Meet Me at the Wedding is a sweet read that had me longing for a summer day at a winery. Lily wants her best friend’s wedding at Hawkesbury Estate to be perfect, but when the owner dies, his son Henry cancels the event—but to sell the estate, he needs Lily’s help, so they strike a deal: Lily can have her friend’s wedding if she helps. The more the two spend on the ground, the more the two have to face their past. This felt like a Hallmark movie. This closed-door romance was emotional and heartfelt. Lily has so much love in her but she’s so wary on taking a chance on herself, and Henry is so heavy with his past that he has a hard time moving forward, so watching these two find their connection is really beautiful. It has banter and heart and was just a fun journey to take with them. They’ve both dealt with so much tragedy and loss, and it broke my heart for Lily to see her in this place of loneliness. Watching her bloom was so lovely. I wish there had been more support of her friends, but she also has such a great community too. And I loved how Henry viewed her. There’s a lot of growth in this book. Plus the cover is just stunning! It was sweet and cute and a great summer read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book.
Based on the description of the book, I was expecting a bit more back and forth between the characters, maybe a bit of slow burn to their romance. I felt the characters quickly developed feelings for each other- which isn’t a bad thing but doesn’t quite match up to what I felt came from the book description.
The book follows Lily and Henry. Lily is a workaholic who doesn’t feel she is deserving of a break or lasting love after being ‘left behind’ but the men in her life. Henry is a boy from her past who left after an accident he was involved in caused a lot of damage int he lives of Lily? Her four friends, and Henry. Henry returns back in town to close the estate his father owned but not until he lets Lily host a wedding for a friend. The ‘frenemies’ (I can’t at all call them enemies), quickly develop feelings towards one another and work towards pulling off the wedding and Henry helps Lily she herself in a different light.
I enjoyed Lily and Henry’s back and forth banter, although the quick proposal seemed unrealistic, an overall cute story.
I really adored this book. I was only excited when it ended because I found out that there are books that precede it. That makes sense now because the characters are so well developed, especially the friendships between the three main female characters.
This book really has everything you want in a Romance: a setting at a vineyard and estate, a cute little town, a handsome hero who is a bit rough around the edges, and a heroine who has been burned before and cautious, but who pours herself into the people she loves. Lily and Henry have chemistry, but more than that, they spend time getting to know each other and getting over each other's preconceived notions of one another. There's a lot of depth to this book--there's a backstory about a tragic accident, and difficult relationships between father and son--it's one you can spend a lot of time in. I loved every minute.
Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC of this book.
I love Georgia's books and this one did not disappoint. Lily and Henry were adorable and I loved the glimpse into the English Countryside! At points, I wondered if things were authentic, but I really enjoyed the story.
I simply adored this British Romance. And I loved Lily and Henry. I could reread this book already and I just finished it!
I just reviewed Meet Me at the Wedding by Georgia Toffolo. #MeetMeattheWedding #NetGalley

This book makes me want to read all of Georgia Toffolo's books! She has a way that makes you smile chapter after chapter because everything about her writing is so sweet and heartwarming. Her characters felt real, and Lily easily could be a best friend of mine. The epilogue also made me actually tear up. If my smile could cry, it would do that too. :)
I want to thank the publisher and netgalley for a chance to read this book.
First off, the premise of the book and the English countryside were how I got hooked into reading this.
However, though I cannot say for sure, I dont think this is written by a British author. The usual dry wit is sorely missing. I also noticed a few American phrases like "the what, now?"
The writing style was not my jam and made the pages boring to read.
The plot was actually half decent. If the writing was better, I might have finished it.

This was too freaking cute! I wish Georgia Toffolo would get more hype because I am loving her writing. This one in particular with the wedding themes, swoony romance, and great banter made me feel so many nice things. Check this out ASAP!
