Kate is getting married. It’s an exciting time, but she has some doubts - her partner Mark sometimes mistreats her, and she is beginning to wonder if he is really “the one”.
Her concerns only grow when she spots a ridiculously happy couple during a wedding dress fitting. Realising that they have everything she wants, she becomes obsessed with the pair.
She decides that the groom, Tristan, is her ideal man and becomes fixated on getting closer to him. As she does, she discovers more and more about him and his seemingly perfect life with his bride-to-be, Tess.
And realizes that below the surface they have their problems too.

This book took me a little longer to get into, so if you're somebody who needs to be hooked right away (like myself) this might not be the book for you. That being said, about 25% in my attention was finally hooked and I finished the book in that sitting. With twists and turns you could never see coming, the Bride to Be is a wonderfully unique & intense thriller is sure to keep you on your toes.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy of this ebook.

Daniel Hurst is an auto-read author for me. I don’t even read the descriptions, all of his books are light, fun, and twisty and this was no exception.

Daniel Hurst is one of my favorite new found author. Absolutely loved this book! This is my 3rd book by this author and I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a quick read.

A quick and easy read, though a tad frustrating at times.

Kate is having doubts about marrying her fiance Mark. She knows he is abusive, is already walking on eggshells around him, and then refuses to call off the wedding and all just to save face. She's 38 and believes this to be her only chance at marriage.

While trying on wedding dresses, she spots a couple. Kate fixates on the other woman's fiance, which all just leads to more and more trouble.

I enjoyed reading this, but Kate and her choices were incredibly frustrating at times. She states multiple times that she doesn't want to marry her fiance, but continues on anyway.

I liked Kate, loved Tess, and enjoyed all the twists and turns.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with this ARC. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

“Less than forty-eight hours ago, I was just a woman on her way to find a wedding dress in a shop. But today, I am a woman on her way to find the man she saw in that wedding dress shop.”

Kate Allen is keeping a secret. Actually, she’s keeping LOTS of secrets. What she doesn’t know is that she isn’t the only one.

I love Daniel Hurst books! They are always fast-paced, high-interest and full of twists.

Are you looking for a quick read? One that will make you gasp as well as cackle wickedly? Like to be surprised? You must read this book.

Hurst explores the stress brought on by planning a wedding and finding the perfect dress, as well as the burden of self-doubt surrounding making such an important life decision. You’ll not want to miss this one!

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I really enjoyed this fast paced thriller. Kate is 38 years old and looking to get married as all of her friends are married and with children. The problem is that she settles for Mark whom she is not sure she really loves and who has a sort of bipolar personality. While looking for a wedding dress, she becomes infatuated with another couple there and begins stalking them. I won't go into all the other "surprises" as I do not want to ruin it. I did really like the book and was going to definitely give 5 stars but I felt the ending was a little rushed and far fetched.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC of The Bride To Be by Daniel Hurst, published by Inkubator Books
This was a fun book to read, I liked the plot, the story and writing flowed well, characters were well developed and likable, and a twist at the end that I didn't see coming. I'll be checking out more books by this author
Kate is the main character, the story revolves around her and her fiancee Mark. They are preparing for their wedding, just 4 weeks away, but Kate is having second thoughts. As Kate is trying on wedding dresses, she notices another couple in the bridal shop, she wants her relationship to be like theirs, or does she?
Great novel, really liked the writing style, character development, just when you think main character is going to do the wrong thing, she chooses the right option (although nothing I would do, lol), a couple of times she chooses honesty rather than digging a bigger whole. I would have liked to know how her life ended up though.
I recommend this novel and this author, I need to check out more of his work.

Great read! I was engaged from the first page and couldn’t stop reading. It had a surprise ending and great suspense throughout the book

I have to say this book wasn’t for me, but I would be willing to try another book from the author. It was a little too slow for me and the writing style didn’t gel with me.
Thank you for the opportunity to read it.

I have read about six books so far by Daniel Hurst, and "The Bride to Be" is definitely one of my favorites! It is a super fast read--I finished it in a few hours yesterday afternoon, and it helped stave off the "Sunday Scaries"!

Kate is growing increasingly hesitant about her impending wedding day due to the emotional manipulation she experiences from her partner Mark. When she sees a seemingly perfect couple in the bridal gown shop, she almost instantly decides she wants their life. She becomes obsessed with the man, Tristan, and will stop at seemingly nothing to get closer to him. Of course, things do not proceed as Kate plans, and soon everything starts to spiral out of her control.

I really enjoyed this! It kept me engaged the whole time, with a lot of little twists I didn't expect. Definitely 5/5 for plot! The characters weren't very likable, but I always expect that from thrillers. Some of the writing was a bit awkward and repetitive, but I honestly found it better than some of Hurst's other books.

I would definitely recommend "The Bride to Be" if you have read and enjoyed Hurst's other works! 4.5 stars rounded up.

Shock after shock, after shock! a thrilling, edge of your seat read! Daniel Hurst pulls it out of the bag again with this fast paced and gasp out loud read. A story which looks at two brides on the build up to their wedding day, but is everything as it seems and who will be the victims in the end? Not everything is as it seems...

I tried to read this despite finding this writer's style unenjoyable in a previous book. Couldn't get beyond the first chapter. Exact same voice as the last book despite different character, and still saying "that was because..." every other sentence to over explain things. I'm sorry!

Another great thriller by the author. Hurst ropes you in from the very first page and I could not stop reading! I had a hard time deciding if Kate was a reliable or unreliable narrator. It kept me guessing and doubting the whole time. This was a great, fast paced read that I'd recommend!

An excellent thriller that had me pulled in from the first page. I really enjoyed this book and by far one of my favourite authors.

The Bride To Be was a very quick thriller/domestic suspense read with a strong hook at the beginning . It was a bit all over the place throughout the book but it kept me guessing. I liked it and it kept me entertained but it didn't start to head in to the "I love this book" ratings. Definitely a bit twisty and odd characters.

This book was so good! It kept me wanting more and kept me thinking up until the very end. Daniel Hurst is an amazing author that knows how to capture the reader from the start.

Thank you to @netgalley and inkubator books for allowing me to read this ARC.

I’ve really struggled to rate this book as I really wasn’t sure of it at first and there were still aspects of it that I hated throughout and even towards the end I wasn’t totally happy with it however there were aspects of the book I really did like.

*may contain spoilers - I’m really going to try not to however I’m sorry if I do*

My main thought throughout was Kate. I did grow to like her a tiny bit towards the end and I did feel for her in ways as her partner Mark, clearly was awful. But she just irritated me. I found her quite immature. The whole ‘stalking’ aspect. Suggesting she wasn’t stalking but quite clearly was. I know this was part of the further plot but I couldn’t shake off the irritation. You would not think she was a 38 year old woman with how she acted and her obsessiveness. You kinda just wanted to tell her to leave Mark as she clearly didn’t want to marry him.

Tristan however. Well my heart went to him. He seemed like an absolute dream husband. And what my favourite part of this book was and how special was it highlighting the affects of Domestic Abuse especially for men who are afraid to speak out. He was such a strong, tough man by visual but behind closed doors was a different story. And I really felt for him and his story. Especially when Kate is watching their house, my heart was hurting during that section.

It wasn’t my favourite thriller which is why I’ve rated it lower than most. However it did earn an extra star due to the sensitivity and nature. I did feel some of the events were abit thrown in however towards the end it did all blend together and this is why I did enjoy.

I find it so hard to review when it wasn’t my favourite, however I choose to be honest and overall it was still a good read.

New favorite author alert! This is my second read by Daniel Hurst and it will certainly not be my last! I previously read the delightful The New Year's Party, and instantly knew I need to read more by this author.

The Bride to Be follows Kate who is engaged to Mark and still shopping for her perfect wedding dress, even though the wedding date is quickly approaching. She ends up in a dress shop where she encounters a beautiful and mysterious couple and is intrigued enough that she decides to follow them.

The story took a lot of twists and turns that I was not prepared for! I couldn't wait to find out what would happen to Kate. This was a phenomenal book and I can't wait to read more from this author!

Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for my advanced copy.

Wow! This was such an entertaining thriller full of some many twists and turns. This was my first read from Daniel Hurst - cannot wait to see what else this author has in store for us!

The story revolves around Kate, who is set to marry her partner, Mark. However, Kate and Mark do not have a picture perfect relationship. Kate is out shopping for a wedding dress when she spots a seemingly perfect couple. Kate becomes obsessed with the groom, Tristan. Like Kate and Mark, Tristan and his fiancé also have their set of issues. Are Tristan and his fiancé actually much more similar to Kate and Mark then we were lead to believe?

Whenever I thought I had the plot figured out, something happened to completely change my suspicions!

Thank you Inkubator Books and NetGalley for the advanced copy.
