For their parents 30th Wedding Anniversary, daughters Zara and Millie are in the midst of planning a surprise for them. But, their mother is thinking about whether she still wants to remain married to her husband.
Zara and Millie make contact with the son of their parents old friends and invite them along too. When they all meet, there’s secrets that come out as well as the start of new romances.
I really enjoyed reading this book, the characters were relatable, the story was about love, friendship, and realising when to make changes in your life.
I recommend this book.
This book was so much fun! Sisters Zara and Minnie surprise their parents with a trip to Vegas to renew vows for their 30th wedding anniversary. Little do they know the surprise is on them.
This was another good story by Shari Low. It kept me turning pages to find out what secrets of the past would be revealed next. It was more of an ensemble read, rather than focusing on the romance of a single pair. It will have you chuckling and shedding tears as the characters each find their HEA.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this complimentary ARC. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was my second Shari Low book and I really enjoyed it.
Zara and Millie are planning a surprise 30th wedding anniversary trip for their parents. However, their Mum is questioning if she still wants to be in the marriage. The old friends they invite along stir up some memories and secrets. And there might be a few revelations and new romances on the cards.
This was a lovely story which flowed really well and was such an easy enjoyable read. The characters were realistic and I liked quite a few of them. The story features family dynamics, love, friendship, and knowing when to let go of a life that no longer suits you.
This is one I would definitely recommend and I look forward to reading more books from this author. I’ve also read One Summer Sunrise which was another lovely well written story with great characters.
Absolutely adored everything about this book! The characters are all authentic and well developed, I particularly liked Millie. A brilliant story. I just wish I'd saved this book for my holidays!
Thanks so much Boldwood Books and NetGalley for an advance read in exchange for this review.
After 30 years of marriage, Brenda has decided to leave her husband. She's bored and wants more from life. This comes as her two daughters plan a surprise trip to Vegas for their parents so they can renew their vows. They also track down the other two people in a found Vegas photo. However, they don't know that those two people are the last their parents want to see. How will this surprise reunion go? What happened 30 years ago?
This was a cute story with a lot of surprises! This would be a great beach read.
Shari Low is a author who is on fire. This is another one of her 'One Moment' book that makes you want not want to put this book down.
Meet Brenda, a woman who has decided to leave her husband, shame though that her daughter is planning, well, a shotgun renewel ceremony in Las Vegas. But when this daughter takes it on herself to find two of her old friends, well, let's just say fireworks in Vegas. As the famous saying going, what happens in Vegas, certainly doesn't say in Vegas. Maybe sometimes leaving the past in the past is the best thing for everyone.
One of those people is Aiden, yep social media has a lot to answer for, when Zara used the tool to track him down. Opening the flood gates of the past is sometims not the thing to do but little does Zara and Aiden know that Pandora's Box is what they have opened.....
Will it be happy ever after, or wishing that they never played with fire...
This was so good!! I read this in one sitting. I had to know what happened at the end and couldn't wait to get there. This was a perfect book to read at the pool or the beach.
I just reviewed One Moment in Time by Shari Low. #OneMomentinTime #NetGalley

Another fab book from Shari Low! I only discovered this author last year and have really enjoyed every book so far :)
Sisters Millie and Zara are planning a surprise trip to Las Vegas for their parents to renew their wedding vows on their 30th anniversary. They are also searching for some friends that their Mum and Dad went to Vegas with all those years ago in the hope that they can reunite them on their special day.
However, all is not as as it seems... perhaps the famous saying "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" is true!
I really liked that Shari gives a brief mention of characters Bernadette and Tadgh from One Last Day of Summer.
I look forward to finding out more about the characters in her next novel, especially Zara and Millie!
A cute book that drew me in with its beautiful cover but kept me drawn in with its emotion and layered characters. Another winner from Shari Low.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review.
Zara found a picture of her parents and another couple that was taken in Las Vegas back when they first got married. It’s her and her sister’s mission to reunite the foursome in Vegas so their parents can renew their vows.
Like all good plans, something always happens.
Can they all find their happy ever after?!
It was another good book by this author!
Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for the early copy
As an avid reader of Shari Low's books, I was eager to dive into "One Moment in Time." However, I found myself disappointed by this particular novel. While Low's signature heartwarming style was present, the humour felt strained and inauthentic.
One of the main characters, Brenda, was not particularly likeable, making it difficult to fully invest in her story. Conversely, Eileen's actions made her an unlikely character to root for, yet her likability shone through nonetheless.
Despite these shortcomings, I enjoyed the budding romance between Zara and Aidan. However, their storyline felt rushed towards the end, leaving me feeling unsatisfied.
Overall, "One Moment in Time" was a decent read, but it lacked the magic that I've come to expect from Low's novels. While still heartwarming, the forced humour and unlikeable main character prevented me from thoroughly enjoying this book.
I love everything that Shari Low writes because her characters jump off the pages, into your heart, where they will stay forever. The storyline of “One Moment in Time” is very creative as Zara and Millie plan a surprise anniversary trip to Las Vegas for their parents, who were married there thirty years ago. Zara had found an old photo of her parents, and another couple, young and smiling, with the magical backdrop of Las Vegas behind them. Who was this mystery couple? Fortunately for the sisters, Zara’s social media sleuthing resulted in her locating the son of the other couple, Aiden, who lived in South Carolina. Zara and Millie had many fun conversations with Aiden and he eagerly agreed to convince his parents that a Las Vegas getaway was just what they needed. Who could have possibly known that an old photo would bring back memories for their parents that were better left hidden forever?
Zara, Millie and Aiden had their parents' best interests in mind as they all arrived in Las Vegas, and they thought that reuniting them would be a big surprise that would make them all happy. Unfortunately, as they gathered at the restaurant for lunch, you could hear a pin drop, as their parents glared at each other, without saying a word. At that point, Zara knew there was a lot of baggage behind the innocent photo she had found, and she wasn’t sure if any of them were ready for the truth. Maybe “what happens in Vegas” should have “stayed in Vegas”, but since they came all this way, Zara was hoping, as she looked around the table, that one of their parents would come clean with what happened all those years ago.
This is one of my favourite authors and I was so excited to read their next book. This was such an uplifting and poignant read
I was hooked from the first page and it took me on a journey of emotions one minute I was laughing out loud the next I was shedding a tear all while being transported on a journey to Las Vegas and the highs and lows of what should have been a perfect anniversary surprise but had lots of shocks and surprises in store.
Would love a sequel to see where he characters journeys take them next

Brenda and Colin are coming up for their 30th wedding anniversary and their two daughters are planning a recreation of their 1990’s Vegas wedding. But Zara and Millie have no idea about Brenda’s true feelings, and that she is not feeling positive about her marriage. Zara has tracked down the couple who were at their Vegas trip, and their son Aiden is planning to get them to come too. Unfortunately the children have no idea about the events of the past.

Shari Low is a master storyteller, able to tell a cracker of a story that manages to stir up your emotions and make you really think. I loved the twists this story takes, in the ways I wasn’t expecting at all. The interesting part of the story, is how parts of their parents’ personalities echo through their children, and keep the story moving. Recommend reading this one for yourself and keeping an open mind!
As a huge fan of the author Shari Low I was delighted to read this book and even more so to find that it was another absolute gem.
More well written, heartfelt and glorious characters who you feel you know by the end of the book.
Suppose you found a photograph of your parents at their Vegas Wedding 25 years ago, posing with another couple. As loving daughters you tracked down the friends and arranged for them to meet your parents back in Vegas for a surprise renewal of vows.
Suffice to say the whole idea is a complete nightmare and the laughter, tears and years of misunderstandings come to play at the eventual meeting.
Hugely enjoyable book and highly recommend.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Oh Shari Low, how I’ve missed you!!!!! This book was so great, it grabbed me from the very first page!!!! Zara and Millie who are sisters decide to plan a surprise trip back to Vegas for their parents 30th wedding anniversary. Boy are the shocked at the outcome! Parts of this book are laugh out loud funny and I loved it! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release. I can’t wait to read more of Shari’s books. She’s a real treat!
What a great Easter read, lighthearted, fun and with a really enjoyable storyline!
Loved the characters and hearing their back stories, which ended with happily ever after for them all! A definite holiday read too
Shari Low has done it again. She always manages to make you laugh out loud and take you on a fun journey with her stories. The last page always packs a punch. The characters were totally believable and had great relationships, one minute you are laughing and the next it all gets emotional. This had a real feel good factor and consumed in just one sitting. Absolutely loved this book. Will be highly recommending to others. If i could give this 6 stars then i would.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for allowing me an advanced copy to read in exchange for an open and honest review. As always, my reviews will also be posted on Amazon, Goodreads and Waterstones and interaction on Facebook and instagram where possible.
Oh, how I adore Shari Low's books! There is a particular magical aspect to every love story. They are better than Lifetime movies. I read these love stories and can see them in real life, not just in the makeup world of stories. Ultimately, I always want a separate follow-up story about a certain couple from this story; in this case, I want a follow-up novel about Aiden and Zara. Zara's unapologetic bluntness and Aiden's kind, level-headed heart make for a great couple. Some characters are not developed, such as Gary and Colin; however, it's not essential that their story developed as much. I am looking forward to Shari's next novel.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for letting me read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Another stunning book from Shari Low!
One of my go to authors, I'm always super excited when one of her books lands in my inbox. This is a wild adventurous ride of a book which takes the reader back and forth across the globe. I love how the past collides with the present moment. Shari's perfect mix of suspense and drama makes this book such a page turner. I read it within a day.
It was great that characters from her previous books (Bernadette & John, Noah Clark, Tadgh) were mentioned, with Bernadette being woven into this story in a minor capacity too.
SPOILER ALERT - I love the re-emergence of Eileen and Brenda's friendship after so many years apart and I loved that Gary was revealed to be the bad guy in the end, ultimately ending up on his own.
A heart-warming and life affirming read, its a reminder that life is short and needs to be lived as fully as possible.
Highly recommended and, as always, I'll be looking out for what Shari writes next.
