Classic Danielle Steel - a masterful storyteller who always manages to make you feel for the characters and pulls you right into the story. This book breezed along without some of the usual intensity of previous Steel's books (although there were a few intense moments) but I found it charming and full of warmth. I love stories about weddings and wedding planners and this one had some over-the-top weddings for sure. Steel's ability to weave the character's stories throughout the book made it an enjoyable read, although not my favorite Steel book. I can't wait to read the next book by her and look forward to many more! I appreciate the publisher, author, and NetGalley for an ARC - all comments are my own.

Fun and in demand!
In a make you feel good book written by the one and only romance author everyone loves to read we get the story of wedding planner Faith Ferguson. So let’s just say a wedding planner is so much more than that. What a fun read and the chaos page after page was so good.
Authors Blurb: Faith Ferguson is New York’s most in-demand wedding planner, an arbiter of taste for elegant affairs, lavish ceremonies, and exclusive fêtes. She appreciates a simple celebration as much as a dazzling event, for she knows that a dream wedding is not necessarily the most expensive one.
As much as Faith enjoys her work, her two failed engagements leave her with no desire to get married herself. She finds fulfillment in her close relationship with her twin sister, Hope, her role as a mentor for her assistant, Violet, and her career.
This year, new clients have flocked to her, and she signs up an extravagant reception, a mid-sized gathering, and an intimate soirée, in addition to her mother’s next marriage and Violet’s modest ceremony. Faith finds herself forming bonds with her new clients and their loved ones—most notably the handsome brother of one of her grooms.
But weddings are not always all champagne and roses, and in no time, Faith is grappling with private quarrels, unplanned pregnancies, family scandals, dark secrets, and the possibility of cancelled ceremonies. Through her own journey, Faith will prove once and for all that there is not just one path to happily ever after.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
Danielle Steel has always been a go to author for me. Her books feel like coming home.
However, in the past few years some of her stories have been hit or miss for me. I enjoyed The Wedding Planner, but I didn't love it.
I found this book not to have the hard hitting emotional impact that other Danielle Steel's books have. I still look forward to reading more from this author!
The Wedding Planner follows the life of one of New York's most sought after wedding planners. Faith Ferguson has the ability to take in the bride's ideas of a dream wedding encorporate the wishes of her parents and turn the dreams into a reality. Faith loves her career but wants no part in having a wedding of her own. Faith's year begins with planning 3 large weddings with major obstacles. The Wedding Planner takes the reader on the wild ride of planning a major event and the backside of what could go wrong or the weddings that should never happen.
Danielle Steel paints a scene so well that the reader can picture themself as a guest at the wedding. Her attention to detail leaves nothing out and her ability to build a character leaves the reader feeling like each bride or in one case groom are part of the family by the end of the story.
Thank you NetGalley, Random House Ballentine and Danielle Steel for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I loved this book! Not only was Faith the Premiere Wedding Planner, she's also an unrecognized therapist! Drawing from personal experience, Faith is a ray of light for a plethora of the supporting characters. I will definitely be recommending to all.
Thank you Danielle Steel, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.
This is a Women's Fiction. I found this book not to have the hard hitting emotional impact that other Danielle Steel's books have and that is what I want and really enjoy about her books. I liked this book, but I did not love it. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Delacorte Press) or author (Danielle Steel) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
I haven’t read a Danelle Steel novel in quite sometime but the title of this book intrigued me. I love reading about weddings since I’m an organist. The story is about Faith, a very sought after wedding planner and three couples whose weddings she is planning; a rich girl whose family wants the wedding of the year, a same sex couple, and a woman who is engaged to a very controlling man. Faith’s family including her twin sister and mother are also integral characters in the story. Most of the characters were likable but really no depth to them. I felt the language was repetitive at times. There are some triggers in the story; domestic abuse, and traumatic birth.
Thank you to Delacorte Press and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
My first book by Danielle Steel and it blew me away! I will be a fan for life now. The words on the pages come to life in your mind. It’s so easy to follow this loveable story.
I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I did not finish as I felt it was not only repetitive but too much going on with so many characters.
Faith is a much sought after wedding planner. The Wedding Planner follows a few different couples who Faith has taken on as clients.
She plans all kinds of weddings from the smallest intimate wedding to the million dollar wedding. She somehow manages all the different personalities and expectations all the while reigning in clients who want the over the top type wedding. All her weddings are planned with taste and tact.
You would expect a wedding planner to be eager to get married herself. Not the case with Faith. After two failed engagements she is happy to stay single.
An easy read with great characters. Faith has an easy confidence without being pretentious.
Many thanks to netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine, Delacorte Press for the arc.
The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel is a third person narration of a trying season in wedding planning, led by Faith Ferguson, who is at the height of her prestige in New York City. Anybody who is anyone wants a wedding planned by her. Sometimes to the tune of $1 million or more. She has a truly competent assistant, Violet, who works by her side; a family: sister, Hope, her three boys, and husband, Angus; her mother, Marianne, who has been married three times; and her father, who lives in Europe with his wife and whom she sees irregularly. She had been engaged twice, but never married, and never planned to marry. Right now she is planning weddings for two gay men who are both professionals and both have excellent taste; a wealthy client who wants to show off his daughter’s wedding and his wealth to all his “friends” and clients; and controlling plastic surgeon who his marrying his surgical nurse. This last wedding causes Faith the most concern and she sees much potential for the bride to be at least, miserable, and at most, abused, in the future.
As she often does, Steel tells this story in the third person, with very little actual dialogue. She uses the technique very effectively and it works for this story. Each wedding has a personality, and despite her best efforts, Faith likes some of her clients more than others. They have have distinct personalities and even using third person, Steel is able to imbue each of them with enough to distinguish them from one another. Steel always writes a book with a happy ending, that is a plus, but it doesn’t mean a happy ending for each person in the book. Her writing style is clear and concise and entertaining. I always enjoy what she has written and this is no exception.
I was invited to read a free e-ARC of The Wedding Planner by Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #RandomHousePublishingGroupBallantine #DanielleSteel #TheWeddingPlanner
Another Danielle Steel book that it a must read. I love the way the Wedding Planner Faith loves her job and truly wants all her clients to have a fairy tale wedding and a day to remember. She then falls for one of the grooms brother and her fairy tale starts.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to receive an advanced copy.
This was a fun read from Danielle Steel. This story is about a wedding planner, Faith, and her clients and leading up to their big events and all the drama which goes along with it. Faith has never been married but has been engaged twice. Faith's mother is on her 4th marriage and her sister is happily married and has 4 kids. Faiths clients are all different and want to have different weddings from the very minimum to the million dollar weddings. It was fun to read about all the clients and their dramas. This was a very enjoyable quick read. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read the advance copy.
Thank you, Net Galley, for an ARC of The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel. Anyone who knows what I read knows that I love books written by Danielle Steel. They are like my comfort that's always sings to my soul. This one is phenomenal. This one I would recommend to anyone who wanted to introduce themselves to Danielle Steel's writing. This author never fails me.
While this book wasn't awful, I had a hard time connecting with the story. In The Wedding Planner, we follow multiple POVs, including Faith, a wedding planner, and some of her clients. Unfortunately, there was too much happening with nothing happening at the same time. If you're looking for a good book to read, I'd say there are much better stories by Danielle Steel you should pick up first.
Faith is a premiere wedding planner and enjoys planning all kinds of celebrations. Her life is fulfilled with her family and all of the many twists and turns provided with her job. While Faith is not looking for love, will love find her? This story is written as only Danielle Steel can and in her own unique way. Keep them coming please, Danielle.
I do not know how Danielle Steel continues to amaze me the way she does...another outstanding entry in the pantheon of DS titles. A lovely story of a wedding planner who is gun-shy about marriage herself after being burned twice by previous loves...a fast paced read with well rounded characters and stunning locations for weddings. As someone who also is a little gun-shy about marriage it surprised me how much I enjoyed this story...not that it changed my mind about weddings...ha! Fans of Danielle STeel will love this book just as much as any of the previous best-sellers!
Steel's signature charm always manages to sweep her reader up in a whirlwind of romance, family saga and the road to forever. I'm always quick to be engrossed into reading page after page as drama ensues and romance dazzles. I was more invested in Faith this go round than the clients we were getting detailed stories on, but the entertainment value of a Steel novel is always spot on.
I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a central character that has her hand in the daily lives of several other characters while living her own life in the background. There is drama, scandal and happily ever afters all around.
The Wedding Planner is another fun, easy to read, Danielle Steel novel. The title captures the story quite nicely. As always, Steel populates her novels with strong women, who are survivors. Faith, a stellar wedding planner, is able to create magic for the brides and parents, who seek out her services. Her imagination seems to have no bounds. The weddings that Faith creates fulfill the dreams that any bride might envision. In fact, most of the weddings described are beyond anything I might have imagined.
Steel inserts a bit of tension quite nicely in The Wedding Planner. There are brides of all sorts, including a bride who marries the kind of groom, who will serve as either a warning to brides reading this novel, or as a means to escape a husband, who breaks a woman's heart. The characters and details are rich and complex. These are sthe kinds of women that readers wish they knew.
I enjoyed this novel. It is typical Steel, with romance and the kind of women her readers want to know and be. Thank you to Steel and to her publisher, Random House, for providing this ARC to read and review. For Steel readers, The Wedding Planner will be a special treat. Thank you also for listing the The Wedding Planner and making it so easy to access.
"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own." Thank you Netgalley.
