I am sorry but this just wasn’t my favorite read. I didn’t dislike it but also didn’t love it. The writing was okay. The cover was cute at least. Literally no other thoughts.

Such an addictive book!!! I literally couldn’t love this book and the characters any better. I’m a sucker for beautiful romance novels and Mia Sheridan always does such a good job. Archers voice and this one have such a special place in my heart. I can’t believe it took me till now to read this amazing book! Thank you Mia and NetGalley for the arc!!

I have loved everything that Mia Sheridan has written. This one included. There are some strange parts no doubt, but I overall enjoyed the story.

The beginning was... strange. I wasn't fully in it at the beginning. I thought the circumstance was too weird--too perfectly weird--that I really couldn't fathom why either of them actually agreed. It's unlike any other marriage of convienence trop I've read. I guess the other ones were msotly people with money, and here we are in the opposite situation, dire and desperate. So I suppose there's that.

The progression of their relationship I felt was well-paced. It got a little tight towards the end, and I felt there wasn't enough groveling/absolution from Grayson. But overall, it was still good. I don't particularly like when the side characters are the driving forces between the two MC's relationship... but it's fine.

Mia Sheridan always writes deeply layered and usually deeply broken characters. She has an amazing ability to make you feel that pain when you're reading. Like all of her other books, I felt that with this one, too. It felt like the characters had come to life. Now, of course, there were the ugly parts. And they did get really ugly. I felt like Grayson said somewhat unforgiveable things to Kira in his fit of rage. I understood why he did it, really, but still. I didn't mind that she forgave him easily but there could have been more. I don't believe that he was abusing her either. There was also the part of him contemplating taking her to bed even though... well, if you know, you know. Also, it was weird for Charlotte to have drugged him to do that.

All in all, it was a good enough book to read and pass the time. I read it in one day, eager to find out how it ended, so it did its job! It's not my favorite of Mia Sheridan by far, but it's still exemplory of her work as a great author.

This was SO GOOD! I loved the marriage of convenience, the found family and grumpy sunshine tropes. The Main Character's each had overcome a hurtful, traumatic past, in that way they were similar. However, they let that trauma create two complete opposite personalities. His grumpy to her sunshine. I did notice my eyes leaking in some scenes when you saw how the raw hurt was still living in these characters and how the people who truly loved and valued them showed they care. It had a beautiful found family and very sweet romance. Mia Sheridan created a modern-day fairy tale complete with a fairy godmother!

Thank you to Mia Sheridan, SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books, and NetGalley for a digital copy of Grayson's Vow.

I loved the this title. Not often does the girl get to play the hero to the guy. I really enjoyed how this twist kept things interesting. I think the cottage was the best part and I'd have made it a she-shed in a hot minute! An easy read perfect for the beach!

The whole misunderstood trope is being really overplayed in this book. I think if you can get over constant misunderstanding, you would enjoy this book. My issue is that Gray being forced to be an outsider and be judged by the people in his town, turns around and judges Kira out of absolutely no basis. It was hypocritical and quite honestly angered me. Kira was always the one making things right and honestly, I want her to stand up for herself. I didn't think Gray did enough groveling for the things he said and did to Kira. The book overall wasn't a bad book, I'm just annoyed at the MMC, and I can't get over that.

I’m always a fan of Mia Sheridan ever since my first run in with archers voice. This author can do no wrong.

This story is about Grayson and Kira. A marriage of convenience, and a little bit of enemies to lovers if you think about it.

Grayson is a good guy who had a shitty upbringing. The more he tells Kira about his life, the more your heart will hurt for him. It makes you understand his unwillingness to trust and to allow love into his life.

Kira is probably the complete opposite of him. She grew up with her dad who used her as a pawn to get his way. He treated her poorly and made her feel as though she meant nothing. Through all that hatefulness she is still such a happy and light person. Someone who does for others.

The love story that happens between the two is heartwarming but it wouldn’t be a Mia Sheridan story without a lot of drama and twists. They’re juicy, let me tell ya!!

This book has me laughing for a majority of the read, and then there were steamy scenes. Like…gets you hot and bothered scenes. I went back and read them over too 😜

This is worth the read! I was thankful to get an arc copy, but it comes out July 4th!!

I loved Archer’s Voice, so I was excited to read another of Mia Sheridan’s books. Unfortunately, this one was NOT for me. I found the plot and character’s back stories to be somewhat confusing and somewhat random. The character development was not linear and the couple’s relationship reminded me of Hardin and Tessa’s from After. Grayson did and said some extremely toxic things and Kira should not have forgiven him as swiftly as he did. Overall, not a *bad* book, just really not for me. Thank you @netgalley for the ARC!

Mia Sheridan's ability to weave words and evoke emotions is truly magical, and this book is no exception. From the moment I started reading, I knew I was in for a heartfelt and passionate journey.

Both Grayson and Kira have endured a life of privilege but without the love and nurturing they needed. They carry the scars of their pasts and are desperately seeking a fresh start. When circumstances bring them together in a marriage of convenience, their initial impressions of each other are far from positive. Kira sees Grayson as a fire-breathing dragon, and he views her as a witch. But as the story unfolds, they discover that there's so much more to each other than meets the eye. Watching Grayson and Kira learn to trust and love amidst their shared struggles was a truly emotional experience. Kira's unwavering optimism and understanding slowly chip away at the walls Grayson has built around his heart. Their journey is filled with heartbreak, resilience, and ultimately, the power of unconditional love.

Witnessing these two isolated souls find solace in the embrace of their newfound families is truly heartwarming. Mia Sheridan has crafted a tale of hope, love, and trust that kept me glued to the pages. Grayson's Vow is a powerful reminder of the transformative power of love and the resilience of the human spirit. I couldn't put this book down, and even after finishing it, the characters and their journey continue to linger in my thoughts, leaving me with a profound sense of happiness and warmth.

I have a huge love for Mia Sheridan's books, beginning, middle, and end. This one really had me in the beginning. Started to lose me towards the middle. And completely lost me by the end. The premise was amazing: both of them needing the money and turning to marriage. They also had interesting backstories, especially regarding Grayson being an ex-con. The descriptions in the beginning were very vivid, and I liked Grayson from that first time Kira saw him, but he started being hard to like page by page. By the end, I didn't see the same man, but a harsher one that treated Kira quite poorly. And Kira accepted and forgave everything a bit too quickly, in my opinion. She started strong but ended up as a pretty weak character. The plot didn't keep me interested either, which resulted in me gradually losing interest.

Mia Sheridan is an amazing author, and I will continue reading her books, but this one was not fully for me.

Shout out to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of Grayson's Vow in exchange for an honest review. This novel will be published on July 4th, 2023. Prior to downloading this eARC, I did not know that this novel was originally self-published by the author in 2015.
I have come to love the marriage of convenience trope! However, Grayson's Vow isn’t my favorite book with this trope.

I’ll start with the FMC, Kira. I didn’t super love her character, and I quite can’t put my finger on the reason why. She is very impulsive, but also can be calculating. She is a twenty-two year-old who seemed much younger or much older at times depending on what was going on in the story.

Basically, Kira was fine, I guess. It was really Grayson’s character that I found to be problematic. I think Kira’s only true fault might be that she dealt with his BS.

Grayson had the potential to be a great, complex character. As an ex-con who was labeled as the family disappoint from a young age, Grayson’s experiences have shaped him into a guarded, stubborn, arrogant man. As readers get to know his character, it’s evident that despite these flaws, Grayson cares deeply for his loved ones. In summary, Grayson fits the bad boy main character formula perfectly.

It was just the way he treated Kira that pissed me off. There are several times during his POV that in one way or another, he pretty much says ‘If I’m going to be married, I might as well get the benefits too.’ These statements inferred that Grayson thought he was entitled to sex because he agreed to a platonic, fake marriage that was already financially benefitting him? Nope. Just no.

There were some aspects of the story that I did enjoy. The vineyard setting was pretty cool, and I feel like I picked up some fun facts about wine making from reading this. The side characters were also enjoyable to read about, and I like how the backgrounds of the side characters all contributed to the ending of the story. (Note: I could have gone without the scene one scene where Charlotte… Well, IYKYK.) The sexual tension between Grayson and Kira was practically a force field and very well written-despite my qualms with Grayson’s character.

I enjoyed Archer’s Voice, but I feel like this book wasn’t for me. If you read and enjoyed Archer’s Voice, like many of us have, this book may be for you. Regardless of my feelings about this novel, I am open to reading more of Mia Sheridan’s work in the future.

Grayson’s Vow was a beautiful story that I devoured in 2 days. I loved everything about this book: the dual point of views, the storyline, the characters and the ending. The character of Kira was amazingly written. This was my second book by this author. She’s definitely an author I’m planning to read more of soon.

Many thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Mia just always knows how to tug at my heartstrings. This story was so sweet, I loved Grayson and Kira to pieces along with pretty much every side character. The angst was there, but not overwhelming and really fit their story. This is definitely one of those books that'll hang out in my head for a good while.

The daddy issues that both of these characters have is heartbreaking. Both of their dads and Grayson's mother are vile and despicable and some of the things they did to spite their children had me close to tears. I just can't imagine bringing someone into this world and treating them as pawns and filth like Grayson and Kira were. Grayson was so lucky to have Charlotte and Walter in his life, they are such loving parental figures and truly sacrificed to bring him any joy they could.

I think one of my favorite parts of this story was how the side characters showed both Grayson and Kira that blood doesn't mean anything when it comes to family and that it's possible to make your own with the people who surround you with love. Harley, Priscilla, Kimberly, Virgil, and everyone else who stepped up to help when they needed it most were just incredible and I loved them all dearly for it. Harley and Priscilla in particular came in with the best helping hand and I about unalived when their little plan came to light. Mia built such a wonderful world with these characters and I'm not sure I'm ready to leave them behind.

i definitely enjoyed this book! i really loved the characters and the tension and banter between them made this book so much better. this book was definitely a different, more lighthearted, style from her other books but i still really liked it! i also really liked the message behind this book! i do wish the characters had more chemistry and connection rather than attraction.

i really really enjoyed this book and i loveee literally anything mia sheridan writes 🙏

Another beautifully written book by Mia, and another reminder why I automatically buy anything she writes.

I loved this story. The way Grayson and Kira's relationship developed was perfect. It felt natural and realistic considering their extreme personalities. Both characters are so fiery in their own way, and somehow they still balance each other out. I'm all for the emotional stress just to see the way things come together in the end, and I absolutely adored the way they taught each other how to accept love.

As for the non-romance plot points, I really enjoyed the drama with both families, and I loved the conclusion of it all. It really felt like all of the tension and issues were resolved by the end of it, leaving no unanswered questions. Overall this was just a great story, thank you so much for the opportunity to read it!

This was my first Mia Sheridan book and it left me wanting more. There was more backstory in the synopsis then in the beginning of the book. I don't believe this is part of a series, but for the first quarter of the book, I felt like I was missing a lot of information about Kira, Grayson and how they got to this point. It made it hard to connect to the characters and plot. The extreme back and forth in their feelings was both frustrating and repetitive and I did skim a few of the scenarios. I did enjoy the epilogue and knowing how everything turned out. Fans of Sheridan will most likely enjoy Grayson's Vow better than I did.

Grayson’s Vow is a Re-release from author Mia Sheridan. This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait to read more!

Kira Dallaire is desperate. Desperate to get out from under her fathers corrupt political agenda along with her ex fiancé. Cut off from her father and unable to cash the inheritance cheque from her grandmother until she is married, Kira hatches one of her infamous bad ideas…..find someone as desperate as her, willing to marry for money and divorce shortly after with no strings attached.

Grayson Hawthorne is just that guy. Recently out of prison and back at his family’s run down vineyard. Grayson has one last harvest to try and salvage what’s left of the family business but he has no money left to fix the equipment and pay a crew to harvest what is most likely the last crop to come from Hawthorne Vineyard.

Kira approaches Grayson and they strike up a deal that will save them both. Agreeing to a marriage of convenience with no strings (or feelings) attached, they plan to tolerate each other for a couple of months until the inheritance cheque comes in and they can finish their business deal.

As the weeks go by, there is no denying the spark between them. Grayson and Kira slowly become entangled in a relationship that won’t be so easy to walk away from. What happens when you fall in love with your fake husband?

This was a 4 star read for me. Lots of angst and emotions and a bit of spice. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a quick read romance (enemy to lovers, fake relationship tropes).
