This book falls in the guidelines of women’s fiction. I’ve really had a hard time with these last few books by Danielle Steel. It seems like the hard hitting emotion that she’s known for is just gone.
After two failed engagements, herself, Faith loves planning weddings, but has no intentions of ever getting married and trying again. Her twin sister Hope, has 3 kids and one more the way. Their lives are very different from each other. As you work your way through the book, you learn about the couples she’s planning weddings for and pick up new friends along the way. Babies are born, new families are created but that doesn’t seem to be Faith’s path until a grooms brother peaks her interest.
The Wedding Planner is a heartwarming story about Faith, a premier wedding planner who doesn’t believe in marriage. She loves creating magical days for other people but has given up on ever finding her person.
This is an emotional story that focuses on family and new friends that are made along the way.
Faith Ferguson was a successful wedding planner in New York who found fulfillment in her work and close relationships with her twin sister and assistant. In this novel by Danielle Steel, Faith took on new clients with various wedding sizes and styles, including her mother’s next marriage and a modest ceremony for her assistant. Faith formed bonds with her clients and their loved ones, including the handsome brother of one of her grooms. However, she soon found herself dealing with private quarrels, unplanned pregnancies, family scandals, dark secrets, and the possibility of cancelled ceremonies.
As an avid reader, I was stoked when the publisher provided me a copy of the latest novel of the bestselling author, Danielle Steel. She is a prolific author known for her emotional and engaging stories so I had high hopes in “The Wedding Planner”.
This book had a promising premise, but unfortunately, I found myself struggling to stay engaged with the story and frequently putting the book down. The slow pacing of this book made it difficult for me to get through it. There were a couple of emotional scenes that tugged at my heartstrings, but most of the time, I was struggling to stay focused in the story.
It was no doubt that Faith was an incredible character. She was independent, focused, and hardworking. She was an epitome of a modern intelligent woman. However, I found it difficult to connect with her. There was something missing in the story which I cannot quite put my hands on it but it was almost like observing her life from a distance rather than being fully immersed in her experiences. As a result, I found it hard to care about what happened to her in the story.
Despite these, I do appreciate Steel’s writing style and the way she can create a vivid imagery with her words. Her descriptions of settings and emotions were captivating even if I did not fully enjoy the book as a whole.
Overall, while this book was not for me, I will be trying another work of Danielle Steel. Maybe, I would get on board and enjoy another book written by her.
(Review will be posted in Instagram, Goodreads, and Wordpress.)
Another great Steel novel! The main character is a wedding planner who is one of the most sought after planners in the business. While she gives couples their dream weddings, she doesn’t believe in happily ever after. She is fine on her own. But, in true Steel fashion, our story unfolds in a way that proves that love is not always predictable.
The characters in this book were so lovely and colorful, from the outrageous parents of one of the brides to the delightful male couple who get married and adopt two babies. You always get invested in Steel’s characters and this book provided a delightful set of characters and a main character who comes a long way from the start.

The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel is the next level in forming friendships and creating dreams.
Memories are made. Planning is on the books. However, their are lives that're about to be changed forever.
One thing leads to another and Pandora's box becomes open.
Everyone has something someone else may not be aware of but in this case some of the brides and or grooms are hiding a treasure trove of information that may just be harmful and or toxic.
There's a little bit of everything within these lively characters that creates an atmosphere of excitement regardless from which direction in life you come from and what your ideas of normalcy have become.
Whether you accept or reject isn't the issue it's more about empathy, compassion, love, and endurance.
I enjoyed reading about the varied couples and their relationships. One particular one with Phoebe and Doug was the most relatable in regards to the hindset it took to realize the warning signs while gaslighting played on till the very end.
It's one thing to think you married for love it's another thing to find out it was only for control and gains.
Danielle Steel made sure nobody was immune to the lighting strikes and even the parents had their share of shock value. Affairs, marriages, divorces, it's all on the line.
The nice ending that wrapped up the lives of each of the couples was a great touch to let readers know exactly how they weathered the storms in each of their lives.
A truly great piece by the wonderful Danielle Steel.
Thank you to Danielle, the publisher Random House, Netgalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest revew.
I absolutely loved this book! I got right into this book and throughly enjoyed it! It had romance, it had suspense, romance in it, but one of my favorites! I highly recommend this book to everyone!
Danielle Steel, the master of romantic fiction tells the story of a wedding planner, a young woman approaching middle age who has no use for a wedding or permanent relationship for herself. She finds herself the owner and chief consultant of a business that plans wedding events for others and it is lucrative and fun. Ironically, as time passes in the novel many of her friends take the plunge and she also develops relationships with customers and start families. It is a bit of change for a young woman who has planned one of the most important events of their lives. The novel is full of descriptive prose about fancy weddings, rich indulgence, and of course, the main character who is unattached herself but eventually finds her perfect love in this story. It is also full of having babies, something she claims to want nothing to do with. The book is typical of Steel's romance books. It is a good romantic escape and one that lovers of her writing style will enjoy. Thanks to #NetGalley#TheWeddingPlanner for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This was a quick and easy read. Faith is a wedding planner that has had two failed engagements. She loves planning other people’s weddings but has no desire for one of her own. There was a lot about weddings and a bit about her family. Overall I enjoyed it.
The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel narration of a trying season in wedding planning, led by Faith Ferguson, who is at the height of her prestige in New York City. Anybody who is anyone wants a wedding planned by her. and sometimes to the tune of a lot of money. She loves her job, but has no desire to be a bride herself. Faith surrounds herself with family and friends, and builds her life around making others dreams come true. I enjoyed the descriptions of the extravagant weddings to those on a smaller scale but just as beautiful. I also loved the diversity of the different couples. She has a competent assistant, Violet, who works by her side; a family: sister, Hope, her three boys, and husband, Angus; her mother, Marianne, who has been married three times; and her father, who lives in Europe with his wife and whom she sees irregularly. She had been engaged twice, but never married, and never planned to marry. But weddings are not always all champagne and roses, and in no time, Faith is grappling with private quarrels, unplanned pregnancies, family scandals, dark secrets, and the possibility of cancelled ceremonies. Through her own journey, Faith will prove once and for all that there is not just one path to happily ever after.
I really struggled with this book and did not finish at 50%. The writing felt like watered down prose of Danielle Steel of the past--and some of the themes were incredibly repetitive:
- Faith is a twin and feels whole when talking to her sister, Hope
- Faith is a bubbly but jaded woman who is perpetually single (and fine with it! The more time she says it, the less we believe her!)
- Faith is very classy and her weddings are, as well
The first 1/3 of the book was essentially those three themes repeated in various chapters and interactions. This book lacked the character development and hard-hitting emotions I've come to expect in other Danielle Steel works.
I've loved Danielle Steel for a very long time. My mother was the one who used to read her before me. She passes away in 2020 from Stage IV Lung Cancer. I was so happy when I saw her books on Netgalley. I read them in her honor and because I love her as an author. Sorry about the sappy start.
Faith has has 2 attempts at marriage in her time frame already. She didn't go through with either one. She is an AMAZING wedding planner and takes on 3 different weddings for the timeline of the book. She usually caters to the higher priced weddings. All different and including her own helper in her business as well for a low budget wedding. She does in fact get some romance herself from one of her couples that she is planning - Morgan and Alex - Morgan's Brother Edward
Faith does struggle with some of the wedding prep remembering her own attempts and failures. But she doesn't let that bring her down.

Faith Ferguson is a popular wedding planner in New York. Her weddings range from huge events costing upwards of a million dollars to much smaller ones. But all of them are spectacular. She has suppliers she can count on and has a great imagination that satisfies what each bride and their families want for the special day.
Faith is in her early 40s and has never been married. Two failed engagements but an end to her wanting to marry. She also has no desire to have children. Her twin sister, Hope, is happily married and mother to three sons.
As we see Faith take on planning weddings for people, we meet some of the most incredible characters and how she has to help them through their doubts and even family squabbles. But she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Faith has a great assistant, Violet, who has become her right-hand person and together they check and double-check each and every detail up to the special day.
I loved the people for whom she made the perfect wedding happen. The characters are all very interesting and the reader becomes a part of their lives as they prepare for their wedding. We also see her family and the dynamics that occur there. This is one of my favorite books by this amazing author. I loved every minute of reading it. So many great stories here and all heart-warming. Don’t miss this book. It’s wonderful!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Wedding Planner. The different situations presented in the book were senerios that can happen to the average person, therefore the storyline was very relevant and relatable. An enjoyable read!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this book.
Faith is a prestigious wedding planner in NYC. She does glamorous expensive weddings. She has a twin sister named Hope. Most of all, she's happy to be a wedding planner but doesn't want to wed as she's been burned too many times.
This book is fine. Not much really happens. About midway through it shifts from talking mostly about weddings and Faith's inability to commit to anyone to a bunch of people having babies. It becomes all about these pregnancies. Of course, she's finally able to commit to and becomes smitten with the brother of one of her clients.
Another Heartwarming story from Danielle, this one didn't have the main protagonist as the damsel in distress but rather she was a strong, independent woman. Faith is a typical wedding planner but goes above and beyond to help and befriend her clients.
Thank you to Netgalley, Random House Ballantine, Delacorte Press and the Author Danielle Steel for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Danielle Steel's latest book is The Wedding Planner and it focuses on Faith who plans weddings for the privileged in NYC. If you like Danielle Steel you will enjoy this story of Faith and the various clients, friends, and family who are in her orbit. With Steel you know everyone is incorrigibly privileged and this story is no different. One interesting concept is that a million dollar wedding can be planned in 6-8 months by a staff of two but hey it's her world.
This was a quick read and a nice break from some weightier books. Steel's fans will enjoy this foray into high-end weddings.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
I am a big Danielle Steel fan and she does it again! With Summer coming soon and the wedding season approaching, this is such an interesting subject and such a heartwarming book. It also goes into details about all the things that can and do happen when planning a wedding! A quick read, because I couldn't put it down.
As a long time fan of Danielle Steel’s books this is a sure winner. I appreciate how the background of the characters are explained before the story becomes too involved. That engages you as the plot develops, and you become part of their stories. This book encompassed so much of real life today and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I had hoped for the wedding of Faith and Edward but enjoyed seeing how everyone’s life was completed as the story ended. Great book!
I always love happily ever after stories, and this is a good one! There's a lot of drama in Faith's live since she is a wedding planner, and a great one at that. Faith doesn't feel marriage is in the cards for herself, especially when she has 2 failed engagements in her past, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know what to do for everyone else's wedding to make it perfect for them. Doesn't matter if it's a small backyard wedding or a million dollar wedding. Absolutely heartwarming story that is perfect for this time of year - it's wedding season!
