I had not read a stand alone book by Amy Clipston. This is my first and definitely will not be the last. I hope this is the beginning of a new series of hers. I loved the characters and the setting of the book. I have read 21 books of Amy Clipstons since June. This was a favorite!!

Starstruck is a cute ordinary person meets/falls in love with a celebrity love story. I really loved the premise of this book, but I felt both Heather and Alex felt much younger than the age they were depicted as in the book. Many time, Heather' insecurities felt more like high school instead of mid-twenties. This was the biggest issue I had with the book, that both characters lacked maturity. Other than that, I enjoyed this clean romance. Thank yo NetGalley for an advanced copy.

This was such a good story. Nothing beats a good rockstar/small-town girl. Alex meets Heather in her families restaurant when his brothers had a small food fight and then left a mess. He apologized for them and asked isf she and her sister wanted tickets to the concert the next night. She told him she had to wash her hair! He loved it. They went backstage after the concert and they started talking about books and music. That started a text and then phone conversations that made them just get closer. they were falling in love, but she wasn't sure she was cut out for his lifestyle. He knew he would do anything to make her happy and he did. A very lovely story, sweet too.
I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

I loved this story of Heather who falls for Alec from a popular band Kirmen, who came into a small town diner in North Carolina for dinner. Heather is upset because the brothers got in a food fight when the older brother Alex was out of sight for a few minutes. He apologized to Heather and tried to help her clean up. They left a big tip. Alex invites her and her sister Wendy as guests for that week. They end up going and Heather and Alex connect. Can a small town waitress/incredible baker have a long distance friendship and does it end up as something more. A VERY GOOD READ>

This was the first book I read from this author and I couldn't put it down I stumbled on it when I was at work as one of ordered books and I said I need to read this and it didn't disappoint

Heather Gordon is a waitress in a small-town barbecue joint and dreams of opening her own bakery. When a top-of-the-charts rock band, Kirwan, stops by they create a stir with the locals. Later as the band gets into a food fight and leaves, Heather and her sister Wendy are left to clean up the mess. Wendy is fan-smitten by the Kirwan brothers, Heather is merely disgusted. Alex Kirwan the oldest brother who had been outside during the food fight comes in to pay the bill and faces Heather’s wrath at how horrible his brothers and the roadies had been. Alex who is older and more of a grown-up than his younger brothers offers money to pay for the mess which is disgustedly turned down by Heather. So, he offers his help instead. He can’t help but be struck by Heather’s beauty and her complete lack of interest in him or the band. She hasn’t even listened to their music. After the mess is cleaned up, he offers them VIP tickets and backstage passes to the concert. Wendy accepts them excitedly, Heather rolls her eyes.
However, the girls do go the next day and Heather is impressed. When they go backstage, Heather stumbles in on Alex in his dressing room and they end up talking about books and regular life. Alex finds himself yearning to get back to the real world that Heather represents. When Heather accidentally leaves her phone in his room, he insists on the band going to her house the next morning so he can give it to her in person. Heather is stunned to see him but soon they begin corresponding by text and very slowly a relationship develops.
This sweet love story is a fairly uncomplicated look at what might happen when small-town innocence collides with superstardom. My biggest concern with the book is how slowly it progresses. The middle of the story drags on endlessly. I would have liked to see more of Heather grappling with Alex’s world. It feels like she never really gives it a chance which would help more with her eventual change of heart. I also never really see much of the temptations Alex must face while on the road. That is barely dealt with.
Still, Amy Clipston tells a mostly compelling story and we are rewarded with an HEA.
I received an advanced reader copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Cute and quick read. Maybe a bit too quick, but it was a nice time. If you are into insta love, this is for you

If you love sweet romance book without angst this one will fit the bill. It follows the story of a famous boy band member and a small town woman. It reads like a Hallmark movie. I enjoyed it as a palette cleanser between a thriller and angst ridden romance.
Overall, it was great but I was a little disappointed that the main girl character started with a lot of sass but we never got to see that side of her in the rest of the book.

I really enjoyed this book. Highly recommend.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for advanced copy, and I give my review freely.
I just reviewed Starstruck by Amy Clipston. #Starstruck #NetGalley

I usually try to find something positive to say about most books or try to carry on reading but this really didn't do it for me. I have read Mills and Boon books where you have to get into the characters quickly in order to tell the story which means a lot of exposition and explaining but Starstruck is supposed to be a full-length book and so it didn't need the huge swaths of explanation.
The dialogue was very cliche and I did feel as if I was reading bad fanfiction at times. There's only so much "there was a connection because he was hot" that I can deal with.

When a famous rock band leaves a huge mess at her family’s restaurant, Heather Gordon can’t resist telling off the one band member who remained behind to help clean up. Although he had no part in the mess his younger brothers made, Alex Kirwan does his best to make amends by offering Heather and her sister VIP passes to his band’s next concert. Surprisingly, Heather enjoys herself, and is even more shocked when Alex asks for her number. As their friendship grows, will Heather and Alex be able to bridge the gap between their vastly different lives? Find out in this sweet, entertaining romance.

"Starstruck" is a charming love story that begins when Heather, a small-town waitress, crosses paths with Alex, the lead singer of the famous rock band Kirwan. Despite their different worlds, sparks fly, and their romance blossoms. The novel beautifully explores the challenges of fame, long-distance love, and the power of a deep connection. If you enjoy heartwarming stories of unexpected romance, "Starstruck" is a must-read that will leave you feeling hopeful and enamoured.

Sweet and clean rockstar & normal girl fall in love. Alex was great and I wanted to like Heather more. I wasn’t a huge fan of her poor self image that ran the entire book. She never really seemed to work on it.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Cute small-town-girl-meets-rockstar story. Favorite thing - the authentic friendships. Hurdle- heather’s insecurities. Inspiring scene- the grand opening.

Starstruck is a very cute love story between the lead singer in a band, Alex, and a small town girl, Heather. It goes through their not so meet cute, their deep connection and the trials of being separated for long periods of time.
Things I liked: the actual storyline, the characters and their text/email conversations.
Things I had a hard time with: the dialogue was to perfect, to polished and not necessarily how people would talk.
Overall, I did enjoy the book. So if you are looking for a super sweet, spice free (kissing only), lovely romance, then this is the one for you!

3.5 stars – This was the first time I have read anything by this author, and I have to say that I did like the book. The story showed a lot of promise! I like the rockstar celebrity with a small-town down to earth partner trope. There is a huge downside to being famous and, with social media the way it is today, nothing is private anymore.
Heather and Alex have a meet cute at a small-town restaurant in North Carolina while Alex and his boy band brothers are traveling on tour. I’m not going to spoil the story here, but it is something that I could see happening. Except for one thing – Alex is 29 and Heather is 26 – but they don’t kiss until too far along into the story. I think that even a simple kiss would have been more realistic earlier on. I realize that this is a clean romance, and it is a very sweet one, but I don’t think this story would happen this way in today’s world. That all being said, I did enjoy the book and didn’t want to put it down. I hope Ms. Clipston plans on writing stories for Alex’s brothers as well and I look forward to reading them!
A big “Thank You” to NetGalley, the author Amy Clipston and Thomas Nelson Publishing for providing me with an advance copy in return for an independent, honest review.

This is a book that makes me smile whilst reading, a happy book. Sometimes you just need a book like this to unwind and escape. You won’t be disappointed

I love the book, though it took me longer than I expected it to. Maybe I wasn't in the right mind to read it. But I anyways enjoyed it. I may read it again.

This is a review of Starstruck by Amy Clipston a small town sweet level romance about a waitress that dates a pop star.
The story is an easy light read although I was disappointed that the fire of the heroine which was what attracted the pop star to her in the first place completely disappeared as soon as the scene was over and never returned. She then became quite meek and waited for things to happen to/for her and everyone around her had to prop her up. I just wish she had more guts.
