I started this book this afternoon and found myself skimming through the chapters. The book reads like a Hallmark Movie and it is just not to my taste. The plot is the same old down-on-their luck bed and breakfast. Big corporate resort wanting to buy the B&B, tear it down, and build some fancy resort hotel.

If you're looking for a Hallmark book, this would be the book for you. I really don't want to give it a low rating just because it isn't "my taste".

Thanks to Net Galley for providing an ARC to read for my honest review.

This was a delightful book! I loved the characters and the setting. It was refreshing to read a Christmas story that was more focused on the characters than it was on Christmas itself. I enjoyed how Rosie interacted with her aunt and uncle and how both she and her aunt finally were able to reconcile with Rosie's mother. I also liked the fact that Rosie's past wasn't overly dramatic, but was very believable. Everett was also interesting. He really seemed to be lost until he met Rosie and then he had to turn his life upside down to find true happiness which he hadn't realized was missing in his life. The story pacing is easy going, the secondary characters are all charming and overall this is an enjoyable, light-hearted read. I liked it from page 1 to the very end..

As a troubled teen, Rose went to live with her aunt and uncle at Corgi Cove. After initially disliking it, Rose grew to love Corgi Cove as time passed and she became the daughter her aunt and uncle never had. Finally, they and she could no longer avoid the truth: Corgi Cove was not profitable and had not been for years. A big city hotel company came to the area in, the form of Everett St. Claire. His only reason to be there was to get the couple to agree to sell Corgi Cove to them, so they could demolish it and build a bigger, newer hotel in its location. What he did not know was that, while her aunt and uncle were ambivalent about the sale, Rose was determined the sale would not ever go through. Before he knows it, Everett is working with Rose and the townsfolk to keep Corgi Cove. Rose’s one last hope is to win a contest sponsored by a large magazine which would give Corgi Cove publicity for one year in addition to a huge sum of money—big enough to keep the place going. Everyone in town becomes involved in the contest, hoping to keep things as they are. Can they do it? Is there enough there to make it all work?

This was a cute novel/romance. I immediately saw where things were going when Everett showed up on the scene. His friendship and relationship with Rose developed slowly, but it did develop. As the story progressed, however, I did find it dragged just a bit, though not too much. I enjoyed watching a small town come together to support one of its own. I also enjoyed watching Rose grow and mature into the strong, wonderful woman she did. This was a great cozy, though there was not very much in it about Christmas, which I had expected. I have not read anything by the author but will in the future after this book. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

this was a cute story. Rose was a young adult who lived at Corgi Cove with her Aunt and Uncle. It was a B&B but the business had really fallen off and they were in danger of losing it. She had lived there since she was 15 (10 years) when her mother couldn't deal with her anymore, but she loved it and her relatives and small town. In to town comes Everett who is with a large company that wants to buy their property to tear it down and build a modern hotel. In hearing that news, her uncle has a heart attack and the plans get put on hold. While he is recovering Rose decides to enter a contest to try and save her home. Everett is getting blasted from his home office that he is not closing the deal, but he is getting close to Rose and the town and is torn on what to do. There is a huge misunderstanding between the two of them and he leaves town. EventuaIlly he realizes what is important to him and returns. The story was funny at times ( the corgi's in the play) and the interactions of the town people. This story shows how small towns really protect and support each other through hard times. A very good story

This was a cute romance story! The Christmas setting seemed like more of a side note than a critical piece of the story, so it would make a light feel-good read for any time of the year. The story has local Southern flavor, and the family relationships are realistic.

While it is a sweet story, I think the book would’ve benefited from cutting the one romance scene, or changing it to closed-door. The moments with Everett and Rosie throughout the story were romantic enough without that one scene included.

That proluge was cringy. I absolutely love christmas movies and honestly can't remember if I've read a Christmas book so I was excited to start this one. Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with the Arc. I hated that Rosie was portrayed as a troublemaker who had school truancy officer on her and then suddenly she was begging her mother to not leave her with her Aunt Mary. In chapter 1 I notice grammatical errors like words switched and somethings don't need explained I.E gravel crunching. Overall I enjoyed this book, I loved Everett and Rosie and how they come from completely different walks of life; just to fall in love at the end. Also glad Uncle Joe survived his heart attack, and Aunt Mary and Katherine mended their sistership. Alas cannot forget Eric, Connie, Irene, Marty and Susannah for their roles in this book, and of course Bonnie and Clyde the Corgi duo.

Christmas at Corgi Cove by Annie England Noblin is a great, festive, and sweet contemporary romance that brings the fuzzy warmth into the holiday season.

I loved this feel-good, heartfelt, and festive romance. I can totally see this becoming a wonderful Christmas movie. It would most certainly translate into a screenplay.

I was completely smitten with Rosie, Everett, Corgi Cove, and the whole character cast from small-town Texas. Rosie and Everett are great together, and one cant help but root for both of them, and the survival of the struggling B&B.

It was cute, sweet, romantic, and hilarious…Bonnie and Clyde also add an additional level of cuteness to the story as well.

Very sweet.

5/5 stars

Fit perfectly into the small town enemies to lovers, Hallmark plot line but I loved it!

Cozy description of a small town and the characters who live in it. The dogs are great comic relief and anchors throughout the book. They are both the centers of the plot and it’s fictional b&b but totally indifferent to the struggles of the characters. A nice contrast that keeps the story light and punchy.

This book was totally enjoyable from beginning to end! I read it in the summer and it was great, so I’m sure it’s only be even better read closer to Christmas!

Thank you to Harper-Collins and NetGalley for the ARC I received in exchange for my honest review!

As a troubled fifteen-year-old, Rosie Reynolds went to live with her aunt and uncle at their B&B, Corgi Cove, near Austin, TX. She became the daughter they never had, and she grew to love Corgi Cove and small-town life. But the B&B hasn’t been profitable for years, and things are so dire her aunt and uncle are seriously considering selling the inn.

Everett St. Claire's sole purpose for being in Texas is to close the deal on the Corgi Cove property for his employer, and he'll be heading back to New York before the ink can dry. But he didn’t anticipate getting to know the owners of the inn, their niece, or the quirky people in rural Texas. Before he knows it, he's invested in helping save the inn, rather than seeing it razed and a luxury hotel built on the property.

This is a new author for me, and I really enjoyed this cute story featuring a pair of Corgis named Bonnie and Clyde – a heartwarming, uplifting read that reminds us of the importance of family and community. Just in time for Christmas, this one is sure to put a smile on your face and the holiday spirit in your heart!

This book could be the next Hallmark movie. It just has all of the components that would make it come to life on the screen and was my first thought when I started reading.

From the mischievous dogs to the adorable little Corgi Cove, this is a quick and cozy read. You will be drawn in and want to visit the inn and you will fall in love with the elderly couple that is struggling to hold onto it.

Anyone who loves dogs and small towns banding together to save a piece of history will enjoy this book.

This is a fun, uplifting story about hometown gal Rosie and the corporate representative Everett who is trying to buy Rosie's families in trouble bed and breakfast. The stars of the story are Bonnie and Clyde a pair of rambunctious corgi's.
I enjoyed this feel good holiday read and recommend it to fans of small town stories.
