This book was a slow burner for me and at times I felt I knew the ending but when the plot started to unravel it had me hooked and its ending was totally unexpected.

It is set in Corfu where Alice has escaped to leave her fertility problems and unhappy marriage behind her. Alice is intrigued by the al, woman who have gone missing on the island and she makes it her mission to find out more about them. She is befriended by Susie a glamorous wedding planner and finds love with Nik a wealthy vineyard owner. Her only concerns are one of Susie’s friends who seems to dislike her and Nics’s cousin who is creepy to say the least. She also misses her sister who has been her closest friend since they lost their parents.

Alice seems to find happiness and as she and Nic plan to marry , red flags star to appear and Alice begins to wonder if danger is around the corner and is Nic is the person she thought he was.

I enjoyed how the story moved from past to present each time adding a new dimension to the storyline . This book gripped me and it had me questioning each of the characters until the final twist was revealed. One to enjoy if you like twisty thrillers

First of all I want to say thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a digital copy of this book. - Out on May 17th -

⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is the first book I've read from this author, I enjoyed the writhing and this story

In this book we follow Alice through a difficult time in her life, she recently divorced Dan. After a year she sees him again, totally unexpected that takes her back through her life with him. She is very lost in the beginning but later on she finds other things to focus on. She meets Nik, they spent a lot of time together but do they really know each other? Is she really safe?

This book was a bit slow at times but I didn't really mind that to much because even though this is a thriller, Alice learnt a lot of important things and there were beautiful learning and deeper conversation in this book. Did they mean everything they said?

I definitely want to read more by this author!

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I have read other books by this author which I absolutely loved but this one was just okay for me. It was really hard getting through the first half as the main character, Alice, was so obsessed with all these missing women. The last part picked up and there are some twists but I felt like some things were just too far fetched.

I have loved all of this author’s work so I was very excited to begin this one. Unfortunately I struggled with the storyline so really couldn’t get into it. I would definitely say it’s me and not the book though this time

Excellent psychological thriller! After a devastating divorce and issues with infertility, Alice leaves the UK for the sunny skies of Greece. Once there she meets a new best friend and a man she hopes will be a life partner. She left the UK because she was under suspicion for a crime against her ex-husband that she can’t remember if she committed and is following up on a vague vision she keeps having. Fast paced thriller with a twist that you will not expect.

Maybe I've read one to many thrillers but I did slowly work this out as the plot unfolded. I really enjoyed it's page turning writing and I REALLY disliked her friends in this. I did see the twist coming but didn't find this any less fun! Solid 4 stars from me for a good domestic thriller with a healthy dose of sunshine added.

This book was a fast paced thriller with so many layers it took me a second to catch up! There were so many times I thought I knew where the book was going and then another twist would happen! This will def leave you guessing and intrigued the entire way through. I did struggle sometimes with how unrealistic some of the plot was, however once I just went with the flow of the book I really enjoyed how unpredictable it was! The writing was a bit too "casual" at times with slang words or modern terms used, but it was still a very enjoyable read!

Sue Watson is a firm favourite of mine for psychological thrillers and this book certainly lives up to the genre, with unexpected twists throughout.

Alice finds herself in Corfu, escaping a turbulent time in the UK with her ex-husband. As she settles into the idyllic island's life, she is occupied by the tales of missing women on the island who have never been found. She is befriended by Suzie, a glamorous wedding planner and falls in love with Nik, a kind hearted and modest vineyard owner. Despite his wealth and advantages, he is a kind and considerate man and before long Alice is employing the help of friend Suzie to plan a wedding to this unassuming man. But as they say 'I Do', Alice realises Nik may not be all as he seems. Perhaps island life isn't idylic; perhaps it could be deadly.

This story has so many layers of narratives and until halfway I couldn't understand how it might all come together. Despite this, Watson is able to unravel the mysteries to the reader cleverly and masterfully for an ending that will shock and leaving you guessing.

Thank you to Bookouture, Netgalley and Sue Watson for the opportunity read and review this book prior to publication.

Alice is a divorcée in her 40's, not enjoying work, apparently infertile and upset to meet her ex husband ,Dan, with his pregnant girlfriend.

So far, so good except for her strange behaviour (PTSD?) and is accused of hurting this girl in a supermarket when buying 2 bottles of Merlot. After the quickest ever recovery from a damaged ankle, an interview with the police, she is able to get time off work to go to Corfu - as you do?

Of course, she meets and ends up with a local winery owner. There are some mysterious happenings and Alice turns into some sort of detective.. This was too much for me. I kept going to a rather good ending, but this book was not in the class of Ms Watson's other books.

Thanks to Net Galley and Bookouture for the chance to read and review.

First, I would like to thank Bookouture and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC. To Ms. Sue Watson, Congratulations for another wonderfully crafted story. And thank you as well for the ARC.

The story is fast paced and full of thrillers and surprises. A really unputdownable twisty with a lot of lessons to impart. At first I was wondering why Heather and Alice are into detective thing then I got the answers during the last few chapters which I adored plus those thriller surprises that fans of this genre really look for.

Devour this novel which will surely left you stunned and ask for more from Ms. Watson.

Wow! My head is still trying to come to terms with all that happened in this novel. There was so many moments where I thought I had it figured out and then was left with my jaw on the floor. I will say there were some slow parts however it was the type of story that you needed those parts for the others to make better sense. At the end it all came together and I will definitely be recommending this book to friends and checking out The Sister-In-Law.

I'm really not sure how to feel about this book. I enjoyed a lot of the themes and the scenery, but had a hard time with how unrealistic and casual the writing was.

One thing I really enjoyed about this book was the way it was broken up into a sort of "before and after" feel, without titling anything before and after! I liked waiting to find out what The Wedding Day was until right at halfway through the book.

There were a few big surprises that I did not see coming, which I LOVED! On the other hand, some of the bigger reveals seemed too obvious from the beginning of the book and I was hoping this was a diversion for a different reveal. There was also some modern language and themes that I often feel are hard to read in books. Some of these things included vaping, using the word "sis" instead of "sister", FaceTime, Starbucks orders, etc.

Overall, this book was an enjoyable read for what it was! Once I got over some of the unrealistic themes and modern language, it was a fun and easy read.

Another fantastic psychological thriller from Sue Watson!

Alice, flees to Greece having assaulted her ex-husband in a supermarket after discovering he and is new partner are pregnant. This is a crushing blow to Alice, given that she was unable to have a child with him herself.

When in Greece she decides to settle after forging a close friendship with a woman, Sylvia who takes Alice under her wing. Her future is really cemented there when she starts a whirl-wind romance with handsome vineyard owner Nik. There are only a few flies in the ointment that is Alice's happiness however - one of Sylvia's employees is outright hostile to Alice. Nik shares a home with his cousin, a man who Alice finds extremely creepy. In addition to this, Alice is in constant contact with her sister, who, being back home, advises Alice that the police are keen to prosecute her in relation to the assault on her ex. This sets the scene for an epic tale!

This is such a gripping story - totally unpredictable and utterly impossible to put down, Loved every second!

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

I’ve read a few from this author but I can’t say this is my favourite. It was a little bit slow and the storyline was a bit predictable until the big twist that I wasn’t expecting. So all in all it turned out to be quite good in the end . I would recommend this book to my audience .

This was a good read but sadly for me not as good as Sue's other books which I am a huge fan of. The Sister in Law is one of my all time favourites. I just found this one a little dragged out and very repetitive. It did gather momentum towards the end but did not grip me like Sue's others books.

This was a great psychological thriller. At one point, I got a little bored and hoped the book would move a little faster. But ... there were so many surprises and twists that it made for a fun book to read.

Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own

Alice is struggling to cope with her divorce and infertility and finds herself caught up in an altercation with her ex husband and his new partner.

The story follows Alice to Corfu, where she tries to distract herself from her problems at home, but we soon learn things might not be as great as they seem there either with mystery surrounding a string of missing women.

This was a fantastic page turner that kept me questioning all of the characters until the very end. There was more than one great twist - but one in particular I did not see coming despite my guessing!

I’m in the minority here but I wasn’t a big fan of this one. Firstly, the title has nothing to do with the plot, the wedding day was a very small part of the story. Secondly, too many times I said to myself “no way would that have happened” so very unbelievable for me and was the main character that gullible? But saying that I can see it being a pure escapism book to read on the beach with a cocktail this summer. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the advance review copy.

3.75 stars

I loved the setting and the twists along with the train wreck of the MC Alice’s life. It was very frustrating how oblivious she was to everything and some of the twists were fairly obvious, but it was still a great story and I had a hard time putting it down.

I will definitely be reading more of Sue Watson’s books.

Thanks NetGalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

I know when I open a Sue Watson book I am in for a good read and as per usual she didn’t disappoint. With a handsome groom and a blushing bride and a ton of secrets this book keeps you on your toes.
