What a great ending for these two! 😍
I do feel like the last 25% was a bit rushed but that’s my only complaint. I would’ve loved to see more of Aldo and Gloria instead of Harper and Luke 🤣

I know this author is super popular so I was excited for this book, it it wasn’t for me. The story was a bit cringy and didn’t really enjoy the characters,

Not that I would ever go to Lucy Score for Mexican representation but this book mentions (and I quote) “Sara had the beautiful coloring and luxurious dark hair of her Mexican mama.” and then never mention it again.

bsolutely breathtaking! Finally Mine is everything I love about Lucy Score’s books—deeply emotional, full of heart, and packed with swoon-worthy romance. The second-chance love story between Gloria and Aldo is beautifully written, filled with angst, passion, and so much undeniable chemistry. Their journey is raw and emotional, making every moment between them feel incredibly real and meaningful.
Gloria is a strong, resilient heroine you can’t help but root for, and Aldo? Pure perfection—protective, loving, and completely devoted. Their love story isn’t just about romance; it’s about healing, growth, and finding your way back to the person who’s meant for you.
Lucy Score balances the deep emotions with humor, a charming small-town setting, and unforgettable side characters. I laughed, I cried, and I finished the book with a full heart. If you love second-chance romances with all the feels, Finally Mine is a must-read!

It was really nice to head back to Benevolence and get a glimpse into Aldo and Gloria’s story. A friend told me the storyline was very repetitive so I put off reading it. Honestly, I’m happy I did. It’s hard to weave two timelines with different couples and while I enjoyed this story, I probably would’ve DNF’d if I read it right after book one.

gloria parker has just experienced trauma that every woman fears in her own life -- an abusive relationship (more specifically, one that went on for 10 years). finally escaping her situation, she returns to her hometown, benevolence. i imagine that i would probably do the exact same thing and return home to my parents so that i could recover, rebuild my life, and find myself again. aldo moretta, the town's sweetheart and a military man, also returns home. he was the definition of "he falls first". this man has been in love with gloria since high school and wanted her SO bad. his impending deployment was a major factor that hindered him and gloria from exploring their feelings. when he got hurt, i was so freaked out and really sad. however, it created the perfect opportunity for his and gloria's relationship to bloom as they confronted their demons and found love and support in each other. i love a lucy score novel and am glad i got to read this one!

The second book in the series, deals with touchy subjects. Well detailed characters and story flowed well.

DNF finish had a really hard time getting into which was disappointing because I generally enjoy Lucy Foley's books. Would recommend for anyone to give it a try it might be the book for them.

While Finally Mine is a heartfelt romance, its focus on PTSD, military trauma, and domestic abuse is not my preferred reading experience. However, Lucy Score handles these heavy themes with sensitivity, crafting a story of resilience and healing.
Gloria Parker escapes a decade-long abusive relationship, starting over in a small town where she finds support and friendship. Her journey toward independence is both inspiring and deeply emotional. Aldo Moretta, a longtime admirer, reenters her life just before a military deployment. He gives Gloria the space to heal, but when he returns injured, they must navigate their respective traumas together.
Score delivers a slow-burn romance filled with emotional depth and a strong community backdrop. The novel doesn’t shy away from the raw realities of trauma but balances them with hope, personal growth, and second chances. Readers who appreciate military romance with themes of survival and self-discovery will find Finally Mine a compelling and rewarding read.
While Finally Mine was not a story I enjoyed, I felt a sense of obligation to complete it as a courtesy for receiving the Net Galley ARC. While it would have been easy to set it aside, I chose to see it through in appreciation of the opportunity to share my thoughts.

I was curious to see where this book would go. But to be honest I had a harder time with it. I didn't like that scenes from the first book were repeated in this one. I felt that it didn't really add to the story and made it less engaging. Also for some reason I personally didn't really connect with Aldo's character and their relationship. I found it frustrating a lot of times. And the history of Gloria's abuse was difficult as well. The way that nothing was done for years by any of the characters I found frustrating and wrong.
Just like many Lucy Score books I love the side characters and atmosphere of the town and everything around the main characters. I find that she does that really well. But the main romance/relationship I struggled with in this book. Not one of my favorites from her.

This book seemed to repeat much of what was in the first book. I did not feel strongly about any of the characters. I am excited but hesitant to read the third in the series because of the redundancy.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the early release. The above opinions are my own.

This one hit just right. Gloria’s journey from heartbreak to self-discovery felt raw and real. Their chemistry was electric, but what really stood out was the emotional depth beneath all the flirty fun.

I DNFed this book pretty early on. I learned that Lucy Score just might not be for me. I found this book very slow and a bit boring.

Lucy Score never disappoints!! She will always be a good go-to author. I loved this book and will continue reading anything and everything she releases!

This was my second Lucy Score book and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be reading more of Lucy's books.

Thank you to the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of this book,
Unfortunately, I have decided that this wasn’t the book for me and will not finish reading.
I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to read this book and look forward to future ones.

I liked the first book a bit better, but this one was good. I haven’t found a Lucy Score book I didn’t like. This one isn’t not my favorite book of hers. It is still worth reading, I just didn’t have the emotional pull like with the first book. Which surprised me. I actually thought his relationship with Harper was amazing in book one and we didn’t see that as much here. Would have loved more of that.
I got the book from Netgalley.

"Finally Mine" by Lucy Score is the second book in the Benevolence series where Aldo and Gloria were first introduced. There are some trigger warnings (abuse) but I enjoyed the story. I think this book can be read without reading "Pretend Your Mine" first. Lucy Score writes great romance novels and "Finally Mine" is no different.
Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for my digital ARC in exchange for my review.

DNFed - I chose to DNF this book in the past. I am typing as a review so it doesn't harm my %. I haven't chose to pick the title back up. I do not enjoy this author's writing style.

Okay, so there are some issues with this book, but I didn’t mind the story. Look up your trigger warnings before reading. It does mention domestic violence. The supposed hero doesn’t help her so much even though he and apparently everyone else in town know what is going on. Like I said I didn’t mind the story but it has some issues.
