I had mixed feelings about this book. It was harder to get into but I did end up enjoying it. Marshaling Her Heart is the third book in Mary Connealy’s Wyoming Sunrise. I was excited to see that Becky had her own book and to find out how the fight with the Deadeye gang would end.
Becky and Nate were a fun character. I like how they complimented each other. This was a nice one because I felt like they knew each other first as friends and then they fell in love. They were brought together by the circumstances of the Deadeye Gang but they had also been working together for a while.
It was cool to learn more about Nate and getting to read about him interacting with Becky. He really cared for her. I liked how Nate didn’t try to overpower Becky but he listened to her. Becky was cool. She was such a strong woman but it was sweet to read about her interacting with Nate. Becky saw that Nate was different from others.
The book was interesting and there was definitely a lot going on. There were some fun twists and turns. I enjoyed reading about Nate and Becky. I did not prefer reading about the other characters this time, it was more annoying to me. But otherwise, the book was good.
I would recommend Marshaling Her Heart to those who enjoyed the other books. Marshaling her Heart is a Christian Western romance.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

I loved Marshaling her Heart! This story is humorous, inspiring, full of action and suspenseful. It is the story of Becky, a successful ranch owner, and her friends in the small Wyoming town of Pine Valley. The danger from the Dead Eye gang has brought attention from the U.S. Marshals, but Becky won't let them run rough shod over her. She has her foreman Nate there to help her. The story has its humorous parts with Samantha and Leland's antics. Although this book is a standalone book, it is best to read the entire series. Each book in the series focuses on one of three best friends and members of the Deadeye Gang. This is definitely one series I will be rereading.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Bethany House Publishers for the advanced readers copy. This review is my honest opinion of the book.

Book #3 picks up awhile after book #2 and this time we get to have Becky's story. To be fair I think she's my favorite of the three friends. In this book we get the conclusion of the Deadeye Gang as it comes to climax and we will see Becky finally having to resolve the issues with her father.

We also will get to see Luke more closely as he works with Becky but also a little bit more about his past. Becky also learns she can trust men because there ARE some great ones out there.

All in all it was pretty predictable. Nothing was a surprise. So if you are just looking for a low key low emotional connection book, here's another western for you.

A good conclusion to a good series.

MARSHALING HER HEART is the third novel in the Wyoming Sunrise series by MARY CONNEALY. Although it can stand alone, I am glad I have read all three books in this exciting and inspirational series.
The story takes place in 1871 in Pine Valley, where, although the Wainwright boothers who led the Deadeye Gang are dead, there is still fear that the gang is alive and well, and ready to strike again. Becky Pruitt, who left her abusive father and started up her own very successful ranch, with ex U S Marshall Nate Paxton working for her, agrees to letting her ranch be the headquarters for the search, Nate’s brother Sal and two other marshalls work under cover as cow hands on the ranch to follow a lead…..
Becky’s two friends, Mariah, who runs a blaksmithing business, and Nell, who is Justice of the Peace in the area, are both married, making Becky feel lonely.
All three women are good examples of women’s liberation…
I like the godly characters (althugh of couse there are also viklains in the mix) and the strong Christian message of the importance of forgiveness and of honouring one’s parents, rnnning through the book….
I am not going to tell you any more for fear of spoiing things for you.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was the perfect end to the series and I loved getting to know Becky. Her story isn't an easy one, but there's humor and light to keep the pages turning. And the hero is the right touch of strong and vulnerable. I'm so glad I had the chance to read this Western romance that's laced with humor and mystery.

I was devastated for Becky and the horrific relationship she had with her Pa. Was also so proud of her faith in God and the strength she had to overcome her Pa and the pain he caused her both physically and emotionally. Becky running her own ranch in the Wild West since she was 18 years old, shows everyone who meets her, just how tough she really is. Truthfully, many times I wanted to jump into the pages of this book to not only give Becky a hug but encourage her to keep standing her ground as well.

This is the first book by Mary Connealy I have read and was in awe of her prose. Her character development and scenic imagery allowed me to feel like I was there the whole time. Knowing this was the third and final book in the Wyoming Sunrise Series I was concerned that I would be lost not having read the first two, but to my surprise I had no issues. Thus Marshaling Her Heart can be read as a standalone. Mary Connealy has been added to my author list to read as I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

I won this ARC as part of the Library Thing’s Early Review Program via NetGalley from publisher Bethany House. I was under no obligation to write a favorable review and received no compensation for writing this review.

1871 in Pine Valley, Wyoming was a beautiful, but dangerous area. A visit from one of the foremost women in suffrage, Mrs. Mussel, is expected shortly. But for some reason, the Deadeye Gang is back looting the stages and killing all witnesses, bringing the US Marshals into the area. Will safety or death greet this important visitor?

Becky Pruitt had made a name for herself by purchasing and homesteading her own ranch, something she has been very successful at. However, it appears her father, who has his own spread, seems to need to have hers as well, something he is not above obtaining illegally. Just how far will he go?

There is plenty of excitement and action in Wyoming Sunrise #3. Catching up with the ladies from the first two books rounded out the series. An early copy was received through Baker Publishing Group, Bethany House Publishers and NetGalley. These impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.

This is the third book in Mary Connealy’s Wyoming Sunrise series. You’ll want to have read the first two, Forged in Love and The Laws of Attraction, before this one, because the those books introduce most of the characters, as well as setting the stage for the showdown between Becky and her Pa. I really enjoy that Connealy writes strong women and the men who come to love and support and respect them. She does have some nasty villains as well, and there’s a bit of bloodshed, all due to those villains.

I liked the pacing in this book – after each heart-stopping encounter with the bad guys, there’s a short lull as we learn more about how Samantha and Leland’s marriage is playing out (they married in haste at the end of The Laws of Attraction), how Mariah and Clint handle her having a baby, and the fun of Becky & Nate’s growing attraction to each other.

I really enjoyed reading this book, and am sorry the series has come to an end.

This was the first time reading a novel by Mary Connealy. The relationship between Nate and Becky was sweet, although for me I felt that some parts were undeveloped; as though something was missing. Learning more about women suffrage was interesting and Clint’s meals sounded delicious!

I would read more novels from the same author; good, clean content.

Marshaling Her Heart is the last entry into the Wyoming Sunrise series. Although part of the series, it can be read as a standalone since each entry tells the story of a specific character. Ms. Connealy has written an enjoyable historical fiction with strong female characters. The readers as they move through the book learn what has made Becky so strong as she owns her own ranch in 1871.
Readers learn a little about the women's suffrage movement and some of the challenges that the movement encountered as well as how the west was much more forward than states in the East. Looking for a historical fiction read with strong female characters, Marshaling Her Heart is recommended. The romance is sweet and beliveable as well.
I received an ARC ebook from NetGalley and the publisher, Bethany House Publishers, in exchange for an honest review.

This Western romance concludes the Wyoming Sunrise trilogy, which follows the fortunes of three independent women in 1871 Wyoming. This particular tale tells of Becky, the young woman who was able to leave her oppressive father's ranch and set up as a rancher on her own when she came of age and received an inheritance from her maternal grandparents. In the past two books, a relationship of sorts began to develop between Becky and her ranch foreman, Nate. Also, the town has been dealing with a mysterious and vicious band of robbers. The stories converge here, as Nate reveals that he was formerly with the U.S. Marshals and has been asked to temporarily rejoin in order to trap the Deadeye gang, believed to be headquartered near Becky's ranch. Mystery, mayhem and true love abound on the way to a neatly tied up conclusion.

The story is neatly told, and it was nice to catch up with Nell and Mariah and their families from the prior stories. There is nothing original here, and it is very reminiscent of the old TV westerns of the 1960s. It's predictable, but enjoyable still.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Mary Connealy's Wyoming Sunrise series is a perfect combination of Western Romance, Christian Fiction and Female Empowerment rolled up into one. I've loved all three books and although they can be read as standalones these sisters of the heart are amazing together. Becky and Nate were meant for each other. He admires her strength and perseverance and she experiences an unconditional love she's never had before. A not to be missed series and book!

Mary Connealy is the author of Marshaling Her Heart which is the third book in the Wyoming Sunrise Series trilogy. This book could be read even if you have not read the first, Forged in Love or the second, Laws of Attraction. It is set in Pine Valley, Wyoming. This is a growing town with friendly people near the Wind River Mountains. It is also 1871 when stagecoaches are still being robbed by the Dead Eye Gang who left no witnesses behind.
Becky Pruitt was an independent rancher who struck out on her own, away from her father, when she received an inheritance from her grandparents. She owned a large ranch outside of Pine Valley and had many ranch hands. Nate Paxton was her foreman and she also had Jan and Roscoe Grable living with her to help with the day to day running of the ranch.
Sal Paxton, the brother to Nate, was coming for a visit Nate informed Becky. He was also bringing a couple friends with him, and Nate wanted her to hire Sal and two of his friends as ranch hands. The other seven friends, or rather marshals, would also show up after her cattle left the ranch for the long cattle drive to Denver with her other ranch hands. The marshals thought that her ranch was the perfect place for them to occupy while they were on the hunt for the Dead Eye Gang. Her question was how did her father, Joshua Pruitt, fit into all of it?
The problem was that Becky could tell no one about their plan. That included not telling her best friends, Nell and Mariah, and their family. This was a page turning book with wonderful characters and Mary Connealy makes the reader see them for who and what they are as well as painting a very realistic setting of this western landscape.
I highly recommend this inspirational book as well as the entire series.

" 'The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?'
She could almost smile because the peace had swept away all her fear. And she hung there and waited and prayed."

After finishing the previous book, "The Laws of Attraction" (5 stars for that one! If you haven't read it, you seriously need to!) which ended with a pretty good cliffhanger, I couldn't wait to read the story of Mariah and Nell's best friend, Becky!
And Marshaling Her Heart certainly didn't disappoint.

Becky Pruitt is a tough gal, as if you couldn't tell from the gorgeous cover which features her in a rugged yet feminine cowgirl's attire and packing her trusty pistol. For those who don't already know, I love a well-written "girls with guns" story, and this is one of those!

The story mentions a bit about women's suffrage, but it doesn't stay there too long to my relief. Often in other books the subject is overdone and written in a very irritating and anti-male fashion, but in this book that wasn't the case. Before long, we get back to the wild west manhunt we've been waiting for throughout this series.

The only offensive language in this book was "fool" and that was used just twice.

Marshaling Her Heart was a great conclusion to a nice western series, and I'm really looking forward to what's next on the horizon for this author!

Thank you to the publisher for the complimentary paperback I received to review through Interviews and Reviews, as well as the complimentary Netgalley ARC I received to review through the Library Thing Early Reviewers program. Marshaling Her Heart by Mary Connealy is the final book in her Wyoming Sunrise series that will hold the reader's attention from the first page to the last.

Each novel in the series has focused on three friends: Mariah, Nell, and Becky. In this book, we get more of Becky's backstory, and while those who have read the series know how horrible her father was, we find out just how evil he truly is.

With a great plot that picks up speed and keeps you intrigued to the last page, I was delighted to visit with all the characters I've grown to love since the first book. It was wonderful to see where they were in their lives.

Since I read an unedited ARC, there were some explanations missing regarding the mystery surrounding Becky's father. But overall, this is a delightful novel that, while it can be read as a standalone, would be far more enjoyable if you read all of the books so that you can get to know these great characters and their stories. I highly recommend it!

#3 Wyoming Sunrise
Connealy is one of my favorite Christian authors and I was thrilled to read this one! It’s my favorite of the series but could easily be read as a stand alone. I love the cover design. Becky Pruitt’s story is so interesting. I enjoyed the updates on Mariah and Nell from the first two books as well. I loved the action and danger! Highly recommend.

Mary Connealy is one of my all time favorite authors, and I always look forward to her latest books. I have been anticipating reading Marshaling Her Heart, as I believe it is the third book in her latest series. As with Mary’s previous books, the cover design is beautifully done. While it is the third book in the series, I feel it can be read as a stand-alone without any confusion.

I have to say out of all of the books in this series, this one was my favorite! The series started out with a very strong feministic view, which at times was a little off-putting. However, this final book wrapped it up with the message that you can be a strong female that can do things as well as a man, but still be feminine. I thought there was great character development between the main characters, even in the previous books, and great chemistry. The plot was very well developed and kept me intrigued. However, there are a few things that were never answered surrounding the mystery.

Overall, the book is very well written and I look forward to reading more of Ms. Connealy’s books in the future. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good, clean Christian mystery with a touch of romance added in.

Such a fun read! A delightful mix of western, romance, Christian and intrigue. While this is book three, you can read it as a standalone without any issues.

The plot, while not original, was fun to read from Becky’s perspective, and the characters were relatable.

All together an enjoyable, clean and wholesome read.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Becky, a single woman tired of her father's abuse, takes her inheritance from her grandparents and buys a ranch. Then hires her own ranch hands to help work it. Everything is going fine for several years, but things begin to change, and her life becomes complicated.

A dangerous gang, U.S. Marshalls, and an unexpected new relationship test her strength and faith. The story is filled with suspense, mystery, and non-stop action. It kept me on the edge- of-my-seat wondering how everything would turn out. Lots of surprises and it kept me engaged till the end. A definite page-turner. Highly recommended.
