Kira is out of options when fate causes her to cross paths with Grayson Hawthorn, the man her father wronged years ago. She sees a way to right her fathers wrong as she listens in on Gray asking for a loan and being turned down, and she decides she's going to ask him to marry her. Not for love of course, but so that she can gain access to the trust fund left to her by her Grandmother and in doing so she can help Grayson out of a bind with his failing vineyard.
These two were so hot and cold it was a little hard to keep up at times, but I enjoyed their story. I definitely wanted to slap Grayson more times than not based on his "dragon like" personality but in the end I was happy they pulled it together.

I received this ebook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and review. I LOVED THIS BOOK. In a sad way, it warms my heart to see two broken people find love. I love Kira’s character, she’s feisty and I love all her crazy ideas. Grayson needed some work in the beginning, but I grew to love him too. I’ll be thinking about this love story a while from now. It’s one that sets the bar for other love stories.
also… she forgave him WAY too quickly lol

Look, I loved this one! I didn’t realize this was a rerelease as I’d never read it before but I’m so glad I did! Grayson and Kira were drama at its best! At times they frustrated me hence the 4 stars but I still loved it!

Thank you NetGalley and SourceBooks Bloom Books for this ARC. 🤍
When I saw this ARC opportunity I knew I had to request and I was crossing my fingers and toes I would be chosen as a reader. I did a little happy dance when I got my approval email. 🤭 My first book by Mia Sheridan was Archers Voice (swoon), it’s safe to say anything Mia writes, I’m adding to my TBR.
Graysons Vow was a nice variation of some my favorite tropes; grumpy sunshine, marriage of convenience and enemies to lovers. This is written with dual POV which I also enjoy. It tells a story of Kira and Grayson who are strangers that decide to get married in order to reap the benefits of Kira’s grandmothers inheritance. Kira needs the money to start her own life out from under her fathers thumb and Grayson needs the money to save his vineyard.
The one and only thing I didn’t really like was the whole “dragon and witch” banter repeated so heavily. I’m not sure why to be honest. Most nicknames and banter doesn’t bother me but for some reason this one was a little cringe for me. However, I still recommend this book! 4 stars for me and I am very much looking forward to continuing to read anything Mia writes. This new edition pub date is 07/04/2023. 🎉

Thank you NetGalley! This is my first Mia Sheridan book and this blew me away! The characters backstories and growth were amazing. There were a couple of scenes that had me tearing up! Here's to the little witch and her dragon!

This wasn’t my favorite book from Mia, but I definitely still think a lot of people will enjoy this marriage of convenience romance. I would’ve wished for a little bit more out of the relationship and development of the characters.

3.5 stars
I really liked this book, but I didn’t love it. The concept of the story was really intriguing. Marriage of convenience between Kira, who needs to get married in order to get her inheritance from her grandmother, or otherwise deal with her horrible wealthy father, and Grayson, who is a convicted felon who cannot get a loan to resurrect his family’s vineyard.
I really liked Kira and Grayson together— who have more in common they think with similar childhoods and traumatic pasts. All of the characters written around them though felt like they belonged in the 1800’s…Walter, Charlotte, Virgil? I struggled to keep reminding myself that this is supposed to be a contemporary romance…at least I think. I also hated their nicknames for each other (Dragon and Little Witch).
I really appreciate how Mia writes romances for everyone— not just people who have had pretty easy, trauma-free and/or privileged lives.
Overall I enjoyed this book— it was a quick romance and the spice level was right.
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC!

Grayson’s Vow took the marriage of convenience trope and packed in as much miscommunication / who hurt you energy as the characters Kira and Grayson could take. I just wanted to see the two of them have some peace in their lives. This was more of a slow burn as Kira and Grayson build a relationship despite neither having much experience with love or trust. This was my third book by Mia Sheridan’s and I’m loving her storytelling. Thank you to Bloom Books and NetGalley for the ARC.

I am an absolutely huge Mia Sheridan fan. Her books are fantastic! So I was shocked when I started reading this one that it honestly, just didn't feel like one of her books. I made it halfway through but I am seriously despising this book, so I'm giving up!

Five Stars - “Dragon and Witch” Stars.
Thank you NetGalley for approving me to read this book.
I absolutely love this book. It will make you mad. laugh and cry all in one chapter.
Kira needs a way to finally escape her father and her past. Grayson’s is caught up with his past and needs a way to save his vineyard, fulfil the vow he make to his father and finally make a future to himself. So when Kira comes to him with a business proposition he feels like his best option to save himself from ruin.
This is a must read. Read it this summer

I love Mia Sheridan, I love wine, and I love the marriage of convenience trope. Requesting to read this was literally a no brainer. Unfortunately, it was a big miss for me. Kira was a well-rounded character with a heart of gold and, for the most part, good intentions. Grayson, however, was toxic with a capital T. I haven’t despised a love interest as much as him in I don’t know how long. He became more and more unbearable with each chapter and he really ruined the book for me. Alpha male characters are fine but that wasn’t the even the case with Grayson, he was just a crappy person. Being dealt a poor hand doesn’t give a person the excuse to act as horribly as he does and I was sick at every attempt to validate his actions so the reader could feel sympathy for him. Sheridan books tend to be drama heavy and soap opera-esque., this one more than usual. Not my the smoothest or most natural dialogue either. Overall, I can’t deny I’m a bit bummed out. Mia Sheridan is still an auto-buy author for me and I think this was just not the book for me. It has fabulous reviews though so I might just be an outlier.

Thank you @read_bloom @netgalley for a copy of this. I always love a marriage of convenience and the reason for Grayson and Kira made total sense. I love that Grayson was sort of an ass when Kira moved into the winery and his assumptions about an heiress was all wrong. Their banter was great and the supporting casts of characters gave the story depth. Both of their dads were so horrible and it seemed just a tad unrealistic. Overall, I enjoyed this one.

It was a good book. However, I do have to point out that the male Mc was named Grayson Hawthorn. Usually there would be no problem, but Grayson Hawthorne is a pretty prominent character in the inheritance games series. Did nobody check this? Did they not care? I get it if it was a small book, but inheritance games is a big series. Idk I kinda feel like it’s trying to ride on the coattails of inheritance games by being the second search result when you look up Grayson hawthorn/Hawthorne. An adult romance with pretty much the same character? Sure! Why not?!

I usually like Mia Sheridan's books, but this was a big miss for me. Grayson is not a good guy and the heroine is just weak and pathetic and doesn't even fight for herself. I understand the damsel in distress vibes, but this was just gross, especially when you consider how Grayson treated her. There was so much wrong with this book, and I don't even have adequate words for how I really feel about it but I just cannot recommend this one.

I got into this book wanting some light that would make me giddy. While it started out that wat, I quickly came to just want the book to be over with already because the mmc is sooo toxic and the fmc does not have a back bone. I just could not get past some of the scenes in this book because the characters were so one dimensional

Sheridan’s steamy standalone is a fun and fast-paced read!
“Grayson’s Vow” alternates between Grayson Hawthorne and Kira Dallaire’s points-of-view each chapter. Through their respective viewpoints, Sheridan slowly reveals details about their tumultuous pasts, the abuse they experienced at the hands of their respective parents, and the difficult places they are in financially. Doing so perfectly lays the groundwork for the incorporation of the marriage of convenience trope and makes the scenario much more believable.
Out of pure desperation, Kira suggests that Grayson marry her so that she can fulfill the terms of her inheritance. In return, he will receive half of her funds to resurrect his father’s vineyard. For all intents and purposes, their marriage is supposed to be real on paper only and merely temporary. Their initial agreement changes, however, when their opposite personalities bring them closer together and create undeniable chemistry between them. The romantic tension Sheridan creates kept me on the edge of my seat!
At the same time, miscommunication and misunderstanding are frequently used to create some of that tension between Kira and Grayson. This method was a source of frustration for me as a reader because Grayson tended to resolve conflicts that arose between them physically. I found this slightly off-putting because he essentially relies on Kira’s attraction to him to diffuse tough situations. Still, I loved following Kira and Grayson’s relationship development and enjoyed their banter. Sheridan’s writing has an addictive quality to it, so I will definitely pick up other books by her in the future!

I've been moving away from New Adult as I've gotten older, but Sheridan's books reignite how much I enjoy the genre.

Awww, I loved Kira and Grayson's story. Another superbly written book from Mia Sheridan that had me hooked right from the very beginning. If you like the marriage of convenience trope then you will absolutely love GRAYSON'S VOW.

From my POV, Mia Sheridan has always wrote developed characters. For example when it comes to their past traumas and everything they have to overcome. This book; as well as her others, have always had this emotional hold over me. Mia’s character development gives you jerks vibes but you still want to cheer them on and see things come true. The writing / POV did have me rereading some parts but it didn’t bother me bc I was able get get the full circle of what was going on.
Thank you to Mia Sheridan, NetGalley and bloom books.

Grayson’s Vow is first Mia Sheridan book I've read, and I was excited to read this advance copy from NetGalley.
Kira is trying to escape her father and the name he has built for himself in politics, but she has no means to do so. Grayson is doing his best to rebuild his family’s vineyard after his father’s death. Kira proposes a business deal to benefit both of them, knowing that her father was somehow connected to Grayson’s past. It sounds crazy!
Through an alternating point-of-view narration, Mia Sheridan provides a romance between two characters who are both healing from trauma and find each other in the process. The heat between them is undeniable, but can they trust each other (and themselves) enough to find happiness?
Grayson’s Vow was a page-turner and kept me interested all the way through. I saw some reviews that said this book is not as intense as Sheridan’s other books which makes me interested in reading more of her work.
