A collection of short poems with illustrations about names for groups of animals. Who doesn't like animals, and who doesn't like the collective term for describing these groups of creatures? As I recall, Alan Sherman had a very clever song doing the very same thing, the lyrics ending with stating that two doctors are known as a paradox (pair of docs, get it?). This book is fun, as is the Sherman song, and is a good pick for the younger set.

Anne L. Watson’s If Wishes Were Fishes is a cute and catchy rhyming book that teaches all about animal groups. The illustrations are appealing and the message is sweet. This would be great for a lower grade classroom library.
