The summary was very appealing. The novel was a quick read. This is the first book by Daniel Hurst that I have read, but it won’t be my last. I love his writing style and voice. I wish there had been a few more things going on story wise.

Thank you NetGalley and Inkubator Books for this advance reading copy in exchange for my honest review.

A fast-paced domestic suspense! CW for partner abuse and DV.

Loved—the plot. Chrissy from the shop.

Didn’t love—the characters or their actions, and I wish there were more explosive twists.

Overall, a quick and fun read!

Kate is having doubts about marrying Mark. She is worried that time is running out for her as her thirty ninth birthday looms and most of her friends are married and have children of their own. Kate realises that Mark is very controlling and emotionally abusive towards her. When she is out shopping for her wedding dress an attractive young couple, Tristan and Tess, come into the shop also looking for a wedding dress. Kate becomes obsessed with them and decides to follow them. This puts her on a collision course as she becomes fixated withTristan and is sure he would be more of a suitable partner than Mark. Kate sees that Tristan and Tess have big problems of their own and as her wedding draws nearer she realises that she has some big decisions to make, especially as both couples are hiding secrets from their past. This book is full of lies, betrayal and envy. A little far fetched at times but still an enjoyable read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Inkubator books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I love all Daniel Hurst books! He knows how to develop a story that has so many twists and turns with strong well developed characters. He is a master at creating explosive, mind blowing cliffhangers throughout. How does he come up with so many creative, suspenseful plots? His mind is amazing! He is one of those authors I see a new book, I immediately read it. A must read! Highly addictive, fast-paced psychological thriller.

When Kate is shopping for her wedding dress, she encounters another couple that looks so happy. She starts to wonder if she is doing the right thing by marrying Mark. He doesn't treat her like the other man treated his fiance.

This book holds your attention and keeps you engaged to the end.

Kate is getting married! Her groom to be is abusive!! What else can she do when she sees Tristan and his fiancée in the bridal shop looking all cozy and in love? Become a stalker of course! This read is cringe worthy in a good way. I enjoyed the short chapters and character depths.

I really enjoyed this novel by Daniel Hurst! Page turner with lots of twists and turns. This is a gripping psychological thriller that sucks you in. Abuse in any relationship is wrong and you shouldn't put up with it. I didn't see the ending coming and was shocked by how it turned out ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

The plot is not the most realistic but it is an fun, easy read which might work well as you sit on the beach with a cocktail!

Without even noticing, I have read 4 books this weekend that circulate around brides and wedding days. I wonder if my subconscious is trying to tell me something?

The Bride To Be, is sure to be a hit amongst ALL book lovers! This book right here is intense and I loved every minute of it! This was my first book by Daniel Hurst, but I promise it will not be my last.

Daniel Hurst, orchestrated a book that is character and emotion driven. I felt every bit of pain that was experienced throughout this book. It pulled at my heart strings, I screamed out loud, I gasped quite a few times, I felt it ALL.

As I glanced down at my hands after concluding this book, I realized I had chewed my fresh manicure right down to the beds. I didn't even notice. I was doing it ! Thats how much I was consumed by this book.

This book right here is IT!

No need to wait, this book is out now and I promise, you are going to love it!

What if saying yes was only the first mistake?

Her concerns only grow when she spots a ridiculously happy couple during a wedding dress fitting. Realising that they have everything she wants, she becomes obsessed with the pair.

She decides that the groom, Tristan, is her ideal man and becomes fixated on getting closer to him. As she does, she discovers more and more about him and his seemingly perfect life with his bride-to-be, Tess.

And realises that below the surface they have their problems too.

As the wedding draws nearer, Kate has some big decisions to make. Should she leave Mark? Is Tristan the one she should really be with? And what will happen when the dark secrets that both couples are hiding come out into the open?

WOAH!!! I didn’t expect that to unfold, as it did.

A wedding day is something a girl dreams about her whole life, unless it’s to a person you thought you knew but learned that was far from the case.

Every single twist was unexpected to the length of the twist. You may have seen it kind of going along those lines but how things actually panned out were crazy.

I loved it but I always love Mr. Hurst’s books!

I received this book as a netgalley arc in exchange for my honest review.

"The Bride To Be" by Daniel Hurst is a gripping psychological thriller that had me hooked from start to finish. The story follows Kate, a soon-to-be bride who becomes obsessed with a seemingly perfect couple, Tristan and Tess. As Kate delves deeper into their lives, she uncovers hidden problems and dark secrets that add layers of suspense to the narrative. Hurst keeps the tension high as the wedding day approaches, making it a page-turner filled with twists and turns. While some parts felt familiar, the relatable characters and smooth writing style made it an engaging read. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers with obsession and secrets, give "The Bride To Be" a go.

I’m sorry but I did not like this book at all. The characters were incomplete, the story line was incomplete and there was no real emotion behind the actions.

The abuse, both physical and mental was without emotion and flat. The obsession and stalking was lacking. There was no real feelings making anything jump out from the pages for me.

The characters were totally flat and the plot was mismatched and messy.

As expected, another great book by Daniel Hurst. I've enjoyed them all. He seems to be a master at surprising twists, and this book did not disappoint. I hope he continues to write these quick thrillers.

📚Book Review 📚 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

The Bride to Be by Daniel Hurst

Doubts about her fiancé, Kate doesn’t have typical blushing bride excitement while preparing for her upcoming wedding. While shopping for a dress, she spots the perfect couple and becomes fixated on them. She starts dabbling as a stalker but soon realizes she is not alone in the doubt pool. Is anyone going to the 💒?!

This wasn’t my favorite book by Daniel but he is still fantastic at capturing your attention and has you eager to turn the page. I felt something was missing and fell flat at the end. This wont stop me from reading his others!

This is one of the books that looks like it is going to go somewhere, but it just never does. It seems like it will be intriguing when in the first part of the book there is an arrest related to wedding. The plot just seemed to amble along and became more ridiculous and unplausible as it went on. Tess was the most disappointing character for me. This was the opportunity to make the book interesting, but instead we just get more of Kate's incessant inner monelogue. Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.

I usually love books by this author but this one just wasn’t for me. I wasn’t that excited about it and lost interest.

Kate is getting married and whilst it should be an exciting time she is having some serious doubts about her finance Mark and the way he psychologically mistreats her.

Whilst shopping for her wedding dress, Kate spots a ridiculously happy couple- she wonders why her and Mark are not just like them and becomes infatuated by them.

However, as Kate's obsession leads to her finding out more and more about this couple- are they really as perfect as they seem? Or will she uncover some deep dark secrets?

As a crime fiction thriller lover who is also a bride to be in less than 8 weeks there was no way I was passing up a chance to read The Bride To Be. I've not read a crime fiction thriller which surrounds a wedding before so I have to say so it was great to read a book with this premise.

The short chapters written by the author really gave the book a nice fast paced which meant I couldn't stop turning the pages and got through it very quickly.

I wasn't a lover of the characters- their actions weren't always believable but then again neither was the storyline, despite this I enjoyed the overall plot of the story and the suspense maintained throughout the book.

Overall, four stars! If you liked the 'Girl on the Train' then you are sure to enjoy this as I could definitely draw upon some similarities.
