Angoe continues to keep me on the edge of my seat with this third installment of the Nena Knight series. I have truly fallen in love with this cast of characters from the very first book, especially Nena. She continues to grow and heal in spite of the atrocities in her past, but Angoe also allows Nena to continue fighting for herself and others in the midst of her healing. She is kind, but she is also strong and deadly. I love to see female characters that exist in this category, as many times it is easier to write them as one or the other.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys high-action thrillers, but also to anyone who is looking to immerse themselves in the complicated politics of post-colonial Africa. I have learned so much from this series! Angoe has quickly become a favorite in my collection.
This final installment of the Nena Knight series suffered from the same thing the previous book did: it kind of dragged most of the book and picks up towards the final 25%. But while the second book in this series, They Come At Knight, had a pretty compelling mystery at the centre of it with a lot of excitement and plot twists in said final quarter, that wasn't the case with this book. Yes, the plot picked up a lot towards the end, but it wasn't enough for me to say I enjoyed this book a lot as a whole after finishing it.
The characters are just as endearing as in the previous books in the series. And Nena is still the fierce queen I've come to know and love. But the author did her a little bit dirty with describing and explaining every single thing that happened. Because as a reader the "red herrings" are so obviously described, you see the conclusion to this mystery coming from miles away. And honestly, it makes Nena look a bit stupid. Especially since she's supposed to be like this ninja-assassin person who's also supposed to have grown in her job to oversee this important mission.
I just really missed the smart construction of the mystery in the previous book(s). For me it was a bit meh.
It Ends with Knight is book three of the series and the conclusion to Nena’s adventures in this series. This is not a standalone novel and should be read in order of the series. Nena’s story continues as she’s reeling from the betrayals and deaths in the last book. Instead of being an active agent for the Tribe’s dispatch division, Nena is now the head of Overwatch and providing technical support and backup for dispatch. Uncomfortable and out of her element, things get worse for Nena when her father, the head of the tribe, Noble Knight sends her on a diplomatic type mission. Nena is to protect the government agents in Tanzania and the local farmers as they try to bring regulations and profits to the local mine. But things never go as expected for Nena as once again she’s placed in danger and betrayal is at hand. Action packed, unique and exciting, Nena’s latest story proves Nena can still kick butt even when the going gets tough. The ending is way more explosive than the beginning but once the story gets you there the pages fly by for an adrenaline fueled journey. So excited that I got to read the end of the series before its release!
Nena Knight has another unexpected blast from the past in this book filled with action & rich with African culture. After the death of her mentor in the previous book, Nena has to step up & into his role & the new political responsibilities don’t exactly come naturally to her. She’s also the head of a team still getting to know one another in the middle of a massive negotiation revolving around natural resources in Africa with government officials & private industry vying for power.
Nena’s resilience in getting knocked down but getting back up again & again makes her an inspiring character that isn’t perfect & because of that is authentic. I love her ability to rise to the challenges of her position & promote the values of the Tribe while also standing firm in the belief that you don’t have to keep doing something a certain way just because that’s the way it’s always been done.

Yasmin Angoe has become a must-read author for me. I absolutely loved the first two books in this trilogy and It Ends with Knight was even better than I expected it to be!
The propulsiveness of the writing, mixed with strong characters, especially strong female characters, and the nonstop action make this such an amazing read.
I cannot wait to see what Angoe writes next.
I didn't know this was part of a series so I did not read the first two books. This book was full of adventure. I like that Nena was in control of her own life and went through turmoil and obstacles. She had fight throughout. A good read. I'm going to go back and read the others in the series.
Although the third installment of the Nena Knight series wasn’t as fast-paced as the first two, it was exciting being back with Nena and her crew. A great end to an incredible series. If you liked the first books, you have to read It Ends with Knight!
This is the third and final book in the Knight series and it stays consistent with the other two and is everything I love about this series. It continues Nena’s journey on healing from her past, while fighting for her the future she wants. She juggles her personal life, her life within The Tribe, and the inevitable social politics that go along with both. As with the other two books her past continues to haunt her threatening the progress she’s made emotionally and mentally. Nena is on her own on this mission as the leader, and learning to trust herself and her instincts which is especially important when so many snakes may lay in the grass waiting to strike. This series is consistently exciting and the third book was a great ending, though I am sad the series is over!

A compulsively readable and elegantly plotted thriller.

Thrilling, suspenseful and romantic addition to a series I really loved! Angoe has a skill with weaving believable characters with strong characters arcs to really make them jump off the page. And that ending - wow! Stayed up long after bedtime finishing this one.
I enjoyed this third installment of the Knight series. We find Nena on another mission but this time it is not as action packed. The mission is more analytical and I enjoyed this take. We see some characters from her childhood that brings back the trauma of her youth. Her leadership role is new and the adjustments are many. I look forward to more from this series.

How good is this conclusion to the Nena Knight series? I downloaded it from Netgalley on Thursday afterwork and finished about 1 am on Friday morning good. I'm dragging a bit today but it was worth it!
This picks up a bit after the events of book 2 but they still loom large and unresolved over Nena and family. I love the setting of the new one and how the author gives such amazing descriptions of Tanzania you can feel the humidity. I thought the overall story about the struggle between "white saviors" who are trying to take advantage, potentially corrupt government and the local population who just want to have better opportunities was very interesting and well timed. The advancing of Nena's various relationships and family entanglement was very good as well.
It's unclear if this is the end of just this story and there will be more, different stories to come or if this is the end of the series but either way, it's a very nice wrap up!
I received an advance copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher.
