This is a Clean Romantic Suspense. I loved parts of this book, but other parts of this book I did not love. I felt there was action just to have action, but it did not really get us anywhere. I felt the story did not really take shape until over half the book was done. I loved the ending, and I love getting to know these characters. I do not think there was really any romance in this book, and I kindof missed that in this story. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired Suspense) or author (Connie Queen) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Bristol and her son, Spencer have changed towns often, since she left her husband, Rex. With Rex out of the way for good, life in a new town seemed safe, that was until her world was turned upside down.

The story contains lots of danger, unknown answers, mystery, suspense, and lots of twists and turns you won't see coming. This gifted author never fails to deliver and this is one of her best. A very well-written story, with compelling characters that will hook you from the beginning. The ending was a surprise and wrapped everything up nicely. All the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and willingly choose to review it.

Tracking the Tiny Target was written by Connie Queen. This is a romantic suspense story with good, characters, an amazing K-9, and a interesting storyline. Please note the romantic connection was evident throughout the book but no steamy scenes were included.

Deputy Sheriff Chandler Murphy and his search-and-rescue K-9, Tucker reluctantly agree to work with Bristol Delaney to find her three year old son, Spencer, who has been kidnapped. Danger surrounds them as it becomes evident that someone is out to stop Bristol by any means necessary. Can Chandler and Bristol work together to stay alive, find Spencer and get their happily ever after? Read it and find out!

This was a great read. I look forward to reading more from Connie Queen.

This was a story of a mother's love and what she was willing to do for her son. Bristol Delaney turned her husband into the authorities which resulted in his arrest and imprisonment. He vowed to pay her back for what he considered a disobedient and disloyal wife.

When the daycare van transporting Bristol's son, Spencer, and other children is run off of the road, Bristol fears for her son's life, not from an auto accident, but for a man bent on revenge. She realizes her nightmare has come true when they discover that her son has been kidnapped.

Chandler Murphy and his K-9 partner, Tucker, are called to the scene where he is put in charge of the investigation. Bristol insists that she has to help find her son. The chase is on and the bullets are flying. There are some harrowing moments which contribute to the suspense and mystery. The action was full force and the terrifying events will have you suspecting everyone.

Bristol was a force of nature and fearless in her pursuit of the kidnappers. Her faith held strong and this was a great witness to Chandler. Chandler was a wonderful protector and single-minded in his pursuit of justice.

I dearly loved Tucker, the K-9 bloodhound. He was not only a great K-9, but he was a wonderful companion and protector. Connie Queen knows how to hook the reader from the explosive beginning to the dramatic ending. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Thank you to Harlequin, the author and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Books about children always get to me (same as episodes with them on Criminal Minds), however, I knew that this author roots her books in Christ and so I wasn’t as worried. It was a great read that I couldn’t put down. Fast moving, a lot of action, and the entirety of the story isn’t over that much time. Trigger warning for domestic violence. I enjoyed the K9 tracker angle of this and the mystery of who all is involved. I will be looking forward to her next book.

3.5 - Rounded up to 4. Suspense - check! There was a lot of action, pages and pages. Bristol's son was stolen and she refuses to give up. I appreciated the strength and determination. The Sheriffs Deputy Chandler has his own level of determination based on his missing dad. His K9 Tracker always holds a soft spot! I knew immediately who the culprit was and it bothered me that the police didn't question it. The twist at the end was unexpected and appreciated. This is a Love Inspired Suspense book for me it felt light on faith, thought the silent prayers asking to keep her son save were spot on. Sadly the romance was even lighter. Thank you so much for the arc! I freely share my thoughts and opinions. #Trackingthetinytarget #conniequeen #loveinspiredsuspense #netgalley

This story is a clean suspense story with a little romance towards the end.
Bristol Delaney divorced an abusive con artist and has made a home with her three year old. Even though her ex is in prison, she’s always looking back expecting to find trouble from the ex. When a bus carrying her boy with other kids is in an accident she rushes to the scene where she finds her boy missing and has been likely kidnapped.
Deputy Chandler Murphy and his search and rescue dog Tucker are on the scene and assigned to find the missing child.
As these two go in a wild chase , everyone wonders if Rex, the ex, is behind it and why.
At times I found the action overdone , especially when a civilian is allowed to be working so closely with the deputy. Also, as many times as Chandler was injured, he just seemed to recover too quickly.
The ending was a little rushed with the declarations made, and I am still trying to imagine a four year old racing on a horse.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Harlequin. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

"Tracking the Tiny Target" is a suspense novel. This read like an action movie, so everything was a little over the top and not very realistic. For example, Chandler was so injured that he could barely walk but then was in yet another truck crash, hopped out, and was just fine from that point on. Previously stated information sometimes changed to make things more dramatic, like a hole described as 2 foot deep suddenly became at least 3 or 4 foot deep. Some things were never explained, like how Bristol ended up in that hole or where the specialized vehicle and supplies came from for the bad guy to use. It's not like the bad guy knew she'd find him while he was in that area and valuable supplies wouldn't have just been abandoned there. Anyway.

Bristol got out of an abusive marriage and was very independent. She was going to find her son, not just wait for the police to find him. She told Chandler this, but he kept being surprised to find that she wouldn't do as told (stay home and rest) thus making protecting her harder. Bristol thought it sweet that he wanted to protect her (rather than abuse her) and was considerate, but they had no romantic thoughts until about two-thirds of the way in. Suddenly, at the very end, both decided that they were in love after 48 hours together. It felt like the "romance" was shoved in at the end. I liked both characters, but they didn't even work together very well as a team so I wasn't rooting for them to get together.

Chandler wasn't a serious Christian but liked that Bristol was a Christian. The main characters prayed for help on occasion. There was no sex or bad language.
