This was pretty much what I was expecting: a fun, predictable, Hallmark holiday movie esque, light angst romance. The Corgis were adorable and the plot was that comforting level of predictable coziness

For those looking for a clean romance, be warned that there are a few swear words and an open door love scene.

Sometimes you don't know what you are searching for, or you feel like there is something missing from your life until, you actually find it. That is what is happening here, and it does make for a fun, interesting read. It isn't instantly knowing, it is slowly seeing all that is there. Then you see yourself there, and want to become a part of the community, it grows on you, changes you, and you have to make the decision on what to do now.
I received an ARC from Avon through NetGalley.

This is small town at it’s best. I loved these people of Turtle Lake. They look out for each other and always have each other’s back. I would love to stay at Corgi Cove. Bonnie and Clyde are hilarious! I loved the story and the characters. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

CHRISTMAS AT CORGI COVE
by Annie England Noblin

A charming Christmas novel with two Corgi Bonnie and Clyde. When all else fails, you can always count on the animals to cheer you up.

Rosie Reynolds as a troubled teenager gets shipped off to live with her aunt and uncle in Corgi Cove. She has fit in well with running the bed and breakfast, helping out her aunt and uncle, and the Corgi.

However, the inn is failing financially, and a corporation wants to swoop in and purchase the family's livelihood. Everett St. Claire is dispatched from the corporation to negotiate the sale.

Rosie wants to save their home, so she takes extraordinary measures.

I liked this passage, "Not everyone wants to be buried with a 40 oz Bud Light."

Highly recommend it.

This is my first book from this author. It made me laugh, cry, rejoice in the strength of family and community, and revisit the emotions of young love. The adorable sweet and innocent Corgis on the cover will pull you in. The ornery Corgis you come to know, will have you in stitches and racing to the breeder to get one (or two) for yourself.

Rosie Reynolds, age 15, was sent to live with Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe at their B &B in lakeside Corgi Cove, Texas.

Leap forward twelve years and Rosie has made Corgi Cove her forever home. Living in a small quaint cottage on the bed and breakfast property, Rosie helps her aunt and uncle with the hotel. She also makes and sells her own honey products.

As a result of the opening of a new upscale resort across town, her family’s hotel was failing. It looked like they would need to sell the property or lose everything.

The company owning the resort across town, sent employee Everett to present an offer to purchase the property. Mary and Joe didn’t want to sell but saw no other options. To make matters worse, when Everett arrived at their home, Joe suffered a heart attack. Additionally, Rosie developed a love/hate relationship with Everett. Could anything good come of it?

Watching the days fly by, the deadline to sell the property was quickly approaching. Rosie looked under every stone for a way to save Corgi Cove.

When it appeared that all hope was lost, Rosie happened upon a contest for choosing the best B & B. The prize was a remodel of the hotel, free publicity for a year, and $100,000 cash. Rosie knew that the chances of winning were close to zero, but it was their last chance to hold onto their precious home.

This book was a quick feel-good novel. Get out your favorite blanket and hot chocolate and get lost in life on the cove. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes Hallmark Holiday Movies. In fact, this story will air as a Hallmark Christmas movie this holiday season.

I received this advanced reader’s copy free from Author Annie England Noblin, Avon Publishers, and NetGalley. This is a voluntary review, and all comments and opinions are entirely my own.

Who can resist a Christmas romance with Corgis on the cover? Not me. Rosie Reynolds came to live with her aunt and uncle when she was 15. They own a B&B an hour from Austin. It is on a lakeside called Corgi Cove. Rosie is now 27 and lives in a cottage on the property and in addition to helping at the B&B she has her own hives and makes honey products. Corgi Cove has lost its luster and most people go to the lakeside resort and hotel. Everett St. Claire arrives from NYC to meet with the aunt and uncle about purchasing the property for the resort to expand. If they don’t take action soon it may fall into foreclosure. Everett is on the outs at his job and needs the deal to happen. But health issues, a feisty Rosie and a supportive community get in the way.

This is a feel good, small town, romance. Everett isn’t the big city slicker he wants to be and is charmed by Rosie and the townspeople. A last ditch effort trying to win a contest may save the day. I’m new to the author and glad she gives both POVs. She also keeps things fairly wholesome like when there is concern that a kiss almost happens. Overall, this is a light, enjoyable and easy to predict outcome. I enjoyed my few hours I spent reading it but the cover to me is the most memorable thing about the book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager, for the ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review. (3.5 Stars)

3.5 stars. A sweet story told through two voices: Rosie, who was raised by her aunt and uncle, and Everett, who has been sent to Turtle Lake to buy up Rosie’s aunt’s and uncle’s struggling bed and breakfast. Although the plot isn’t all that original, I still found the characters well crafted and the romance done just right. The subplot of Rosie’s relationship with her mom and the fun minor characters add to the overall appeal.

The sneaky pair of Corgis are named Bonnie and Clyde, doesn't that signify as a major clue to the fun aspect of this delightful novel? It starts with a teenager being foisted off on her aunt/uncle to a small town, moves quickly to a dozen years later when the couple's lifetime business is near bankruptcy and uncle has a heart attack when the banker comes to the house. And then things really get interesting! Loved it!

Corgi Cove hotel is failing. Rose and her aunt and uncle all know this, but no one wants to be the one to accept the offer of the big new hotel across the lake. Everett has made Rose's family a very good offer and they ought to take it. But they hesitate. Rose hears of a contest that will give the winning entry a makeover, free publicity for a year and many other perks. Rose enters the contest, then realizes the place needs spiffing up before the contest judges show up. She enlists Everett to help her and the community kicks into high gear to save their beloved Corgi Cove. And yes, there are two Corgis, Bonnie and Clyde, who are as charming as Corgis know how to be.

No surprises here - the plot is pretty transparent. I read this book in a matter of hours, chick lit, and there are days chick lit is all one can manage. This story would make a perfect Hallmark movie.

DO NOT let the cute corgis on the front deceive you (they're little troublemakers), but the cover couldn't possibly prepare you for the beautiful story written inside! I thought I was going to be reading a cute, little fluff Christmas romance about saving an inn, never did I expect to be in tears by the end of the book.
This story had everything - quirky small town characters (like hello I want to move to Turtle Lake), the banter was witty and laughable, and the characters had real growth through the story. With the short chapters, the story was easy to read and the author did a very good job of introducing so many characters, without confusing the reader.
I would've liked to read more description about the Corgi Cove property and town, but besides that and some minor typos, I absolutely LOVED this book and will definitely be a good one to curl up with during the holidays! Thank you so much Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC!

Break out the hot chocolate! Bake some Christmas cookies! Pet a dog...or two. Corgis preferred but I'm not picky, even tho' my own is staring at me right now with her nose on my knee. This one has all the makings of a Hallmark Christmas movie, I must admit, but sometimes it's nice to know there will be a "happily ever after" ending. And, oh, I loved the cover. Actually, I think I asked to review this one before I even read the blurb, all based on this adorable cover. The dogs, Bonnie and Clyde, are featured in the book, btw, even when they might prefer not to have been the center of attention. Toss in a slow building love story, small town gal and big town guy, and a financially struggling inn and you know sparks will fly. Will the inn be saved? Oh, come on. If you know romances, especially holiday ones you know the answer to that, even if a five--year plan might be helpful.

Obviously, I've read a few of these Hallmark flavored holiday romances but I still enjoy them. Nothing wrong with happily ever after, even if it's sometimes a rocky road to reach that ending. The prologue sets a somber tone, true, but that quickly abates as main character Rosie grows to love her new home with her aunt and uncle after a troubled youth, not to mention the adorable corgis that live there. Family is important in this story, including a broken relationship, so romance and corgis aren't the only focus. That said, the romance is sweet and the corgis provide plenty of humor, including their role on stage. Nope, not telling. You'll have to read the book for that one. Heck, Bonnie and Clyde even help bring Rosie and big city guy Everett together (in a way) at the end. Smart dogs, those two.

I'm not going to detail the plot aside from that it's focused on Rosie's efforts to save the floundering inn and her only real home. Romance was an unexpected plus. So, too, is how the community comes together, despite some quirky characters. You'll see Rosie grow as a person, learning to trust and allow others into her life. We even have the advantage of dual viewpoints, so to speak, with chapters largely alternating between Rosie and Everett. That provides an interesting, much fuller picture than single viewpoint might. Bottom line, I fully enjoyed the read despite author Annie England Noblin being new to me and will be on the lookout for future books from her. Thanks #NetGalley and #Avon - #HarperVoyager for giving me a playful dose of corgi mixed with romance and community and the Christmas spirit. I am now feeling the urge for hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies.

Loved this story. Rosie came to Corgi Cove, which is in Turtle Lake as a troubled 15 year old and lived with her Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe. She ended up living in the cottage on the property there , helped at the B&B and kept bees. The B&B hit hard times when a new hotel came to town. Then came Everett who was sent there for his company to buy the B&B. . Read about all the things that happens especially between Rosie and Everertt.
A VERY GOOD READ

Rosie grew up in her aunt and uncle's charming bed-and-breakfast. Now she's in her twenties, and the beloved hotel is falling apart and failing financially. A competitor, represented by a handsome young man, wants to buy the property and raze the B&B, which would break the hearts of Rosie, her "parents", and the little town. Everett isn't happy representing the competitor, and he's falling for Rosie. How will he make his employer happy, keep his job, and still win her affection? And how will Rosie keep everything the way it is? Except for the f-bombs, I thought I was reading a sweet romance; at the halfway point, the hottest interaction is Rosie and Everett accidentally brushing hands and getting a rise out of that! But then quite a bit later, there's unexpectedly (for this book) quite graphic sex. I read all heat levels but this book couldn't decide what level it wanted to be, and I didn't feel any emotional connection to the story.

Ahh how cute is this story? The animals made me smile. Their antics are fun to read. The B&B is in trouble and soon it will be inn foreclosure. A big corporation is willing to buy it but they send a guy that so not a salesman. He likes the people, animals, location and the niece. So he drags his feel. One last Christmas season for the inn. So much to like in the book. And a good ending too! Loved it!

Rosie Reynolds arrives at Corgi Cove to live with her aunt Mary and uncle Joe when her mom abandons her there. It turns out to be the best decision for Rosie. She finds a loving home, helps out at the family inn and has a side business of raising bees. However, Corgi Cove is in need of TLC, customers and enough money to pay off debts. Enter handsome Everett St. Claire from New York who hopes to convince the aunt and uncle to sell to a big city company. A medical emergency derails his plans. Instead of closing the deal, he gets involved with the town and feels a spark or two with Rosie. Could a magazine contest for the best-themed Christmas inn help Rosie, her family and those adorable/mischievous Corgis keep their home? Will Everett close the deal and head back to New York? Will Rosie find a life with him that doesn't involve selling her home?

The chemistry between Everett and Rosie works. The banter between the aunt and uncle, the incorrigible Corgis as appropriately-named Bonnie and Clyde and the quirks of the townspeople (taking beer to a Christmas pageant rehearsal in a church?) make this a cute, quick Christmas read.

Thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager, Annie England Noblin, and NetGalley for this ARC of Christmas at Corgi Cove.

This book make me laugh out loud because it captured the corgis’ personalities SO WELL. If you like cozy, enemies to lovers stories or books with lots of doggo references (because let’s be real, the corgis are the main characters here) this one is for you.

Small town, cozy bed and breakfast facing financial probs. The owner’s niece (Rosie) is trying to save the business from having to sell to the big city, corporate businessman (Everett) by entering the B&B into a contest to get them out of financial trouble. Will Rosie save her family’s business or will Everett save his job?

I really enjoyed dual POV between Rosie and Everett and the banter between the two. I loved the fact that even though Everett is the “big city bad guy coming to steal the business”, he is really a sweet guy and wasn’t just a jerk that ends up getting the girl.

Thank you to HarpersCollins, NetGalley, and Annie England Noblin for an advanced copy of this wonderful book in exchange for an honest review!

What a wonderful Christmas story that involves a Bed and Breakfast that needs a miracle to survive, a small town that sticks together, a romance between a woman who grew up in a small town and a man who comes from a big city and the best part are the two misbehaving Corgis that will make you laugh and sigh.
I found the story thoroughly enjoyable and full of wonderful characters that I couldn't help but cheer for. I loved the cozy setting of the town and Rosie drive to save the Bed and Breakfast, its a chance of a lifetime.
Easy read.

I want to thank Avon and Harper Voyager, Avon and NetGalley for an advance copy of this delitghtful Christmas tale.

Rosie's troubled youth and virtual abandonment by her mother is balanced by the great love of her Aunt and Uncle who took her in. Uncle Joe's health scare revealed the precarious financial situation of their B&
B home, and all seems to be falling apart as Everett shows up with an offer from his corporation to purchase the place and tear it down. The story of Rosie and Everett's relationship set against the backdrop of a Texas town that is supporting of their own is a joy to read. Kindness always counts and it is evident in 'Christmas at Corgi Cove' as all join in an attempt to save the ailing B&B. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I will definitely look for more.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
