Yay back in Shari’s world is my favourite place to be! Full of laugh out loud funny moments and a few heart breaking tearful ones too!
Millie and Zara own a flower shop and plan a fabulous thirtieth anniversary celebration for their parents. They enlist Aiden, son of their parents former friends to help with the celebrations. When they get to vegas there’s all sorts of drama and hilarity!
I loved the trip to Vegas and of course the humour in this book! There’s so many fab characters in this book too!
I really hope there is another story to follow this one. I’d love to see where everyone ends up in the future!
Devoured this book in two days! There is not a book by Shari Low that I don’t love! This is the story of Millie and Zara who want to surprise their parents Colin and Brenda with a trip to Vegas…the place they got married. The girls find a picture of their parents with two other people in Vegas and manage to track them down and arrange for a surprise reunion. The surprise isn’t a welcome one for Brenda; and when the surprise guests join them, it isn’t well received at all. The girls learn the true story behind their parents marriage and nothing from that point forward goes as planned. This book is fabulous!
Shari Low really is one of the most reliable chick lit writers on the scene at the moment, relatable characters, real life stories, one for the beach this summer that’s for sure
This was a really warm read told from the viewpoints of Zara, her mum Brenda, Brenda’s former friend Eileen and Eileen’s son Aiden. Zara is planning a trip to Vegas with her sister and their parents to celebrate their 30 year wedding anniversary, as part of the surprise she arranges with Aiden for their former friends to be there however unbeknown to Zara her mum is thinking of ending her marriage. There’s a lot of confusion, complicated histories and drama but plenty of fun thrown in too making this a very relaxing and lighthearted read. 9/10
Shari Low's books are always a delight to read, they are like a warm, comforting blanket on a chilly day and One Moment in Time was a joy to read.
Brenda and Colin married in Vegas over 30 years ago and to celebrate their anniversary, daughters Zara and Millie are taking them back to renew their vows.
What the girls don't know is that Brenda wishes to end her marriage to stable, predictable Colin and as the story unfolds, we meet Aiden, his divorced parents, and Aiden's best friend Trevon.
Each character's side story interlinks and I loved how she mentions previous characters from other novels in One Moment in Time.
Fabulous read!
I was a bit out of my comfort zone with this book but overall I enjoyed it, funny and serious with good characters which did keep me involved in the storyline.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC which I can thoroughly recommend.
A really uplifting tale of what happened when 2 daughters decided to surprise their parents with a return visit to Las Vegas where they married 30 years previous, what could be a better treat than that?, well when you invite other people along to make it memorable you don’t expect the kind of memorable it turns out to be….very funny yet with heartfelt themes and side stories running alongside the main one anything and everything can (and does)happen 😎……loved being in Las Vegas and the descriptive scenic writing made it feel was there in the Bellagiio Hotel and at the LV sign……it really was a good look into how some people’s love changes over time and in fact the reasons that love exists for some couples, more complex than anyone in the book imagined
Rip roaring fun, seriously serious when needed and brilliantly written made this a great getaway to Vegas
