My Review: I had a lovely time reading this even paced, easy to follow book. We meet Fleur who is on a walking break with her fella Jasper, who is quite a dominant snob type. Things don't go too well and Fleur ends up in a starting over situation, where luckily things fall into place and lead her to getting to know Matt that much better and his mother Bronwyn, brother Andy and his other half Anna. There are a lot of wounds in need of healing, and a lot of guessing if there room for love, regardless of chemistry. Things spice up towards the end and you have moments where you wonder what is happening. Nice touch.

You’ve Got This by Maxine Morrey is an absolutely delightful contemporary novel that will warm your heart and make you smile.
The action is in the first person from the point of view of the main character. We get to know her intimately. She is kind and amusing but being a pupil from the school of hard knocks means she has constructed a wall around her heart. “You helped make cracks that let the light in.” We all need to find that person who enables us to trust and to let them into our life. Our lives become richer when we learn to open up and let people in.
A family run hotel welcomes everyone with a warm smile. The reader feels the warmth as a loving kindness envelops us.
Rejection after rejection from a baby has hurt. A character is remarkably undamaged with a sunny personality which the reader admires.
Maxine Morrey has created a charming set of characters. The dialogue bounces between the two lead characters much to the delight of the reader. They are both highly amusing too.
We see a search for roots – roots that we thought abandoned. It is never too late to make connections.
I thoroughly enjoyed You’ve Got This. Maxine Morrey always writes the most delightful novels with wonderful characters, enabling the reader to sink gracefully between the pages of the book. We feel cocooned and loved.
I received a free copy from Rachel’s Random Resources for a blog tour. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

Though she didn't want to go,
Jasper and Fleur went to climb up a mountain
When mists came down, the guide said, "No!"
Leaving Jasper pouting.

He takes out his frustration at not getting his way
By breaking up with Fleur and refusing to stay.
Not only that but he's leaving her behind,
Single, jobless and a new home to find!

Matt Morgan was their guide,
Jasper's attitude he can't abide.
Matt's Mum offers her a job and a place to stay
Now Fleur's determined to find her own way.

Fleur always tries to find a way to fit in
Changing herself and behaviour, trying to win.
It hasn't worked well for years now
So she needs to find herself somehow.

Exploring the Welsh landscape, making new friends
A great place to say, she hopes will never end.
But she's used to things going wrong - whatever she chooses
Somehow she feels she always loses.

A heartwarming read of making a fresh start
Of opening yourself up, trusting your heart.
There are obstacles to be overcome on the way
But there's hope for a happy ever after some day.

There are plenty of surprises as the story unfolds
As secrets from Fleur's past start to be told.
Family, friendships and trust are an important part
But loving yourself maybe the key to opening your heart.

For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

A journey to self discovery and self esteem for Fleur after her boyfriend dumped and fired her all in one night, after a hiking in an amazing mountain. The support she gets from the people surrounding her help her gain strength and face her life with purpose. A second chance in life and love.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood books for an eARC of this title for review. All thoughts are my own and are honestly given.

Fleur French finds herself at a crossroads— newly single, homeless, and jobless— and decides to spend some time in Wales as she figures out her next steps. Veteran Matt Morgan is also back home in Wales after his military career and is finding his way back to himself. As Fleur and Matt grow closer and friendship becomes something more, they must decide if their futures involve each other.

Maxine Morrey books always make me smile, and it was a pleasure to slip into another world that she created. I loved seeing how Fleur gained additional confidence and a greater sense of self after a difficult past. Morrey always does a great job of writing characters that you really root for as individuals and as a couple. One element that did leave a small sour note for me, though, was the mention in the last chapter that Fleur punched and kicked Matt and that the kick ended up leaving bruises. I get that this was an emotionally-charged moment as they are reunited, but I don’t think that’s a super healthy dynamic— and it doesn’t really get addressed in the text other than a slight apology from Fleur + her saying that “he deserved it” 😬. With that caveat, I would recommend You’ve Got This to fans of Morrey’s previous works. 3.75 stars.

Fleur is on a hiking weekend away in the hills of Wales with her boyfriend Jasper when everything goes wrong-he ends their relationship, which in turn leaves her without a job or a place to live as he was very controlling and made her give up her apartment and her job when they got together. Now Fleur is left wondering what she will do next and where she will go, but she couldn’t be in a more perfect place to sort herself out-she’s made friends with the tour guide, Matt, and his family after Jasper acted like a spoiled child on one of their hikes, and they’ve taken her under their wings while she figures out what she wants to do next. And for Fleur, family is something she has never had, as she was abandoned at a care home as a baby and always felt like she was never wanted-thus the terrible relationships she’s been in-especially Jasper. Then one customer comes into the motel diner where she’s working and changes everything.
It was lovely to see her slowly blossoming and opening up to Matt and his family even though at times I felt like she was a bit too much of a whiner. Lots of strong supporting characters showing what relationships should really look like. Cozy little read.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

I cannot even imagine what Fleur has experienced as an abandoned baby whom was subject to being burned by boiling water. It is no wonder that she molds herself to whomever she is with in an effort to please and apologizes for every action or word she utters. She doesn't even know who she is. In a way, this book is a true representation of coming to age. In being dumped, evicted and jobless all in one fell swoop, she grew a backbone and found out who she truly is, wants and deserves. She moved into the hotel and found herself as part of a loving family. Matt made her feel loved and she could completely trust him. He would not abandon her. As the book evokved, I liked Fleur more and more. I was so glad she reconnected with her parents and had the strength to forgive. This book truly personifies that one can go through anything and still love. Highly recommended.

Fleur had a tough start to life. Abandoned as a baby, a life in care and a deep-rooted fear of abandonment. So when she's dumped, made homeless and jobless in one day, she's offered a job and a home in Wales.

I loved the journey she went on to find herself, and with the help of Matt, who was quite blunt but supportive, she managed to do just that. I loved the slow burn romance throughout the storyline. It's such a sweet story, a great escape, and I enjoyed it very much.

What should have been a pleasant short break in Wales for Fleur turns out to be anything but when not only does she end up being dumped in the restaurant by her obnoxious boyfriend she realises she has also lost her home and her job
Matt used to be in the military but now works with his brother setting up an outdoor pursuit company, which is where he meets Fleur and Jake when they book him to take them on a hike
Flyer doesn't have a clue what she is going to do and where she is going to go being stranded in Wales when Matt's mum offers her a job and accommodation in the hotel while she works things out
As Matt and Fleur get to know each other will they become more than just friends ?

This book started out with great promise however not much happened. I didn’t really like the main character Fleur, and the romance seemed forced and predictable.

Fleur grew up in foster care and now as an adult, she's always tried to be whatever her boyfriends want her to be so that she doesn't give them a reason not to want her. After her latest boyfriend Jasper, whom she lives with, breaks up with her at a restaurant after a day of hiking, the owner of the restaurant offers her a job that comes with a room at the inn. Fleur takes the job and determines to find out who she is. Matt, the son of the inns owners, was the guide who took her and Jasper hiking and they quickly become friends and Fleur doesn't believe Matt would ever have any romantic feelings for her.

Not for me. The plot held great promise but I found this one hard to get into. I spent most of the time feeling sorry for Fleur and her situation. It was also predictable how it would end. thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I struggled to put my thoughts together for this review but here's what I was able to come up with.
Fluer: she was an okay MC. I wanted to love her but there was nothing in her personality that made me love her. I found she giggles a lot it's kind of annoying at times, I don't know anyone that giggles and then giggles again 5 minutes later.
I did like the storyline with her parents. It was nice to see what actually happened to her parents although the after was a bit too rushed. When she breaks up with Matt we're just suddenly told she's been constantly talking with her parents.
Matt: he was an okay love interest. Yes, he was cute at times, especially towards the end when he was flirty with Fleur, however, most of their conversations were about the same thing so it was very annoying and cringe at times.
I wish we got to meet his ex-wife, it would have been interesting to see what their relationship was like (even though he said it was good, I wanted to be able to read about it not be told). Also, the Melanie storyline was very confusing. She showed up out of the blue and we got barely any explanation of what she was filming (was it a reality show? Was it a doc?). Her whole purpose of being added to the story was to break Fleur and Matt up.
Lastly about Matt, the ending was not fun. We think he's dead but he's not; Matt's gone missing and when Fleur finds him turns out he was on his way back? It was a child's move for him to leave and not tell anyone.
Jasper: was an absolute jerk and I like that. He had a personality (an annoying personality but still). My only problem with him was that we got so many chapters about him and Fleur, we learned so much about his background, and he never showed up again. I wish he had shown up instead of Melanie.
Anna: she's the quirky best friend but she was a great side character. We got to learn about her but not too much (the same goes for everyone else).
My biggest problem with this book was that when the story was rushed, I wanted it to have more explanation and when it was too slow, I wanted it to be quicker. However, it was an easy read and I finished it in 3 seatings with a busy schedule.

This book is a story about a young women, Fleur, trying to figure out who she is after she becomes boyfriend-less, jobless and homeless. She slowly learns what makes her her with the help of Matt Morgan and his family. I loved everything about this book until about 75% of the way through. I loved seeing Fleur grow and become her own person but the conflict in the last few chapters of the book was a little unnecessary and a little annoying. And then the way the conflict was resolved was very anti-climatic and almost seemed like an afterthought. I'm torn with what to rate this book but I think I'm going to go with 3.75/4 stars.

3,5* A nice book about self discovery with a nice Welsh setting.

Fleur French is on a weekend holiday with her boyfriend Jasper in the Welsh hills, (un)fortunately it ends with Jasper breaking up with her and leaving her behind with no work and no place to live. She has to start from scratch again, but couldn't be in a better place to do it: the Morgan family, who owns the hotel where they were staying, offers her a job with accomodation included.
Fleur, in this warm and cosy environment, can finally discover her true self, with no obligation to please others.

The story is mostly centered about Fleur character: from her sad past, her desire to not be alone which led her to some unwise choices in her life like following blindly her past boyfriends lead or being quiet to please others.
It's heartwarming to see her slowly blossoming surrounded by the Morgan family and Matt, the eldest son who's always by her side, supporting her along the way and showing her what a true friendship/relationship should be like.
It's a nice story, perfect for a cozy day home with some bad weather outside.

Thanks NetGalley and Boldwood books for providing this book as an arc in exchange of an honest review.

Jasper what a pr*&k! How come human can be like that! Feel above anyone! Act rude! Ick! Fleur so sweet, pure, to kind and lovely, i glad she meet Matt and how their relationship developt. Matt let her speak and give her opinion, make Fleur learn to be more brave, come out of that shell. Fleur deserve all happiness. I really enjoy this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book.

Loved the setting here and the friendships were nice but something about the romance just didn’t work for me. Fleur was very immature and just going along with whatever anyone said or told her to do, kind of annoying. The ending felt forced and unnatural after her whining about Matt.

Fleur is on a day hike in Wales with her difficult boyfriend when Matt the guide tells them they can’t continue in these conditions. Jasper becomes his petulant self, eventually breaking up with Fleur, telling her she’s fired from her job and needs to find a new home. Matt’s parents own the local hotel and Fleur ends up going to live and work there. After growing up in a children’s home, she struggles to trust in herself but Matt’s friendship helps her grow and heal.

This is a sweet story, showing Fleur growing trust in herself, and finding her own path in life. The thought around this takes up the better part of the story, but towards the end, there are very big plot twists that could have more of the story’s attention that feel like they are accepted and swiftly glossed over without much introspection, which feels somewhat unbalanced.

This book is filled with many interesting characters - some wonderful, and others slightly less so (I'm looking at you, Jasper!).

I loved following Fleur on her journey of self-discovery; seeing how she grew and changed as a person as she grew into her confidence, with the help of her newly found friends and family.

The settings sounded idyllic and I found myself mentally planning a trip to the wonderful North of Wales.

A feel-good read which I enjoyed.

Well, you know right from the start how this book is going to end. I loved Fleur, and my heart went out to her regarding her past, and the way Jasper treated her. Loved the Welsh backdrop. Also loved Matt's family, but I couldn't help thinking that Matt was a bit too intense and alpha-male at times for my tastes. The conversations between him and Fleur went on too long at times too. There was too much of Matt trying to second guess what Fleur was thinking and I just wanted the author to get to the point. There was enough there though to hold my interest. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
