Macomber writes books that bring on the feels.
I went in blind with this one, I saw a Debbie Macomber book and knew I had to read it, and I’m so glad I didn’t have expectations.
A story of dealing with grief and rebuilding your life after loss, this isn’t a typical one of her romances, but of course there is romance. There are multiple couples and stories, multiple points of view. Seeing how a woman comes back from losing her husband, who had literally been her whole life, and starts remaking her life was interesting and inspiring, after all, how would we react in her situation?
This book was a quick read. It will put you through all emotions. I just love when I pick up one of her books because I'm never disappointed.
Another fantastic book by Debbie Macomber. I loved the main character. Great storyline and a wonderful, heartfelt story that will stay with you long after you read.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC publication for an honest review.
This is a story of healing from grief and learning to live (and find love) again. I like how the author didn't just focus on Joan's pain but explored the grief of her sons, Maggie and Phil. I have to admit there were some moments I wasn't a fan of Joan's sons and their actions/words. But overall, I enjoyed watching Joan discover living again and all the relationships established and nurtured from romance to friendship in the story.

I love Debbie Macomber her stories always make me feel good. The main character Joan has been widowed for 4 years and has kind of drawn back into herself as a result. She gets a HOA letter that tells her she needs to fix her yard so she calls a landscaping company to come fix it but specifies she must love flowers... She starts going to a grief support group, Rents out a room to a young nursing student, and starts moving on with her life. There are all different kinds of interpersonal relationships in this book just like all of Debbie Macomber's other books.
Thanks to Ballantine Books and Netgalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review...
Joan Simple is living the life she didn’t see coming. An empty nester and a widow, she has become something of a recluse since. But another birthday alone has her making the effort to finally return to living as her sister has been begging her to do for awhile now. She finds someone to take her overgrown garden in hand, finds a grief group and starts renting a room out to a local college student. Little by little Joan finds herself again as she forms new friendships and finds her place in this changed world of hers and discovers the joy of a ‘found family’ as well as a blood family.
Debbie Macomber is my go-to if I need a break from life and every annoying part of it for a comfort read that is all hearts and roses. Her books keep my faith in humanity even as her characters deal with whatever life tosses at them with grace. MUST LOVE FLOWERS is another enjoyable if predictable book by this author and even though I felt some of the characters were a bit boring, for the most part it was a satisfying read. Joan Simple is woman dealing with loss-of her husband ad now her son as he goes to college. Like a turtle, she has stayed in her home, not dealing with her grief and all the changes in her life, ignoring the changes that have happened to her. What I love about Joan is her desire to finally find herself again after such losses in her life. With everything going on in the book, she takes a chance here and there to help herself as she finds her footing again with life. I really enjoyed the college student she has a friendship with.,. Maggie, as both characters are center to MUST LOVE FLOWERS.
Debbie Macomber delivers a satisfying if at times predictable read that will keep her readers’ attention until the end. If this is truly one of her last books as she talks of retiring, I am glad this one delivered all the feels of what you expect one of her books to be. It’s full of heart from beginning to end and one I truly thought was a perfect swan song to an amazing career. I know just what I am getting with her books and for me that is just what I need periodically. If you enjoy a story that will steal your heart, then I do recommend MUST LOVE FLOWERS for a perfect summer read.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement.

Whether you're a longtime fan of the author or new to her work, "Must Love Flowers" is sure to captivate your heart and leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling. This is a sweet, comforting story of second chances. There are two romances, but the strongest theme concerns two women helping each other in tough times. Joan is a widow of four years who just can't seem to start over again. Maggie is a young woman trying to move forward in life, but she is constantly pulled down by an alcoholic father. When Joan offers to rent Maggie a room, things begin to look up for both of them. The themes of loss, starting over, and helping others shine through. Recommend.
Debbie Macomber has another hit! It’s so seldom that a book about grief is this charming. It is thoroughly enjoyable with a redemption twist. I loved the different ages of people in the book.
Must Love Flowers shows a post-covid world where characters dealing with grief take their time in moving on in life with the love and support they need. Macomber keeps a steady pace in this story with fresh new characters and delicate situations. There are moments of surprise, love, pain, and hope that keep the story interesting. Two women in different stages in life are there for each other in more ways than either expected, and it makes for a wholesome story.
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
This is a story of grief, healing and love. Debbie just has a way of grabbing your heart strings in her books.
There is more than one story in this book and your heart will be captured in all.
Debbie Macomber has been an author that I have read for a very long time. I love this book and I love the characters and everything about it.
Another fantastic read from Debbie Macomber. Her storyline you can relate to. And the characters are just like you ande. I love this book
I'm so glad Debbie Macomber didn't retire from writing books. Must Love Flowers is one of her best; of course, I always say that! This book deals with moving forward after devastating grief. We can all use some positive guidance with that and Macomber gives it to us in this book.
A heartwarming tale of love, loss, depression, alcoholism, and family, with the blessed reminder that God has a hand in your life. I found it very touching and would highly recommend for anyone dealing with the death of a loved one.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for this eARC.
This is a sweet and heartwarming book! True life issues of loss and grief and addictions. I loved the characters and the story! Always love Debbie's books!
Must Love Flowers is the newest release from one of America's best story tellers, Debbie Macomber. And uplifting and inspiring story about two women at very different stages of life. Both recognizing the need get it to move on, move forward. But neither really knowing quite how to do it. When they are each finally pushed to move
in that direction, fate steps in, and they meet. The tenant/landlord relationship quickly turns to friendship as these 2 women each help each other deal with grief loss, and family dynamics and starting over. A light read filled with warmth, a touch of humor, a dash of romance, and a big dose of hope.
As always , Debbie Macomber has a delightful way of drawing readers into the story.
Must Love Flowers is about a struggling widow , who is trying to find a way to move forward . Since her sons are always very busy she decides to rent a room to a young girl and they become fast friends. It is a heartwarming story that you find yourself wrapped up in.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for a copy for my honest opinion.
Joan Sample becomes a widow before she is ready. She has been a widower for 4 years and also during the height of the pandemic. Grief is hard and everyone handles death and grief differently. After 4 years, Joan realizes that she needs to get out more. She takes in a boarder, starts therapy and starts attending group therapy. Follow Joan as she pulls herself out of her depression and starts living life again.
Thank you NetGalley, Random House Publishing group-Ballantine and Debbie Macomber for the ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily and this is my own opinion.
