This book was so sweet and I enjoyed reading it to my kids. The message is cute and unique. I love the rhyming and overall sweetness of the portrayal.
A fun rhyming story. I was disappointed the the words were on blank pages (e-book) but I suspect when you can see the pictures at the same time as the words it would be enjoyed by many young children.
A pleasant enough verse using the way we give animals a collective noun, alongside the wishes of the narrating character. If I end up revealing what those are, it kind of might act as a spoiler, so there is little I can say about this, although the visuals are fine enough and it's a pleasingly friendly and optimistic kind of sentiment. Three and a half stars.
Such a cute book, I loved reading this with my son. He enjoyed every page with the illustrations. The story was easy for him to follow along and he able to understand and ask questions. 4/5 stars.
Very cute kids book. I read this to my little boy and he loved it and wanted to read it again. I will be buying the hard copy of this book if it’s available and I would recommend this if you have small children!
Overall this was well written and cute. Nice illustrations. Describes what you could do if wishes were various groups of animals.
What a fun book about groups of animals and what they are called. I loved the rhythmic story and the illustrations were really fun!
Very cute book with a wonderful flow to it. Also great introduction of new vocabulary. Appropriate for a wide variety of audiences and ages.
A great book
A fun way to teach children what a group of animals is called
I loved the rhyming, it made it fun to read
The illustrations were very basic but very colourful
Thank you to #Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book. I LOVED the rhyming ! I noticed how the author chose to make some words stand out in bold- and it really intrigued me. Would make a great lesson on just that part! However; the illustrations were just alright to me. Why do we never see the little girl's face in the book? It just seemed a little odd. I still think it was adorable and I will be adding to my class library.
My 5 year old enjoyed this book. He liked learning about the different group names for animals. He also really enjoys books that rhyme so this was well done for him.
I enjoyed the poem and found it a central selling point. The illustrations were collage-styled and disjointed. The lack of cohesion threw me. The message was sweet, and I really appreciated the poem, but the inconsistent illustration took me out of the story.
Such adorable text with rhymes and great vocabulary but the illustrations weren’t as appealing. It may have been because of the use of an app as opposed to a book because they weren’t bad, more underwhelming.
This short, brightly illustrated title informs kids of the names for groupings of animals, for example, a pride of lions. There is whimsy here with some rhyming and appealing illustrations. A cute story for sharing with a young child.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Skyhood Press for this title. All opinions are my own.
What a cute and informative book.
I have a lot of kiddos that are super interested in animals and what their pack is called. This was a cute and clever way to teach them while also entertaining them.
I loved the illustrations and the rhyming as well. This will definitely be a book I will buy for the classroom!
Thank you for allowing me to read it!!
I can’t wait to buy this book for my nieces and nephews. The rhymes were fun and the information were great learning opportunities. Illustrations were cute!
This is a great book! It rhymes, which is always a nice thing, and it teaches you what the different groups of animals are called. I was only familiar with a few of them so learning about more was a nice surprise.
I read this book to my 4 year old and 6 year old son. They paid attention to the story so that's a huge plus. I loved that the story told the real names of group of animals. The only reason I can't give the story a 5 star rating is because of the illustrations. They looked like clip art from Microsoft Word and the cover could use some tweaking. The book has such a nice story line that you could really lean into the images and make this book top notch.
I used to like it. On second thought, why some animals are considered not-so-nice? Thank you the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for sending me this e-ARC.
Anne Watson shows off her rhyming expertise in this story book about animals and their respective group names! The story is educational, and capable of keeping young children engaged. Adults and children alike can learn from this title. The illustrations however, were lacking in their color, contrast, and creativity. For this reason, younger audiences are likely to lose focus on this book after a short while.
