Kirsten and Nick have been enjoying a romantic break in Croyde Bay, the problem is on their way home they accidentally run over and kill a man (Greg) Instead of sending for help, they decide to cover it up, they both have too much to lose. Poor Amy Greg's wife she knows something is wrong when he doesn't come back from walking Rusty their dog after a few hours. Amy calls the police , but they don't take her seriously and think he's just walked out - but why didn't Rusty come back? Greg's body washes up in the Thames and then the police begin to take Amy seriously.
Told in the first and third person and also with some letters from prison, it really keeps you reading until the early hours!!!!

Many thanks NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read this. Netflix, take note I would love to see this being adapted for a series!!!!

What a great read that was. I always enjoy this authors books but this was exceptionally good. Amy and Greg live in North Devon and life is good. But everything changes one day when Greg and their labrador Rusty go for a walk in the heavy rain. Brilliantly plotted and so well written this is that often overused phrase ‘a real page turner’. Told in the first and third person from the POV’s of Amy and Kirsten, alongside letters from an unnamed prisoner, this is suspense at its best.

Briefly, with no sign of Greg or Rusty Amy contacts the police. They think he has simply done a runner and nothing happens until a body floats ashore from the Thames a month later. At the same time Kirsten and Nick were sharing an illicit break from their partners in Croyde Bay. After a drunken lunch they drive home to London but on route they have an unfortunate and fatal accident.

So the scene is set for a quite brilliant and compelling dark thriller full of deceit and revenge. We see how initial events lead to a path of destruction. You will not want to put this book down! A gripping and tense read with some great twists and turns, the ending ultimately satisfying and I loved it.

The Other Couple by Diane Jeffrey is a simply marvellous contemporary psychological suspense that had me mesmerized from the start.
Diane Jeffrey is masterful at her craft as she draws the reader in, leading us with our emotional responses to her characters. We cling on to the narrative for dear life.
The story is told in the first and third person from two alternating points of view. As such, we become intimately acquainted with the characters.
We witness the total desolation that comes with loss. “I have nothing left to lose. I’ve already lost everything.” Desperation takes over as a character relentlessly searches for answers, employing tactics that she never realized lay within.
The weather mirrors the action as Diane Jeffery employs the literary device of pathetic fallacy. As the storm clouds gather, they mirror a character’s inner turmoil.
All the characters are well drawn and realistic. Not all are likable, nor were they intended to be. Our responses are led by the powerful pen of Diane Jeffrey.
I loved the inclusion of Rusty the dog. His zest for life was infectious. It was easy to picture him bounding along.
The characters fell into the categories of innocence and experience. The ones in the former category were by far, the more likable.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Other Couple. It was an entertaining and gripping read. I paused only to sleep as The Other Couple took over my life for a few hours.
I think The Other Couple would make a fabulous Netflix series – any producers out there, please take note.
I received a free copy from the author as part of a blog tour with Rachel’s Random Resources. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

I'm not usually a fan of domestic thriller but this one kept me on the edge and turning pages.
It starts very strong and never stops keeping you hooked and on the edge. I loved to hate some of the characters and was surprised by the twists.
The solution was satisfying.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

My first Diane Jeffrey novel but won’t be my last! I totally enjoyed this psychological drama and was hooked from the beginning. Awesome characters that worked well with the alternating POVs and kept the stopping at a fast clip. Flew through this one and stayed up way past my bedtime.
Thank you Diane Jeffrey, NetGalley and HQ/Harper Collins for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I really enjoyed this book, the intertwining tales of Amy & Greg & Kirsten & Nick.
A book of love and hate and revenge and a wonderful plot of whodunnit and will they get away with it.
Most enjoyable read for a long time.

4.5 stars rounded up.

Kirsten and Nick are enjoying a weekend away until, on their way home, they accidently run over and kill a man. They should call for help - but they have too much to lose, and no one can know the real reason they're here. Instead, they make a split=second decision to conceal the accident.

Amy and Greg have just celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary. Amy is expecting a baby and they couldn't be happier. So, when Grag fails to come home from a dog walk one weekend, Amy knows the police are wrong to believe he left on his own accord. Someone must be behind Greg's disappearance, and Amy won't give up until she gets justice - or revenge.

What a cleverly crafted plot this story has. The characters are well developed and likeable. I was hooked from the first page, and I couldn't put the book down. We follow a game of cat and mouse between Amy, and Nick and Kirsten. I was rooting all the way for Amy to get justice. Each chapter is told from a different character. There are also letters written by an anonymous prisoner throughout the book. The last 10% was the best part of the book. This is a tense and suspense filled read. The pace is steady. This is a well written and gripping read.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #HQ and the author #DianeJeffrey for my ARC of #TheOtherCouple in exchange for an honest review.

Publisher's Description: Kirsten and Nick are enjoying a weekend away in North Devon until, on their drive home, they accidentally run over and kill a man. They have too much to lose to call for help, and no one can know the real reason they’re here. Instead, they make a split-second decision to conceal the accident.

Meanwhile Amy is waiting for her husband of 10 years, Greg, to come home for the Sunday roast. He doesn't show up. The police believe he left of his own accord. But Amy is convinced someone must be behind Greg’s disappearance, and she won’t give up until she gets justice – or revenge.

My Thoughts

Kirsten and Nick are having an affair. She's a social climber and he's a successful barrister who likes to have a gorgeous young woman at his beck and call, on his terms.

Kirsten finds that Nick is seemingly untroubled by concealing the death of Greg, and has made sure his body has been disposed of, and won't ever be linked to him and Kirsten.

But they reckon without the determination of Amy, who is furious at losing her happy family life and wants revenge on whoever did it.

Throughout the book we read the thoughts of someone who is clearly in prison and we try to figure out who it is and who this person is writing to.

There are a couple of gasp-worthy twists which made this thriller highly enjoyable, and the revenge is highly original.

I feel like this book could have been 100x better if the author hadn't given away so much so early on. Right from the get go, we know who the couples are, what they did and who they did it to. I would love to have had these slowly revealed throughout the story. Half way through I knew what was going to happen and by the end I was underwhelmed.
The characters were all a bit mellow. They weren't angry enough or vindictive enough for my liking. The last few chapters and epilogue quirked my interest back up but by this time it was too late.
I enjoyed the writing and story overall and I would read Diane Jeffrey again.

I binged this fast, as I found it addicting and fun. It starts out with a bang and keeps going, but I did happen to find some of it predictable. Nonetheless the writing was great and pacing was great too.

Characters you hate to love. I love a good revenge thriller and this one was solid for sure. i'll absolutely check out her other books.

Diane Jeffrey this is my favourite of your page turning novels.

The Other Couple grabs your attention and doesn't let go.

Nothing better than a thriller that involves secrets, lies, a murder and revenge for the life taken.

Nasty characters in the couple who are having an affair , both are selfish narcissistic people.

After a dinner out Nick and Kristen are driving in the pouring rain and hit and kill Greg.

Greg's wife Amy vows revenge and you cant help but cheer for her, cry for her.

That's all I can say without giving away Amy's mission of revenge .

I will say the ending is the best.

Get your copy, clear your calendar and settle in for a wild ride.

Thanks to NetGalley and HQ HQ Digital for a pulse pounding read.

A psychological thriller that will keep you gripped until the very last.

When Amy’s husband and dog don’t come home after going out for a walk she is sure that something dreadful has happened to him. At first, the police think he has just left his life but Amy is sure he wouldn’t leave her and the baby they are expecting, so when his body turns up weeks later she sets out to discover just who killed her husband.

I could not put this book does. Really fast- paced and stood from two perspectives, it will leave you guessing until the end.

My Review:
Loved!!!!! This author is amazing!!!!! I have read every single book by her so far and I have loved them all. This book was no different. What didn’t I like is the real question. This one had everything I look for in a great read. It had great characters, a great plot, and of course my favorite a great ending that rocked my world. All the characters were shady as heck. It was fun unraveling all their secrets and finding out what truly was going on. The plot kept me very interested. Who can resist a woman’s quest to find out what happened to her husband. Did he leave her or did something more sinister happen? We follow her journey and let me tell you she never gave up and to me that meant she was super strong in so many ways. I really liked her. Now let’s talk about that ending. Wow, just wow. This author really did this book justice. Read it so you can found out how. That ending left me shocked and speechless. I was so sad to see this one end. I have to say that this might be my favorite book by this author yet. I can’t wait to read more by her.

In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
