A detailed account of Caesar's last day and the break up of the Roman republic.
Based on Caesar's memoirs and those of others. Though a very factual account of the politics and battles it was easy to read and not dry like some historical accounts.
Worth a read to understand the context regarding the hopes and ambitions of a well known ruthless historical figure and the change of Rome from being a corrupt Republic to an era of Corrupt and powerful emperors.
