Ahhhhh this was such a nice read 😭 it's a Christmas-y, super wholesome, newly neighbors/fated mates, wolf-shifter romance, with a heavy dose of found family as well <3
Please, the romance in this book was so swoony 😭 they were so mesmerised by each other, I was screaming. There's also a subplot of issues of house ownership / sabotage and reveals of past secrets, which was also done really well!
TWs - death/murder (past), stalking/sabotage (mild, present)
-- ty to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy!

Edeen Campbell is moving into her new home in the Scottish Highlands just in time for the holidays. She is excited to start on this new adventure, but is wary of her new neighbors. After getting repeated warnings from the previous owner that they were a nuisance, Edeen was ready to be polite but ignore them. She soon finds out, however, that her neighbors are exactly the type of wolves she always wanted to be friends with. Especially Lachlan. The more Edeen gets to know him the more she can’t help but wonder, can Christmas wishes really come true?
On paper, this sounds like it could be a cute story. Neighbor enemies turned lovers, paranormal wolf shifting, Christmas feels. But oh man was it capital B, Bad. The plot was so weak- there was no intrigue, nothing compelling to keep me wanting to read. The romance was worse than a date in middle school and it was so weak I didn’t believe it at all. And don’t get me started on the writing. One of my biggest reading pet peeves is when an author writes like her audience is a bunch of simpletons. “She said this, and he said that, and she was glad he said that because she was thinking about doing this, and he was looking forward to doing that thing with her because he just loved her so much, and she was glad he loved her so much because she just loved him so much”. UGH. And the laundry listing of everything- “the table had this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this, and this on it and it smelled good”. Why not just say “the table had an abundance of delicious smelling food”. It was all filler to make up for a story that basically had no point and a romance that was like tepid water.
If you’ve read all the other books in this series then I’m assuming you’ll like this one? But if you haven’t read any before, I wouldn’t waste precious reading time on it. I am so sorry to say ☹
As always, even though I didn’t enjoy this one, I am forever appreciative for the ARCs I get. Big thanks to Sourcebooks publishing. This book comes out October 10, 2023.

I just love Terry Spears' Scottish wolves series. This one was a great addition! I have read all this series! Lachlan and Edeen were so cute together. Also, I loved seeing more of Colleen & Grant and Hannah & Enrick. I look forward to more in this series!

Edeen moves into her new home, and meets neighbor wolf Lachlan. Good story and romance, and enjoyed this one a lot. Didn't like the Michael story, but thankfully wasn't too much of the book. Would highly recommend this book, series and author.

I enjoyed reading this book. The plot was fairly straightforward, nothing complex, but a good read nonetheless. The characters were relatable and likeable and the villain made sense. All in all a good read.

Filled with suspense full of twists and turns and hard to put down this book has you on the edge of your seat wasn't quite sure what the ending would be. Anyhow, I enjoyed this journey and hated to end it even though could not wait to see what the end will bring.

This is a wonderful wolf romance just in time for the holiday season. When Edeen purchases a house, the prior owner warns her about the horrible neighbors who want her land. The first day she moves in, she meets them, but they're not what she expected. Lachlan is one of the neighbors who comes over to fetch their dog that got loose and marked Edeens door. He's immediately smitten and what follows kept me engaging throughout the book.
If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. I quickly found myself immersed in the wolf world of Scotland and wanting the characters to get their HEA ending. Put this one at the top of your holiday reading list. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Edeen has purchased a wonderful old home in Scotland from an elderly gentleman who warns her about the bad neighbors who want to acquire his property. However when she arrives, she finds that the neighbors, who are also wolf shifters, couldn't be nicer, especially the youngest brother, Lachlan. A castle in Scotland, a close and friendly pack, and a spicy holiday romance--Terry Spear always delivers an enjoyable escape. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.
