I was so excited when I received the eARC of this book because I love Archer’s voice by Mia Sheridan.
I read this book on my transatlantic flight in July and it did not disappoint.
Tropes include marriage of convenience, forced proximity and grumpy vs sunshine
“Forget the prince and princess. I always imagined the most interesting story was between the witch and the dragon.”
Thank you to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!
Title: Grayson’s Vow
Author: Mia Sheridan
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
I typically enjoy marriage-of-convenience stories, and Grayson’s Vow was an overall good read! However, this book started at a slower pace and did not immediately garner my attention like the author's other works.
In this story, Kira is impulsive and reckless in her decision-making, often taking grand leaps and adhering to those choices no matter what the outcome. Grayson is hardened due to drastic past experiences, yet he is on a path of redemption to honor his late father. When they agree to marry temporarily to fulfill the terms of Kira’s inheritance, Grayson and Kira must learn to get along.
It seemed in several instances throughout the book that many issues could have been resolved through simple communication. Kira allows herself to be treated poorly in order to achieve her end goal, while Grayson’s behavior is questionable at times. Even so, I enjoyed their banter and Kira's tenacity in proving her value. Grayson's vulnerability is ultimately what allows him to grow and accept the help he needs. You'll feel pleased when things start turning around in the story. I sure did!
There were some sparks, but Grayson and Kira's romance lacked the magic; they never truly took off. I felt as though both of these key characters lacked depth in their characterization. They both have personality traits that I thought lacked maturity. However, if I had to pick just one, Kira would be my first choice. Although I thought there was a lot of sexual tension between these two, I didn't get the impression that their love was truly passionate or that it had a happily-ever-after ending. In this book we have characters with troubled pasts, a chance at true love, and a fantastic climax, but Sheridan's writing style has a lot of superfluous, pointless wordiness.

📖Grayson’s Vow By Mia Sheridan 📖

Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
My Thoughts~ loved this book so much it had me all in my feelings, one minute I’m happy and laughing at the characters and there stubbornness, the next minute I am wanting to yell at them for there stubbornness. They were so good for each other in many ways because they were completely opposite. Kira is kind selfless, generous, fun, free spirit of a woman and Grayson is shut down, all work no play in a sense however as the book goes on you get the good sides of Grayson as he opened up. I absolutely adored the relationship that Grayson has with Walter and Charlotte and also the relationship that Kira developed with them.
The nicknames that they came up with for each other were super cute I don’t want to spoil them so I’ll leave you to read the book and find out 😉. I highly recommend giving this book a read easily a 5 star read for me.
Quotes
“A relationship isn’t a competition. If it is, no one wins.”
“I love you, Kira. I’ll never stop saying it. I’m ready to brave the thorns. I’ll plunge myself on them for you.”
I really enjoyed Archer’s Voice and Travis, so I was super excited to dive into Grayson’s Vow. Overall, I think the writing and flow of the story was good. I loved the way Kira would poke fun at Grayson, and every time we got a peek at her free spirit. She was such a lovable FMC!
I had a harder time connecting with Grayson and found that pieces of his story seemed a bit disjointed or in the wrong place as they were revealed. This was a re-release through Bloom Books and I think Mia’s writing has come a long way since Grayson’s Vow.
Read this one if you love:
🍷A strong FMC
🍷Enemies to Lovers
🍷Marriage of Convenience
🍷Grumpy/Sunshine
Thank you to NetGalley, Bloom Books and Mia Sheridan for an advance copy. This is my honest review.
Grayson's Vow is a gorgeous and emotional story about love, strength and perseverance. It was also a lot of fun to read. It made me cry, it made me smile and it made me feel. I'm not sure if there is a better combination out there.
I love books that make me feel, but also make me laugh and smile. It was the perfect mix. A sure sign I loved a book is when I stayed up all night and read it cover to cover and thats exactly what I did with this one!
Grayson's Vow is one I highly recommend!
Another great read by Mia Sheridan! I have loved her entire catalog and this one did not disappoint. PSA do not read anywhere that you don’t want to other people to see you crying. I can’t wait to see what she has in store next. Check out Grayson’s Vow!
I will say this book isnt classic Mia Sheridan. the set up is very good. we love troubled MCs but it loses the flair very early on. This book starts with Kira who is running away from her rich dad needed a marriage for convience to get her inheritance.. (i am here for it) but seeminly picks a random dude , a felon no less, and is like boom ttheres my mark. Grayson spends far too much of the book a complete asshat. the majority of this book is just Grayson ruining everything and Kira basically letting him act a dang fool.. meh.. this one wasnt for me.. also it made me google and fall down the rabbit hole of Vigneron. It never actually mentions Graysons job so I had to google it.
This must be a second edition as I realized that this book existed previously. I have enjoyed Mia Sheridan’s books previously and this was had its fun and angsty moments but the main characters, Kira and Gray felt very immature but somehow, in a slightly mean way. Through it all, the witch and dragon, their pet names for each other, needled each other into love and the fake relationship became real, loved the overall rest of the supportive cast and it was a well rounded story about overcoming life’s adversity with slightly passive aggressive partners.
Absolutely devoured this book and enjoyed it. The spice and romance was great. I really liked and connected with all the characters. Highly recommend
It took me a couple of days before I could write a review for this beyond amazing book!
This is the story of Kira and Grayson. Kira comes from a wealthy well to do family but has never looked at it that way. She has always been a strong, stubborn, free spirited woman that has probably come up with WAY too many "good ideas" for her own good. But she has one more up her sleeve. If it works, her luck will change for the better and her car won't have to be her home anymore. But can she slay the dragon..or maybe just tame him...
Grayson has had a hard life and just when he thought it was about to get worse, a little witch arrived to "save" the day. When Kira arrives on his doorstep with a proposition for him, almost throws her out. But there is something about her, maybe the fire in her eyes or how desperate he is to save his vineyard. Hopefully this little witch doesn't have any spells up her sleeves.
This book took me from one end of vineyard to other. I think I got lost in the maze but I didn't have Grayson there to save me!! What a heart storm of a book!! I swear just when my heart had slowed down and I started thinking that everything was going smoothly....SMACK!!! Right in the face and there would be tears streaming down my face.
Kira is the most hopeful, strong-willed character! Her past somehow did not dirty her future, at least not in the general sense. Her heart on the other hand might need some help. Grayson.....oh sweet, fire breathing dragon...
I LOVED Charlotte and Walter!!! There were so many great sub characters in this book as well!
I'm pretty sure Mia Sheridan must think that it is in EVERY reader's best interest to be a bawling mess while reading this book, because I sure was!!
Grayson’s Vow by Mia Sheridan

Kira can access her trust fund once she gets married. When she sees Grayson Hawthorne at the bank denied for a loan, she strikes a deal with him that would benefit them both.
Told in both Mia and Grayson’s perspectives, you get to experience this amazing story and learn more about both of their pasts.
I just love Mia Sheridan, okay? She is just SO consistent and always writes amazing stories. I knew right away this one would be one of my favorites by her.
I have started to realize I enjoy a Grumpy / Sunshine trope as well as Enemies to lovers 🙈
I highly recommend this one! I think besides Archer’s Voice and Kyland this one was my favorite. This one was a little bit more of a slow burn than normal but she knows how to write a spicy scene 🌶️
Thank you Bloom Books and Netgalley for this ARC! You can buy this one now!

This book was okay. It was a little too much for me at times but overall a decent story. I probably wouldn’t pick it up again.
Grayson's Vow reminded me of other two books, Unfortunately Yours by Tessa Bailey and In a Jam by Kate Cantebary. Bearing in mind, Grayson came first, I can't be more than happy that Tessa and Kate got inspired by our resident queen Mia. Fake marriage, calling her wife and falling in love, that's what brings me endorphins, and it wasn't different here. If you are sucker for punishment with a dash of angst, this book will punch you with it, there are heaps, but the ending is so much sweeter that way. Mia, you have done it again!
This book was a delightful surprise! I loved the slow build and the chemistry building was fantastic. I loved the entire cast of characters, and thoroughly enjoyed my time with this one. I truly can't get enough of Sheridan's writing.
Grayson may be a grump, but he's my kind of grump! She was the perfect sunshine to him as well. Would definitely recommend.
Loved this marriage of convenience story, I’ve been waiting ages for it to come out after seeing a tiktok of an excerpt.
In this story we meet down on her luck Kira who just needs a break. She’s not willing to ask for handouts or help. Insert Grayson who has a rocky past and is also looking for a lucky break.
The marriage of convenience suits them both to get what they need.
I loved this one, could t put it down. It was fast paced, told in dual POV and their relationship progressed naturally and realistically for me. 2 broken souls looking for their soulmate. Definitely recommend this book.
This one wound tightly in my core and would not relent until I finished. Enemies to lovers written in only a way Mia can write it. A rollercoaster of emotions that kept me wanting more!
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT, Archer will forever be my true love but Grayson is a close second! I CRIED and I laughed and it was just so goood.
Just read this already don’t think about it.
I absolutely adored this book and the banter between the characters. It was funny and heartwarming even though the ending and Gray realizing his mistake was a bit too much to read at times, I could have lived without that part.
Grayson's Vow was an artfully done marriage of convenience book where - surprise! - the main characters fall for each other, overcome meddling family, and live happily ever after.
What made this book stand out from other marriage of convenience books was the "let's get married to split the inheritance I can't otherwise access" aspect of the setup as well as the interactions between Kira and Grayson. The threads of connection between Kira and Grayson which seemed few and shallow at the beginning were revealed to be plentiful and deeper than either of them could have known.
I really liked the the dual POV where we get to dive deeper into each of their heads and experience as each of them fell and then fell apart.
Overall, an excellent book from Mia Sheridan.
