This is the book/audio that fans have been waiting for. Fans of the Empire High Series have been waiting for Matt and Brooklyn to reunite for the last two installments of the series. This has all the feels. and answers quite a few questions about what has been happening with the crew for the past 16 years. That being said, as the author has said herself, there is a cliffhanger setting up the last book of the series.

Ivy did not disappoint her fans with this one!

I really wish that there would've been something saying this was part of a series. Honestly, I liked this book even though I didn't have any back story on the characters. By itself it is a really cute romance with some quirky side characters. I wish I knew more about the family and relationship dynamics. I thought Tanner and Jacob's relationship was so adorable. At some point I definitely want to start the series from the beginning to really get the full effect. I will have to look into this author because I think I will like her!

This one picks up immediately after the cliffhanger in Homecoming. The reunion between Matt and Brooklyn didn't go as smoothly as everyone hoped, but where do they go from here? He may not have all of her firsts, but will he be okay being her last?

Emotions are running high in this one. There are angsty moments and steamy moments and heartbreaking moments and heartwarming moments. Expect more antics and meddling from Nigel and Tanner. (Those two crack me up.) And there's ANOTHER cliffhanger. I'll be sitting here biting my nails until the next book comes out.

I listened to the audiobook version. The combined narration of Connor Crais and Laurie West made me feel like I could close my eyes and see this playing out on a TV screen. I'm hooked and am looking forward to the next episode.

I decided to DNF this one because I was continually lost and really could not get into the book at all. I didn't care about the characters at all.

I received an audio ARC for this. I typically research to make sure they are not part of a series. I did so with this book. But, I now realize this is actually book 7 of a series and it is mislabeled here.

Now it makes sense why I am lost.

Maybe one day when I have time and am looking for something to read, I will come start with book 1 and see if I like it.

No complaints about the narrators in the 21% I listened to.

I don't even know what to think about this one... the beginning was kind of confusing and then it became super sexual in kind of a weird way. I'm all for sex in books but this was not what I'm used to. The ending was completely unexpected and confusing!

This book is written so well! Ivy has a way with making her readers feel everything her characters are going through. This installment will make you feel a million emotions, from Matt's point of view and also Brooklyns point. She gives you so much more in this book than she had in the last 2 but then she'll also take it back at the last minute and leave you wondering what's right around the corner. She does that a few times in this book. But you'll love it I'm sure. I would suggest that a new ready start at the first installment to get the whole story and to experience the raw emotions that youll feel. Ms.Ivy is an absolute genius when it comes to these beloved characters! Can't wait for EH8.

Empire High Exposed is the next book in the Empire High series. Full disclosure, this is the first book I have read from the series, and it is not a standalone book. Even though I got the gist of the backstory, my take on this book might be slanted. I will also not give too many details because I’m not sure what would be a spoiler.

Unpopular opinion: I listened to this entire audiobook. I wanted to find out what would happen in the story feeling a bit invested in the characters. Unfortunately there was not much I liked about the book. I won’t elaborate as I am aware there are many who are well engaged with this series and I hope they enjoyed this one.

This audiobook was good, the voice actors did a good job when changing characters. They were very expressive and they didnt sound robotic. I would definitely recommend these voice actors. The book was so-so. I have enjoyed this entire series so far, but this book just felt like a weird place holder. I enjoyed Matt and Brooklyns reunion, but other than that, nothing really happened. It felt like a lot of book for such little plot line. I dont know, but otherwise, I enjoyed it. Still love this story, but I think the pace and plot could move a little faster.

love everything listening to the audio is amazing hearing the emotions in their voices. Ivy promise happiness laughter and I laugh Tanner and Nigel and Matt is the best.
You'll get the main conversation early on I won't spoiled it but you'll love it.
The way Ivy pulled you in to the characters and it take you in like you're in their world.
The dynamic between Jacob and Tanner is the cutest thing.

This is my first book by Ivy Smoak and I loved it. Even though I have not read the first 6 books of the series, I didn't need them to know what was going on. The story had a very good flow, and the narration was fantastic, and kudos to the narrators Laurie West and Connor Crais for bringing Brooklyn and Matt to life. The only flaw that I saw was the ending, though. I know this couple has been through so much already, to have to go thru some more issues. Other than that, I enjoyed reviewing Exposed: Empire High book 7 by Ivy Smoak

This was my first ever Ivy Smoak, and I had high expectations! Honestly it fell just a bit flat for me, but I’d still recommend.

Well, Ivy Smaok had this crazy series, and this book 8. The story was definitely more up beat than book 7. It was hot and exciting to read. There are still loose ends to continue the series, and I'm here for all of it.

Perfect. This was PERFECT! This is the book everyone needs to read. There were so many happy moments and some fun throwbacks to early Empire High days. All the moments you have been wanting to see happen in this one.

I don’t want to spoil anything, but trust me. You will love this book, and all the books have been worth it!

I was very concerned on how this book would go based off the last 3. I won't post any spoilers u til the book is released. But I will say that THIS is book I needed and wanted. I wasn't a fan of book 4 or 5. This is everything I wanted from those 2. I smiled and giggled, I gasped as got a little emotional. It was a little bit of a roller coaster but lots and lots of what I wanted to see. And finally a truly steamy EH book!!! I still have a few questions from the series that I wish had been answered or addressed and also I think I know where the cliff hanger is going but after all the craziness this poor couple has had, I don't feel like the additional drama is necessary. I assume it's to tie in other book stuff ( I'm assuming The Society). I have theories but won't spoil quite yet. This is the only reason it's not a 5 star read from me!

I just want to say Connor Crais and Laurie West did a wonderful job bringing Matt and Brooklyn to life in Empire High Exposed. They portrayed the emotions of them both perfectly! You will definitely want to listen to Exposed on audiobook to really get the full impact of it.

I laughed more then I cried. I just enjoyed this so much! But as we all know Ivy Smoak is the Queen of killer cliffhangers and she didn’t disappoint with this one.

This had a lot of emotions anger, sadness, love, passion, hope and forgiveness, it just brought us full circle. If you are a Mattlyn fan like me you will be happy with 99% of this book up until that cliffhanger!

I hope the next book will be out this year because I’m so ready for that HEA.
