Chloe Hahn agrees to be violinist Anthony Larsen's pretend girlfriend to save his reputation in Jayci Lee's dual-POV age gap forbidden romance Just a Few Fake Kisses..., Hana Trio #3. But things get out of control when they both start catching feelings after deciding to have a no-strings fling, and feelings unexpectedly cause them to get involved too deep too fast.

I love Jayci Lee's novels. She's a gifted storyteller whose writing is vividly descriptive, emotional, funny, steamy, and sexy, with excellent development of her complex, relatable, fallible, and likable characters through snarky interactions and expressive, intimate, steamy, and sexy scenes. Additionally, her language and dialogue are colorful and natural sounding. Just a Few Fake Kisses... drew me in from the opening scenes and kept me glued to the novel to the last page.

Chloe's excited by the news that her long-time crush, Anthony, will play with the Hana Trio in her sister's spot during her maternity leave. Unfortunately, a romantic relationship from Anthony's past jeopardizes his image and a personal project vital to him. To salvage his reputation, he asks Chloe to be his pretend girlfriend. Chloe agrees, believing he's still in love with his wife and there is no likelihood they'll fall for each other. Their age difference and her brother-in-law's overprotectiveness also stand between them. Besides, she promises that there's no way she catches feelings for him—it won't happen. But the instant and intense attraction they share transforms into a deep desire and connection that is so unexpected that it makes fighting it more difficult.

I love Lee's development of Tony and Chloe's relationship and how they try to keep things professional by fighting the chemistry and connection they share. This leaves them both pining, thirsting, and believing the other isn't interested when it's clear how into each other they are—and it's far more profound than just sex. Their steamy, intimate, emotional, and sexy love scenes further evolve their relationship and characters and progress the novel.

A grad student, Chloe is the youngest and the constant of the sisters and the Hahn trio. She's empathetic, wise, kind, intelligent, funny, and accomplished—but, unlike her sisters, she doesn't keep secrets. However, it gets tiring always to be perfect. And lonely. Gaming is her escape from all of that. I love Chloe. She's so mature, sweet, and thoughtful for her age. Chloe stands up for herself and what she wants and is much stronger and fearless than she knows. Chloe cares for her father while working on her thesis and doesn't have time for romance. An avid gamer, Chloe plays in an online gaming competition. I love those scenes in her downtime that lead to a funny and entertaining enemy-to-rivals story to friends or possibly more.

A child prodigy and virtuoso violinist, Tony is a colleague of Daniel, Chloe's sister Meghan's boyfriend. Tony's a brilliant musician, perfectionist, and workaholic with a good sense of humor. Personally, his life has been a mess since his wife's death. Unfortunately, Tony has a less-than-stellar reputation as a womanizer and fuckboi. He's had no serious relationships since becoming a widower because he fears intimacy, is burdened with guilt, and still grieves his wife's loss. Tony puts on a façade of being a polite, older, serious, boring man with no sense of humor who's all about music to make himself uninteresting to Chloe and create distance between them to keep things professional. I feel for Anthony because he is carrying some emotional baggage that is destroying him, and his self-esteem is so low. And he does that to himself for no reason.

Like her sisters, Chloe chafes at how her family meddles and interferes. Their scenes together are so well-written and relatable. I love how Lee continues to develop those relationships and the Hahn family characters and carries that continuity throughout the novels, especially with their father. He's grown so much as the series has progressed. While he can be controlling and may meddle in their lives too much, he genuinely loves his daughters and cares about their happiness and hearts.

A sexy, funny, emotional, steamy, and angsty romance, Just a Few Fake Kisses is a fast-paced romance exploring themes of consent, letting go of fears, guilt, self-esteem, forgiveness, first love, sacrificial love, respecting boundaries, family, grief, and sisterhood. I highly recommend the novel for fans of fake dating, forbidden romance, interracial romance, and age gap tropes.

This is the 3rd book in the “Hana Trio Series.” Anthony is celebrated violinist. Chloe is a musician. There is a ten-year age difference between Chloe and Anthony. Anthony being older than Chloe but noting that would pose a problem. Chloe has had a longtime crush on Anthony. Anthony lost his wife and seems to be getting into all types of drama and is in need of PR help. Anthony is constantly punishing his self over the death of his wife while grieving his lost. Chloe is thrilled when she learns that Anthony will be joining the Hana Trio while her sister is away on maternity leave. With Anthony in need of PR help for his reputation mishaps Chloe agrees to be his fake girlfriend. With Anthony and Chloe spending time together there feeling come full force and the relationship takes a turn in the real zone and away from the fake zone. At times Anthony was a real piece of work but he seems to be getting back on track which has redeeming qualities.

Can and will Anthony take his feelings seriously and stop punishing himself for the death of his wife, will Chloe be able help Anthony with his PR in being his fake girlfriend, is there an HEA in store for the couple?

I received an ARC via NetGalley and Harlequin Romance and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

She did it again! I love the "fake dating" books because there's so much directions they can go in. Jayci Lee really told a story of a new fresh exciting love. Of course there's always the initial feeling of opposition but once that passed the passion was lit. Definitely worth the read! A page turner for sure!

Just a Few Fake Kisses by Jayci Lee, book three in the Hana Trio series, , a schoolgirl crush turns into an intense and heated romance. Musician Chloe is thrilled when violinist Anthony, her longtime crush, joins the Hana Trio while her sister is on maternity leave. When she agrees to be his fake girlfriend to save his reputation, he's determined that nothing physical will happen between them. Chloe doesn't care if romance is off the table; she's not going to give up the chance to fulfill her fantasies. As these spend time together, between rehearsal and dates, things begin to heat up to being more than friends. Before things get serious, they both have issues to overcome; especially Anthony, who is struggling with guilt over the death of his wife. This unfortunately affects his feelings about relationships and his treatment of Chloe, who has already fallen for him. As foolish decisions are made and hearts broken, forgiveness will certainly be the soothing balm of reconciliation reconnects them.

The second book, The True Love Experiment, is by Anne Marsh, an opposites attract/friends to lovers story with a fake dating/second chance featuring a brainiac and a romantic at heart. Wren is tired of having her ex-boyfriends find true love immediately after their relationship ends. Not only that, she needs to find a date for the wedding of her latest ex, who’s marrying her cousin, where her meddling family will also be in attendance. Eight years ago, when Nash was the teaching assistant for her college chemistry class, Wren asked him out. He turned her down, but he became her tutor, which grew into a bi-monthly taco Tuesday lunch meeting, and a strong friendship. Wren and Nash have “friend-zoned” themselves and don’t dare risk losing their friendship by acting on their attraction. They are the epitome of the grumpy sunshine trope. Wren’s love for characters like Mr. Darcy hint at Nash being the perfect match as do the scenes of them together, with sizzling chemistry. Nash’s need for his own fake date as he promised his brother’s fiancé that he’d participate in her bachelor auction also hints at their connection. Neither Wren nor Nash are ready when their feelings explode the confines of that neat box they were in, demonstrating how perfect they are for each out. This story is an adorable romantic comedy.
I highly recommend Just a Few Fake Kisses and The True Love Experiment to other readers.

He's punishing everyone since his wife died...

I had a hard time liking Anthony. He's a mess, who hooks up indiscrimately, and that bothered me a lot. If he's punishing himself for his guilt over his wife's death, constantly getting in trouble for his random and public hook ups is not a grieving widower. Chloe totally deserves someone better. She's ten years younger and has her S way more together than Anthony, who is ten years older. He's temporarily joining their trio. They also are online gamers. Yes, its a lot of tropes and I really liked Chloe. Just thought she deserves better.

If you enjoy spicy romance, you won't want to miss this. Anthony has major issues to work out surrounding the death of his wife, and unfortunately he lets that get in the way of his relationship with Chloe. I love how sweet Chloe is, but also how determined she is to take what she wants.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley all opinions are my own.
Review is just for Just a Few Fake Kisses.
This was a solid read and great closer for the Hana Trio. I liked the stakes here, and the chemistry was great for the most part. I did find the third act with the hero overreacting and making everything about him and his pain, as if no one else had issues of their own, was kinda sucky. However, I understood him to an extent, and the resolution felt believable and satisfying.

The True Love Experiment by Anne Marsh - 3 stars || Solid story but the pacing could use some work.

Note: This review is only for Just a Few Fake Kisses by Jayci Lee.

Just a Few Fake Kisses was an adorable fake dating romance and conclusion to the Hana Trio! I have enjoyed every single book in this trilogy, but I think this concluding novel is definitely one of my top favorites. I've loved watching the differences in the three Han sisters--Angie being the more reserved, logical one; Megan being the sunshine-y ball of energy; and Chloe being the hardworking, caring youngest sister determined to prove her capability. The chemistry between Chloe and Anthony was definitely palpable from their first interaction, and I enjoyed watching them try to fight their growing feelings for each other. The additional forced proximity, age-gap, and hidden identities trope were also seamlessly added into their romance as well. I look forward to reading Jayci Lee's upcoming works!

This one was...eh...just OK until the last quarter or so, when the hero lost his freaking mind and decided to make everyone else's pain (first his wife's death, and then Chloe's being in love with him) all about him. And why on earth did he think one final bang and then a breakup WHEN THEY STILL HAD ONE MORE CONCERT TO PERFORM was a good idea???

From that point on I just couldn't even. I suppose if you've read the first two books in the trio you'll *need* to read Chloe's, but if you're starting the series here just save yourself the frustration and maybe don't?

I enjoyed the first 2 novels in the Han Trio series and was really looking forward to the last one! It did not disappoint! Fake relationship to discovering real feeling between the 2 main characters. Enjoyable quick read!

Received this ARC via NetGalley…

This was a fun, quick read. I really liked Chloe and Anthony together. I wish I knew anything about classical music so I could appreciate some of the details a little more.

I read the first 2 books of this series also. The end of this book had an epilogue for Chloe and Anthony but I was also hoping for an epilogue for all 3 couples.

Quick Summary: A fake it until you make it forever romance duo

My Review: From Harlequin Desire, this book presents two new novels - Just a Few Fake Kisses... and The True Love Experiment.

Book 1 - >

Title: Just a Few Fake Kisses...
Author: Jayci Lee

Just a Few Fake Kisses is the third and final book in the Hana Trio series. It features the story of the youngest Han sister, Chloe.

About the Book: When Chloe's sister prepares to go on maternity leave, a plan is set in motion to secure a temporary replacement. When Chloe's longtime crush steps up as a fill in, it is all she can do to keep her crazy hormones from jumping into overdrive. Anthony Larsen is everything she wants but cannot have. When he is put in a rather compromising position, she does the only thing she can do...she presents herself as his girlfriend. What happens when her heart gets involved with a man who vows never to commit to all she wants?

My Final Say: As usual, Ms. Lee has outdone herself. This installment deserves robust applause. Every element that makes a story captivating is contained in this book. The tender feelings of someone first exploring love, the revealing vulnerability of a heart that is unsure and yet sure at the same time, the passionate intensity when two hearts are surrendered to one another, the beautiful discovery of hot chemistry beyond mere coupling, the startling recognition of foolish decisions made, the very necessary inevitability of forgiveness, the soothing balm of reconciliation - all of that was written on the pages of this romance. I absolutely loved it! I also genuinely adored the Han family bond. The way they all cared for each other has been consistent in each book I have read. That fierce protectiveness was appreciated.

Title: The True Love Experiment
Author: Anne Marsh

The True Love Experiment is the first book I have read from this author. It features a brainiac and a pro-ro (romantic at heart) who decide to alter their realities with some fake relations.

About the Book: When Wren Wilson enters a relationship, she throws her all into finding her HEA. Unfortunately, her partners seem to be trained and prepped for whoever comes next. When she suddenly finds herself in a peculiar predicament, she enlists the help of her once upon a time crush turned taco partner/friend, the straight-laced, no nonsense, anti-romantic, Chemist Nash Masterson. What happens when the two exchange favors to help each other out?

My Final Say: This book was terribly humorous. I adored both leads. When stuffy meets huffy puffy, you get Nash and Wren. Although I found some of the antics of the family members to be ridiculous, all in all, this story was really likable. It was an opposites attract/friends to lovers story just as much as it was a fake dating/second chance story. I think readers will be won over by this couple.
