This was a cute romance book. It didn't live with it's hyper as I thought it would. I should have expected that. If you enjoy cheesy rom-com books, then you will enjoy this one.

You, Again is a romance that's a When Harry Met Sally reimagining. I loved the characters and their chemistry. It was realistic and how so many emotions. It was entertaining and funny. It was an overall great read and I highly recommend it.

I simply should not read things blurbed by Ali Hazelwood. Ari is a disaster, and Josh needs therapy.

I really enjoyed this romance. It felt refreshingly different than other books in the genre in a way that's difficult for me to explain, I would definitely recommend if you enjoy romance books.

This one took me a while to get into, but since the story evolves over a decade or so, things I didn’t like about the voice in the beginning changed as the character matured. I think it’s a fun ready for fans of enemies to lovers, Harry Met Sally friends-to-lovers, and anyone who wishes The Bear tv show were a romcom. :)

This was a fun ride through friendship and love. I enjoyed the characters. The setting was rich and I loved reading about NYC through their lens.

Synopsis: Ari and Josh meet each other again and again over years before finally agreeing to become friends. Their differences are expansive, but they are continuously drawn to each other as they bond over Ari’ divorce and Josh’s failed restaurant after the loss of his father. Will they ever be able to act on their feelings and risk their friendship?

Review: I’m so grateful to @netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. This book was such a fun and unique romance read! I loved the opposites attract trope here and the banter between the two characters was so funny! My only critique was the timeline seemed a little funky but it wasn’t too distracting. Highly recommend to all!

A quick, short read! Tried a little too hard to be When Harry Met Sally, and the second half was pretty hard to get through for a romance, but overall I liked it. I thought that Josh was more enjoyable than Ari, who was a bit of a mess. Great banter, a satisfying ending, and timeline jumps that actually worked! I'd definitely recommend this one, and can't wait to see what the author comes out with next. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers book. I loved reading a book set in NYC. The friends, Gabe, Rad and Briar, were such a delight. At times Ari drove me nuts with her self loathing.

Loved this story of rwo people running into each other every few years, first not liking each other, becoming friends, ruining it and then finding love. Both are interesting characters having to come to terms with their liv3s, careers, loves, goals, and generally doing into their own.

This book was everything I wanted it to be and more! I finished this book in a day. The characters felt so real and had the perfect mix of romance, comedy, heat, and heart. Everyone in this book needs to see a therapist immediately. It's the perfect modern romcom. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Overall, a very sweet and fun rom-com. My only issues were that it is very obviously Reylo fanfiction (which seems like an oddly popular trend in romance right now) and the main female character was quite unlikeable. I love flawed characters, but she bordered on just rude and mean at times and I want to root for the main couple to get together. I still liked their love story, but if her character had been improved a bit I would have absolutely loved it.

I found it funny, charming, and loved the New York setting as a major part of the story. I can absolutely see that not all bits of the humor will land with all readers, and it's a little chonky for a romance, but I had an enjoyable reading experience.

The banter in this book is a ten out of ten. I really enjoyed the intro to the two main characters and their fraught relationship as it evolves. Yes, they are two very flawed people, with some toxic tendencies, but the progression of their relationship feels very real. Also, the cast of side characters was thoroughly enjoyable! Overall, enjoyable albeit predictable and some innovative plot points for the beloved enemies to lovers trope.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book! Ari and Josh are a fun pair, but I felt it dragged a bit near the end. I love that it felt like watching a rom com!

Really liked this book! Love the unique characters and diverse sexuality representation, which I still find to be severely lacking in romance. I enjoyed the lacking of "alpha male" that Josh portrays, which is ANOTHER personally sought out and hard to find aspect of male characters for me. It was short and sweet, and well written—definitely gave romcom on TV kinda vibes, just a modern take on it.

This had me cackling so much. A true contemporary version of When Harry met Sally and it was so much fun. It had introspective conversations, great banter, and all the romance. I'm looking forward to more by this author.

I would like to thank the publisher, Netgalley, and the author for the ARC of this book. I read an advanced copy of this book, so the final edition of the book might be slightly different. All thoughts and opinions are my own, as always.

I’m a person who has watched admittedly few films, so I wasn’t actually familiar with the source material when starting this one. I didn’t have any expectations going into the book beyond what the synopsis told me, and I can’t provide any final comparison between You, Again and what it was sold as.

What I can say is that I did genuinely enjoy this book. It was a tough one at times, and a lot heavier than I usually expect romances to be, but it worked for me. It was heavy in a sense I haven’t seen a lot in romances. It’s not necessarily all external trauma that the MCs need to heal and recover from. Instead, even though there is still plenty of outside plot that negatively impacts the MCs, they struggle most with themselves, from their perceptions of themselves to trying to break the destructive cycles they find themselves stuck in. It means the book is far from light and fluffy, and the characters honestly suck for most of the book, but it also made the book feel more healing as a result. We get to see the characters get closer, hurt each other badly, heal from that hurt, and learn how to lessen the pain they do to those around them. It’s an incredible journey of growth set over many years, with a romance stringing it all together.

I honestly wouldn’t sell this as a romance if I were recommending this to anyone, because I don’t think it's an entirely fair representation of the book. People would expect different things than this book would actually give them, and I can see someone looking for a classic romance being disappointed by You, Again. However, if someone came into it looking more for a story about two shitty people that get a little better by the end, and fall in love along the way, then I can see them enjoying it a lot more! Overall though, I really enjoyed my time with this book, and would definitely read another book by this author.
