Thank you NetGallery for this amazing ARC! If there is one thing to know, is that I will read any Mia Sheridan book and this one was so good. Marriage of convenience? Enemies to lovers? Amazing writing and I loved Grayson and Kira! Side characters Charlotte and Walter were also top tier

This was 4.5 stars for me!

I loved the raw emotions that were unleashed between Grayson and Kira. I was hooked from the start, although it's slow start.

Imagine needing to marry someone to get your inheritance from your dead grandparent. She found someone who was also in dire need of a new start and money.

Grayson is left with a family vineyard but no money after going to jail and being left with nothing upon his release. Enter Kira who needs to marry to enable her inheritance to be released. It's supposed to be a marriage of mere convenience. Think again.

The emotions and development of trust and love were so beautifully written in this. Kira is someone I felt deeply for and the same goes for Grayson. Both of these characters deserved so much more from their families. There is SO much development in this between the plot and characters. I will admit it got boring at parts which is why it doesn't get 5 full stars.

Overall, I really enjoyed this read and the characters themselves were well-written and the chemistry was executed beautifully.

One of my favorite tropes in romance is marriage of convenience, and this book delivered. I really enjoyed this book. I’ve read Archer’s Vow by this author, and it is one of my favorite books, so I expected to like this as well because of her writing style. I sympathized with what the female main character was going through, and her motives and understanding of why she is doing what she’s doing made sense to me. The male main character was dreamy, swoon-worthy, and many other many adjectives. The couple was really cute, and their relationship felt organic throughout the book, and I really liked that. Overall, this book was great, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy soon!

Kira is desperate to restart her life away from her manipulative father and she encounters Grayson while trying to sort out her finances. She overhears that he needs money as well and proposes that they get married and split her trust fund. The plan is purely a business deal. They both get what they needs to move forward in their lives. Grayson is a little reluctant to go ahead with the plan as he thinks she is a spoiled princess, but needs must, so he agrees to the deal. She thinks he is rude, arrogant and begrudgingly handsome and they clash from the very beginning. As time goes on they realize there is more to each other than they expected. She is loving, caring and thoughtful. He is hardworking, loyal and determined. They have both had so many hurtful things happen in their pasts which makes them both closed off, but they slowly start to let each other in. Kira wants nothing more than to find a loving home and she starts to think she may have found it at Hawthorn Wineries with Grayson. Grayson finds it harder to let anyone in and when a spanner is thrown in their works he quickly jumps to the wrong conclusion. At times I wanted to shake him, but then give him a hug. Kira was so strong even with everything that happened she wanted to make everything right for everyone else. There were some lovely moments and some horrible moments in this story. It was a real roller coaster of emotions, but in the end we get the HEA and I loved their epilogue.

Ever since picking up Archer’s Voice earlier this year, I’ve absolutely loved everything I’ve read by Mia Sheridan. Her books are all so different but we can count on characters with a lot of history who learn to love with their whole hearts.

Grayson’s Vow is a marriage of convenience romance which is one of my favorite tropes! It follows Kira Dallaire, the daughter of San Francisco royalty, and Grayson Hawthorne, an ex-con recently out of jail and trying to rebuild his life and his family’s vineyard in Napa. When Kira overhears Grayson denied for a business loan, she proposes a marriage of convenience so she can access her inheritance from her grandmother and buy her freedom from her family - promising to split the money with Grayson.

I got some definite Beauty and the Beast vibes from this story and I really enjoyed the early animosity and snipping between Grayson and Kira. It made their eventual friendship and relationship all the sweeter. There were a lot of different angles to their back stories which sometimes got tangled up. It was originally published several years ago and some of the attitudes toward consent and sexual protection in romance have changed so those caught me off guard. Overall I enjoyed this a lot and will continue to read this author!

Content warnings: Kira’s father is physically abusive including once on page; there are two scenes where I thought Grayson didn’t pay enough attention to Kira’s lack of consent; Grayson recounts his time in prison; a supporting character has a heart attack on page

I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I was actually very surprised by this book and in a good way! The theme of fake marriages has been done over and over again, but this book was a pleasant surprise. I went into the book dreading that this would be a carbon-copy of other books with similar themes. However, there was so much more to the story of Grayson and Kira. I loved learning about their backstories and how their past shaped them into the people that they are now. And I love how the bad guys in the end, get exactly what's coming to them! A solid 4-start book!

Kira, estranged from her wealthy politician father, fatefully meets Grayson Hawthorne at a bank and makes him an offer he can’t refuse.

Grayson, a struggle felon, is desperately trying and failing to save his family’s Napa Vineyard.

Marrying for money with in neither of their plans, but with Kira trying to live an independent life from her father, and Grayson trying to save the vineyard with nothing, both find themselves doing something they never pictured for themselves. The marriage is supposed to be over as quick as it transpired, married and divorced in one year.

But Kira, the sweet spirited person she is, only wants to help others…including helping Grayson see more good in himself. Forcing him to want more for his life, Kira inevitably falls for all the good she sees in Grayson that he can’t. But does he feel the same?

Giving me all “The Proposal” movie vibes this book was definitely a favorite of mine. An unconventional love story that packs a bunch to every emotion out there. I couldn’t put this one down. Mia Sheridan is definitely taking her spot on my list of favorite authors.

Kira is in a bad place. She has had to part ways with her overbearing and frankly, abusive father. She has no money and nowhere to go. When a chance meeting with a man her father helped put in prison happens, Kira comes up with a plan. She approaches Grayson with her crazy idea they should get married and split the money her Gram left her. Grayson, also in a terrible spot financially, eventually agrees with the hope he can save his family vineyard he has vowed to his dead father to keep going. What follows is only what you would expect from a fake marriage between two very different people, who may just realize they are just what the other needs.

This is my first book by this author and won’t be my last. I enjoyed the writing style and the character development was wonderful. There were so many smaller characters that made a huge impact on the story and they were woven in beautifully! I will definitely be recommending this one!

I loved being able to receive this arc because I wanted to see a Grayson side !!! & Mia of course did NOT dissapoint!!! I love a good enemies-to-lovers dynamic!! We already all hated Grayson in Archers Voice so it was hard to separate the two but I'm glad I gave it a chance!!

Thank you to Bloom Books and Netgalley for the ARC copy of "Grayson's Vow". This was my second Mia Sheridan book and I was very much looking forward to it after loving the schmaltz in "Archer's Voice". Sadly, I did not connect with Grayson and Kira nearly as much. I love a good enemies-to-lovers dynamic but Grayson displayed some clearly awful behavior and did not repent nearly enough for my liking. I needed a bit more groveling from my MMC. Kira's motivation and backstory also left something to be desired for me, the girl was confusing. I will definitely try more Sheridan books after this but this just wasn't my jam.

3.5 rounded up to 4. If you're looking for a simple, easy-to-read book, this is a great choice.

I've read Mia's work before so going into this book, I obviously had certain expectations. It was a quick, easy read that took me less than 24 hours to complete on my Kindle. However, it didn't leave a mark on me as much as I thought it would have.

The marriage of convenience and grumpy/sunshine did pull me in as well as the characters. Kira was such an animated fmc, and she was incredibly strong for all that she had gone through. Grayson was your typical grumpy mc, but he said some things to Kira sometimes that just didn't end up sitting well with me.

The third-act breakup affected a lot how I looked at the book in the end. I felt Grayson should've groveled a whole lot more, and I think I would've loved this book much more if that would've happened. Obviously, I was rooting for their happy ending from the start so the epilogue was really cute to read. I just wish we saw more of a chase from Grayson, Kira shouldn't have forgiven him that quickly.

Thank you, Mia and Netgalley for the arc copy in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you to the publisher, author, and Net Galley for an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

An angst romance between two very strong character leads? Okayyyyyy. In the beginning of the story I had assumptions about Ms. Kira. I was very hesitant if I was going to like her but as the story grew, I was yelling at the book, rooting for her and Grayson. My heart was breaking for Grayson as his past was anything but easy. Kira on the other hand went into it trying her best to be kind and understanding towards the grump aka Grayson. The only downside I can say about this story is that Grayson would say/do really rude things to Kira and she just forgave him. A little chase or grovel would not have hurt.

Overall, the story was full of desperation and heartache but most of all lots of passion and hope. The ending of the story will brought things full circle and allowed them the freedom from the past they deserved. This was my first book that I read by Mia Sheridan and now I see why she's recommended all over social media. She produced a story line and writing that kept me engrossed till the very end.

Pub date: 07/04/23
CW: physical and emotional abuse, cheating, psychological manipulation, asshole fathers

Ugh enemies to lovers has me in a fuckin choke hold I SWEAR. Fake dating? Hell yeah. this was such a good book. Kira is such a GEM, y’all. Her personality and overall humanity made her such a delightful FMC. Grayson, while the man irritated me sometimes, was such a relatable person and it became very obvious very quickly he wasn’t believing what he was selling Kira in terms of their relationship being “a business transaction”. He genuinely came to care for her, and vice versa. The best types of relationships.

I’m so excited for this release and to have this book in my hands.

This is a new author for me, and now I'm wondering why I've never read any of her books before now! I really enjoyed Grayson and Kira's story. It was definitely filled with emotion, angst, twists, humor and some really steamy love scenes. Loved the supporting cast of Walter, Charlotte, Harley and Priscilla, but the jury is still out on Shane and Vanessa! Loved the setting of the winery, and the definite lessons on life and never going to bed mad. Seriously loved this book. The dragon and witch were definitely highlights in this story.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

I loved how this was so well written. Grayson and Kira story is one for the books. Fake marriage eventually lead to something more. I love that Kira and Grayson both saved Harley's life. Kira did everything she had to do to help save the vineyard for Grayson. Although he hurt her from time to time they were able to overcome it after blowing off some steam. Love if you keep fighting for it and is willing to communicate it'll always come back to you.

I don’t know why, but sometimes I forget how much I love Mia Sheridan’s books – her writing style is superb and I am drawn immediately into the storyline.

Kira Dillaire is back in the country but also out of money. While withdrawing the last little amount she has, she stumbles across Grayson Hawthorne, a man who had been imprisoned and who is also looking for money. A loan to save his father’s vineyard. Coming up with a hair-brained idea, Kira approached Grayson and presents him with an offer he really can’t afford to lose. Marry each other and she will receive an inheritance from her grandmother. They split the money 50/50 and go their separate ways… no need to make things more complicated than they are.

But, in fact, things do become more complicated, especially the more time they spend together. The attraction is intense and palpable, but Kira know her feelings will get attached, and Grayson is holding onto past hurts that prevent him from forming meaningful relationships. Can Kira break down his walls? Will their plan work? You’ll have to one-click to find out. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I loved watching these two characters grow and learn that not every person will disappoint you.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bloom Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, so I was sure I would immediately love this story of a fake romance.

Kira needs to get married to gain access to her inheritance, and she thinks she has found the perfect faux husband in Grayson, a felon who owns a winery that is hemorrhaging money and badly needs some funding. She approaches him with the idea to marry for one year, splitting her inheritance between the two.

Unfortunately this one was just not for me. I couldn’t stand Grayson’s character from the beginning. Even with a difficult past, his rude behavior and animosity was just too much for me to get I’ve and root for. I really liked Kira and her independent streak, but think she forgave Grayson for too many things far too easily. I’m not sure if my deep dislike of the love interest was why, but I just had so much trouble getting into this story. The constant little witch/ dragon stuff got a bit overdone, and I just couldn’t bring myself to like the story due to that awful man.

The writing is fine, the dialogue is fine, but in the end the book just wasn’t the right one for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Marriage of convenience is always a hit for me and the writer's writing is on point. Enjoyed it.

Looking forward to read more books by the author.

I had a hard time getting into this book but after the first few chapters I was hooked. I instantly felt a connection with Kira and loved her. Even though I loved Grayson in the end, there were times that I wanted to throat punch him. I understand why he is the way he is but some of the things he said to Kira really broke my heart for her and felt like no groveling could make up for it! Neither Grayson or Kira had easy childhoods and in the end I think this is why they are perfect for each other…they understood what the other had to live through and could relate to one another. Even though this book isn’t my favorite from this author, I still mostly enjoyed it and would recommend it.
