I found this novel hard to get into, not because the plot was slow, or the book is bad, but because the language used , I feel, is targeted towards older readers. I read predominantly YA fiction, and this novel has a very Victorian feeling language.
I enjoyed the plot itself though, even if it took me a long time to read it.
