Bad Luck Vampire by Lynsay Sands is the 36th book of the Argeneau series. I have to say I am still loving this series, mostly because they have the same basic plot of a romance, but every one has a different twist to the romance and a solid mystery of some sort.

In Bad Luck Vampire, Sophie Ferguson has finally given in to the unceasing urging of one of her co-workers and accepts a blind date with the man Lise recommended, Carl. It turns out Carl is the sort of man who feels if he pays for the meal he's paid for the woman. Sophie figured this out early and tried to leave. Carl followed outside and grabbed her to enforce his will. Luckily for her, immortals Tybo and his partner were outside and scared off Carl and then saw her safely back to her home.

Tybo decided Sophie would be the perfect person to invite to Valerian's wedding as his date; he liked her, she was intelligent, witty, and fun to be with even if he could read her. Being the best man, Tybo knew he'd need someone to watch over Sophie while he did his wedding duties. Marguerite, of course, stepped in as she wanted to introduce Sophie to Alasdair MacKenzie. Naturally, that upset Tybo as she was his date. He knew this meant Marguerite intended to introduce her to her lifemate, Alasdair.

Seated nearby during the ceremony and at the same table for the dinner, Sophie and Alasdair were trying their best to act normal. Sophie because she didn't know what was happening to her and Alasdair because he did know.

A bit of danger, comedy, and confusion to start us off. Once Alasdair begins his quest to woo Sophie, he learns that the people in her life whom she loves seem to die in seemingly random accidents. She's lost a lot of people in her life and she's learned to guard her heart. He's determined; he's waited a long time to meet his match.

He meets some of her foster family and co-workers and finds some of them just strike him as slightly off in their behavior. Are they just concerned or is there something more? Then the accidents begin and it looks like her losses might not be random. He's determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.

There's enough tension, misdirection, and romance to keep the pages turning. It is amazing the variations that can be done on a basic theme. I just hope the books continue to surprise me.

I've been reading this series from the very start and have seen the changes that the series has gone through. Some of the changes are good ones, but some are not so good.. The latest books don't have the same sense of humor. I loved the secondary characters in this book where I was wanting more from the uncles and less about the main characters.

This is a series I will absolutely be going back and starting from the beginning. I have read a couple Lynsay Sands books over the years but she has absolutely been added to my must read list. The book was HOT. Her writing is always right on point and always crawling back for more!

I haven’t followed the series closely but have loved every book by this author that I’ve read. This installment shifts towards more intense themes, sometimes overshadowing the lightheartedness I enjoyed in earlier books, particularly with its somewhat excessive explicit content. However, it still excels with standout secondary characters and a mystery that completely blindsided me.

It was decent, just like her other vampire novels nothing special but always fun to read. Perfect beach read or easy spicy read

I've read all the books in this series from Lynsay Sands. Some I loved and some I didn't. This is a very good one with engaging characters, a caring male protagonist, wit, humor, mystery, intrigue and sizzling chemistry.

Sophie has the worst romantic luck or does she...and now Alisdair is in the picture. This was fun to read and a very sweet romance. The Scottish uncles were a hoot!

This is a well-written, entertaining, steamy paranormal romance. It has engaging characters, a caring male protagonist, wit, humor, mystery, intrigue, sizzling chemistry, supportive family, twists and turns, and a happily ever after ending. It is an excellent addition to the Argeneau series, and can easily be read and enjoyed as a stand alone. Ms. Sands' loyal readers will appreciate the appearance of characters from past novels.

I love Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series! It's still a great read even though it is number 36. The author continues to write great paranormal romances.

This was such an interesting world to fall into. It was my first in this series and I can not wait to check out the rest. While this was mainly couple driven, there was light world building, and an overarching mystery.

I do feel like it was missing something but I'm not sure what.

I am a huge Lynsay Sands fan and have read all of this series. This one does not disappoint. She had my attention with Alasdair, a Scottish vampire, and Sophie, a woman with a little bad luck in dating. Things get a little interesting when bad luck starts to follow Alasdair. Is it really bad luck or is someone out to keep Sophie for themselves?
This book had a great plot with an ending I didn’t see coming. Lynsay Sands does a great job in creating a world and characters that you become invested in. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I received Bad Luck Vampire in return for an honest review from the publisher via Netgalley.

Sophie hasn't had the best luck when it comes to dating but when set up on a blind date it takes the cake. She can't even get dinner ordered before she's rushing out the door with him hot on her heels. Thankfully her savior just happens to be in the parking lot saves the day and Sophie finds herself a date to a wedding with an attractive man. Little did she know she would meet a man with an electric connection at the wedding.

I love Sophie she's sweet and just adorable you can't help liking her and I really connected with her. I love the sizzling steamy connection between her and Alasdair even though he is an Argeneaus so of course he has to be swoon worthy. I also really enjoyed the side characters we got to know who are MacKenzie's the uncles are the best characters and I just loved them all.

I'm a huge fan of the Argeneaus series and have been reading them since they first came out. I may not be current and have skipped around a bunch over the years but they are always some of the best paranormal romance I've ever read. Bad Luck Vampire doesn't disappoint it's another lovely installment in the series. I love the way the author perfectly balances the story with the romance we have just enough mystery to keep me guessing till the very end.

I've loved all of the characters up to this point but I think Sophie may be my favorite but I feel like that after I read each one. She's just a great character and her story is just beautiful. The author has done a lovely job creating a captivating story that I ended up lost in till the very last page. One of my favorite series and I can't wait to see who is next on the list to find their happy ever after. I really did like the uncles so maybe one of them will be next.

WOW, I am so happy to have seen this book around bc I loved reading books by Lynsay Sands, but I'm sad to say that I forgot about them. I read my first book by her 18 years ago and was hooked from the first. It was actually from the Argeneau series; like this one. Life happened and I didn't read as much then I got back into reading and completely forgot, but I'm back and I read this book and loved it.

This book is part of the series and don't worry it will not affect reading this book, It is def a stand-alone. If you love romances where women fall in love with immortals/vampires/monsters then you will definitely love Bad Luck Vampire. It's a good book and has vampires (aka Immortals) in it.

Sophie goes out with Tybo and then has a big connection with another while at a wedding. Enter Alasdair who is drawn to her also. His family tries to help and get them together because they are Lifemates. They try to keep their family secret from Sophie but a lot of crazy things start to happen and looks like she is going to leave him (aka break up with him) so they tell her in a weird kinda way. It's a pretty funny part of the book. His family (the Uncles) are great and super funny, I loved their addition to the book. Made it so much more entertaining. There was a lot of talk about s**. Like a lot, probably more than there should have been but just a heads up if that bothers you. If not then read the book.
Alasdair and Sophie make such a sweet couple.

I was given the opportunity to read this book, thanks to the publisher and Net Galley. The above is my opinion/review. It is my own, honest and voluntary.

This is probably my favorite Argeneau story. Alasdair and Sophie meet at a wedding. Once they start dating, weird things begin to happen to Alasdair. Trying to keep he is an immortal from her, he explains the events as minor accidents. His family looks into her background as she has lost her parents, friends and fiancés and she thinks she is cursed. They eventually find out who, what and why. Alasdair’s uncles are hilarious.
