When Abbey moved to a small town to live with her aunt she never dreamed she would be investigating a murder. She finds herself trying to prove that someone close to her is innocent.
This is a fun, easy read.
Fast paced, great character development and an unexpected twist(yay).
If you like mysteries, a budding romance, small towns, close-knit communities and gossip, you'll love this book.

With the town’s businesses trying to stay afloat, they’re looking forward to a conference that’s coming to town, everyone is counting on making it successful and bringing more business to everyone. But when a murder happens in town, the business owners all fear this could be a reason for the convenience to be moved to another location.
Abbey Chandler has a little more skin in the game than the others as her aunt is the main suspect. Abbey’s going to do her best to find the killer to save not only her aunt, but all of their businesses as well, even if it seams impossible at times.
I love cozies set in small towns. They’re just comforting and slower paced, until the murder and mystery kicks in, then things pick up. This first in a new series set in small town Hideaway Cove is just the ticket!

Engaging characters and typical small-town problems. The murder victim was almost universally disliked, but it takes quite a bit of sleuthing to narrow the suspects down to the correct one. A light, enjoyable read.
I requested and received a free e-book copy from Kensington Books/Kensington Cozies via NetGalley. Thank you
This book was part good and part bland. It had promise and I was interested in the premise, but the murder mystery didn't seem like the plot of the story at times. Some conversations felt weird and forced and the characters were a bit stiff for me. while the good parts were enjoyable, the blandness was so much that I wouldn't pick this up again. Easily 2.75-3 stars.
I was expecting a bit more excitement from #HangingbyaThread #NetGalley.
Parts of the story seemed redundant and forced, while others we really good.
I like the premise of the story, and I think the author has the beginning of a great cozy series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.
Abbey has moved back to help her Aunt Sarah with her bakery and to set up a sewing space. Enjoyed this one at times, although the murder mystery felt at times a distraction instead of part of the story. Not sure why. Still though, enjoyed it enough to want to see how it ended. Would recommend.
I enjoyed this book very much. It’s fast, interesting and great characters. I was definitely surprised by who the killer is. #HangingbyaThread #NetGalley
This book didn't really pull me in. I liked the writing but there were so many characters and not ask if then were fully explained. I found myself having to go back and look up descriptions from earlier in the story. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.
