Scaredy Squirrel is always a delight and this did not disappoint. I am really enjoying the graphic novel style as this will allow a wider audience to enjoy the adventures of Scaredy and his friends. I have been a fan of the stories since I happened upon the first picture book at a Scholastic Book Fair many years ago. This particular entry is all about Christmas, and as usual, Scaredy has quite a bit of preparations to do. I love that the humor is accessible to children but adults can get a laugh too. I especially like how Scaredy changed the lyrics to a well known Christmas Carol as it always makes me think of how we often make lyric errors and when he "plays dead." I eagerly anticipate the next installment of the series and recommend these books to anyone who like to have a good laugh. I also think these books are a great way to broach the topics of fears/phobia that children might have in a very gentle manner.
