If I could bottle up and save the way Mia Sheridan’s books make me feel, I wouldn’t even hesitate. I loved Archer’s Voice and I was so excited to read this one. It really did not disappoint.
This book had everyone’s favorite romance tropes: marriage of convenience and a broody, dark haired male main character. The banter between Grayson and Kira was top tier. And more than once, them together had me giggling.
However, while some of this book is filled with fluffy scenes that will have you twirling your hair around your finger, it is also filled with some very intense but important topics. Grayson’s Vow touches on topics like rebuilding your life as a felon and abuse. This makes it so much more heart wrenching as you read about Kira and Grayson’s past and how those similarities— and the differences in how they cope— bring them together.
I often found myself getting frustrated with Grayson, and the way he dealt with his emotions. And while it made me want to pull my hair out at times, I think that was the point. Though, he could have groveled a ton more and Kira could have held out a little longer.
All in all, this book was a masterpiece and I loved reading it. If you love a heavier romance, that will make you laugh and cry, this is the one for you.
"And bear this in mind: love is not always smooth and easy. Love can be piercing. Love means exposing yourself, every tender part-to being hurt. because true love is not only the flower; true love is also the thorns."
I loved this book! My heart went through so many emotions while reading this book and I have no complaints. Mia Sheridan always brings complex and lovable characters. Kira and Grayson were souls who needed each other in more ways than one and to see them overcome their challenges together was blissful.
"There's nothing on earth like the feel of someone who loves you grasping your hand in the dark when you're lost and afraid."

"Grayson's Vow" by Mia Sheridan is a captivating story of two individuals brought together by a marriage of convenience. Kira Dallaire needs to get married quickly to access her inheritance and escape her abusive father's grasp. Grayson Hawthorn, a struggling vineyard owner and convicted felon, sees Kira's proposal as an opportunity to save his business. But as they navigate their temporary arrangement, Kira's quick wit and impulsive heart challenge Grayson's detached demeanor, and their fiery passion threatens to turn their business deal into something more.
Sheridan's writing is poignant and evocative, drawing readers into the heart of Kira and Grayson's journey. The characters are well-developed, with complex backgrounds and motivations that add depth to the story. The themes of healing, forgiveness, and redemption are woven seamlessly into the plot, creating a satisfying and emotionally resonant read.
While the book does contain mature content and sensitive topics such as abuse, deception, and trauma, Sheridan handles them with care and sensitivity. Overall, "Grayson's Vow" is a beautifully written and engaging romance novel that will leave readers rooting for Kira and Grayson's happily ever after.
I’ve always enjoyed this author’s stories so I was very excited to get an ARC of Grayson’s Vow. I am a sucker for the marriage of convenience trope so I went in with great expectations.
I started off liking Kira, the rich but unloved ‘princess’ who is also a do-gooder but I did get tired of her not standing up for herself. I enjoy stories with a tortured H. However, Grayson lost major points with his comment “men only want to marry meek women”. Granted he had an abhorrent childhood (as did Kira) but he seemed to be constantly lashing out at all his family which made it difficult for me to have any empathy for him. This story is heavy on the angst which seemed to go on and on and on. I ended up skimming pages to try and get the story moving. Nor was I a fan of their pet names (witch and dragon). I cringed every time that came up.
This was a disappointing read for me.

Would you marry for money? What about fake a marriage for money?
Kira was the daughter of a well respected man of politics. We daddy dearest set her up with an up and coming man of politics that he felt fit for his daughter. Well without giving anything away, things didn’t go as planned and Kira ended up going overseas to save face. When she returned, daddy dearest was up to his scheming ways still trying to get her to marry Cooper. Kira was bound and determined to make it in life without her dads money. She did have an inheritance that she could collect from her Grams in the condition that she marry. Kira just needed a guy to go along with her plan. After stumbling upon Grayson Hawthorn, he plan turned to action. What they didn’t plan on remains in the pages of this beautifully written book.
This book was super cute and sweet. So much good advice is thrown in here as well.
“And for those such as yourselves, true love is a scary prospect. True love is the greatest leap of faith there is.”
“And listen to them, not with your hurt, but with your heart.”
“Sometimes pain is so great, it feels as if it carves out vital parts of who you are. But love is meant to fill that empty space.”
“A relationship is not a competition. If it is, no one wins.”
Read this book if you love the fake marriage to love trope, love wine, love a good come up, and love sweet revenge.
Marriage of convenience is my favorite trope and Mia Sheridan delivered a marriage of convenience like no other. I loved this book. It’s sweet, funny, emotional, spicy, and everything I’ve come to love in a Mia Sheridan book. Grayson and Kira were perfect for each other. Although in the beginning it was a little dicy. They both had preconceived ideas about the other and let those assumptions sway how they treated one another.
We first meet Kira trying to access a trust her grandmother left her. We don’t immediately know all the details but we do know she’s penniless and estranged from her father. She need to be 25 or married to access the funds. At the bank she overhears Grayson being declined a loan and decides they could help each other out.
I loved Kira. She was determined, kind, loving, and funny. Initially Grayson was a grump. He was so closed off. It took some time, but he does eventually begin to open up. Both Grayson and Kira have a heartbreaking past, but once they decide to open up it was perfection. I loved watching them get to know each other, and find their way.
Grayson’s Vow was everything I hoped it would be and then some. I laughed. I cried. I smile so big. This book was the perfect mix of all the feels. It’s a story of love, strength and perseverance. I highly recommend it!
This is my first Mia Sheridan book but won't be my last. Really enjoyed this one. Kira and Grayson have both dealt with a lot of bad stuff in their past from their fathers. Now they are both broke and are trying to make it on their own. Kira can inherit money from her grandmother if she gets married, so she proposes to Grayson that if he marries her she will split the money with him. Grayson is in a bind and trying to revive his family's vineyard so he agrees. There is alot of tension and assumptions made between these two at the beginning. As they spend time together and learn more about the other's past, they realize their first impressions were wrong.
Grayson's Vow
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was skeptical at first because it's the same plot like others. But I'm really glad to read and finished this book. It's not your typical bussiness marriage. Grayson's Vow built different. Different that it makes you love Mia Sheridan.
I am really amaze by how loveable Kira is. I laughed at Grayson's confusion about her. I cried at their backstories. Broken yet have beautiful soul. They really are meant for each other.
I will recommend this because it remind us that "Love is not always smooth and easy. Today may be a very bad day, but tomorrow may be the best day of your life. You just have to hang on until you get there". One of my favorite read this month!
I love Mia Sheridan's writings, but this time I didn't enjoy it as much as I did before. I couldn't connect with the characters, especially Grayson. Usually I liked Mia Sheridan's male main character, but Grayson really infuriated me. I saw no groveling from him. This was a quick and easy read and I enjoyed parts of it, but I don't think I'll reread it.
Thank you to Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Thanks for this copy of Grayson's Vow. I love Mia Sheridan's stories and like the others I've read I did enjoy this one. I did feel like some of it was more cliche then her other books though.
Both Grayson and Kira had a lot of trauma, which seems to be a common theme in Mia's books, and something I enjoy reading. I absolutely loved Kira and Grayson's nicknames for each other too. I did feel like their relationship was somewhat rushed (which I know isn't that uncommon in fake marriage/forced proximity stories). Overall it was a good story and enjoyable read.
I love a marriage of convenience and this did not miss. The love story between Grayson and Kira was beautifully written. It does touch on some heavy family topics but was written well. I wish there was a little more angst to the story but it was an amazing book. I look forward to reading more from Mia.
"Love is not always smooth and easy. Love can be piercing. Love means exposing yourself—all of yourself, every tender part—to being hurt. Because true love is not only the flower; true love is also the thorns.”
This was such a beautiful love story, it was exactly what I needed to read. The romance was perfect, I loved the characters and the plot. This book follows Grayson and Kira. Kira goes to Grayson to propose a marriage of convenience so that she can get her inheritance money. Kira is in desperate need of her inheritance, and so is Grayson, who just got out of prison and is trying to revive his dads dying winery. In the beginning, Kira and Grayson kind of hate each other because of misconceptions, but in the book, we see them get closer and fall in love. This book had fun and silly moments, but it also touched on serious issues that the main characters had gone through. I loved Kira, she was a great fmc, Grayson was good as well, but some of his choices and actions were not great, even though I did understand why he did them. The side characters were so lovable and were a great addition to the story,
Overall this was such a sweet and lovely read, this was my first read by Mia Sheridan, and I will definitely be checking out more of her books.
Thank you, Bloom Books and Netgalley, for this arc for an honest review.
I am never disappointed in Mia’s work. It is so heartfelt and beautiful and overall just perfection. I adored this book, even though it talked about heavy topics. However, Mia writes about these topics in such a great way.
Overall I love this book!
WOWWOWWOW. I loved this whole experience. Ms. Sheridan did it again, and gave her readers exactly what they want in a romance novel. I am obsessed with every single novel she publishes. Big thank you NetGalley and to the publisher for the chance to review this book pre-release. A more formal review will be available on my IG/TikTok and Goodreads.
Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I had high hopes for this title after absolutely loving Archer's Voice but this book did not meet that expectation.
The male lead was a mentally abusive ass who's behavior was "justified" from childhood trauma. It made me feel uncomfortable and gave me the ick.
A really enjoyable read, almost enemies to lovers/fake dating, two tropes I adore and characters that you can't help but root for. This was quick and fun and I loved seeing their relationships and lives develop. I would recommend for fans of Colleen Hoover.
This was a quick and easy, sometimes fun, read. It’s a bit over dramatic and ridiculous at most points, but I did enjoy Grayson and Kira’s banter.
Two hard up individuals, Kira, age 22, and Grayson, agree to marry for the convenience of an inheritance from Kira's grandmother, who stipulates Kira must be either 30 year old or married before she can inherit a million dollars.
I enjoyed the challenges to their plan when an ex-girlfriend and an ex-boyfriend show up to complicate matters. Kira and Grayson are also children of particularly hard and cruel fathers who had put them in their untenable situation.
I liked the vineyard setting of Grayson's home, and the minor characters who play a smaller but important part in the romance. The plot was enjoyable but predictable. I thought the ending could have been shortened. It seems as in so many books, the author just couldn't let go of the characters enough to bring the book to a swifter ending.
Mia Sheridan never disappoints! Grayson’s Vow was so good. Such an emotional story about love, strength, and perseverance. I probably felt every single emotion at some point during this book! I love the well developed characters, and the detailed backstory for Grayson and Kira which only makes me love them more. Great read!
How can this be considered romance?! So much emotional abuse in this book. This is why I refuse to read Colleen Hoover and I guess I’m adding Mia to that list!
