This book was about a marriage of convenience between Kira and Grayson.
Kira is trying to runaway from her life and her father, when she meets Grayson at bank after he was turned down for a loan. She approaches him the next day about getting married so they can help each other out. She tells him that if they get married she can get the money her grandma left her and she would be willing to give him half for the vineyard. Kira is always plotting and planning and loves people. Grayson works on a vineyard he inherited from his father, trying to bring it back to life. After learning of their pasts and what they both endured you come to understand why he is so guarded and why she is running. I do love their nicknames for each other he calls her little witch and she calls him dragon.
I really enjoyed this book and love a book where you can feel their emotions when they are going through it. I give this book 4.5 stars. Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this ARC for my honest review!!

It’s hard to put into words how I felt about this book. At the beginning, and sometimes throughout, I really loved the Beauty & the Beast vibes that this book gave. Grayson was so unpleasant, living at this ruined winery, left to him by his miserable father. Charlotte & Walter were like the Mrs. Potts & Cogsworth of the story, the “help” that’s always been with him. And Kira was…shockingly optimistic for a woman of her circumstances.

But sometimes in this story, I found the language to be extremely strange. First, the nicknames were both quite odd. Kira calling Grayson the Dragon and him calling her a Witch. Neither was romantic, both born from their hatred of each other, and they never *really* turned nice. They sort of remained these mean nicknames even as they fell in love. Also, there were other moments when it felt as though I was reading a historical romance instead of a contemporary one. I found it hard to believe that the characters were modern ones with cell phones and Wi-Fi.

Overall, it just wasn’t my favorite, even though I’ve loved other books by this author.

Well, I wanted to loved this one, but it was just okay read for me. The MMC just wasn't my cup of tea.

* marriage of convenience
* (somewhat) forced proximity
* slow burn
* enemies (to friends?) to lovers

My first book by the author, this read quickly and easily. I started off mostly enjoying this one, despite my thoughts on the issues galore seen in the behavior and words of Grayson.

That didn’t last, unfortunately, once I read more and discovered that I loathed Grayson. This type of MMC really doesn’t work for me.

I'm partial to any book that is set in a vineyard/winery but I absolutely devoured Grayson's Vow. Kira's desperation to gain access to an inheritance through marriage drives her to knock on the door of ex-convict (and "dragon" if you ask Kira) Grayson. Despite some initial doubts, he agrees and there begins a rocky marriage of convenience, The reader can feel the tension between the two of them coming off the page and it had me hooked from the beginning. As the begin to explore whether they could possibly have real feelings for each other, there are constant twists and turns getting in their way. The grumpy-sunshine vibes were immaculate and I absolutely recommend picking this up. It was the absolute perfect beach read for me!

I love Mia Sheridan so you know this book will also be great. This book follows a woman who needs to marry someone in order to get her inheritance and decides to split it with a man who has a bad reputation. At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this book by the style of the writing but I was wrong. I loved the storyline and thought it was very well written. I began to enjoy the different writing styles of Sheridan's as this one gave more of a classy style. The pacing was great and I enjoyed the small-town setting. The conflicts were well placed in the book and I enjoyed how this book was in dual perspective.

Kira is the FMC of this book and I enjoyed her character. She was fun, challenging, and such a caring person when it came to the world. At first, I was annoyed with her dialogue but got over it. She developed a lot throughout the book and thought she was well-written. Grayson is the MMC and let me tell you that this dude went through a lot until the end of the book. Once you know him, he's a caring person who wants the best for everyone around him and wants to be loved. I loved seeing his development with Kira and how he started to open up. There are many side characters in this book and I loved Charlotte who was so sweet and funny. The romance is a fake marriage, enemies to friends to lovers, and daddy issues with some steamy scenes. Honestly, at first, I couldn't see this couple together but they are made for each other.

The ending was cute and I really loved the epilogue. This book was great and I enjoyed so much of it. I recommend checking it out especially if you have read Sheridan's other books.

Mia Sheridan just happens to be the latest author I’ve discovered with a very bingeable backlist. GRAYSON’S VOW just happens to be the next up for re-release, so it moved up to the top of my TBR.

If you’ve ever read a Mia Sheridan book before, you likely already know to expect to find very relatable characters with difficult or troubled pasts. Here, we have Kira, a rich girl who has been emotionally and financially abused by her father. And Grayson, a felon who doesn’t believe in love. Kira needs to make a break from her controlling father, but she can only access her inheritance once she is married. Grayson needs money to recover his father’s dying vineyard. Kira comes up with a plan…for the two to marry and access the money, then divorce after one year. Of course, nothing will go as planned.

I loved this book, I loved the tension and the banter. Kira was stubborn and hardheaded and I loved that about her. She was a bit immature and flighty early on, but I think Grayson really needed that in his life. Plus, she shows a lot of growth by the end. Bonus points for being sooooooo slow burn!

Knocking of a star because 99% of the story was completely predictable. The most unpredictable parts was the humor!

One of the disappointing things about standalone romances like this is all the great side characters who are introduced, and we will never know their full story.

Must read for all Mia Sheridan fans…and any romance fans who like a little angst.

I’ve reread this story now 8 years later. Let me tell you that Mia Sheridan is the only author which I reread her stories. 6 stars must read

ARC gifted for an honest review

Reading a book that's written by Mia Sheridan is always a unparalleled and memorable adventure. Her stories always stays with me even after much time as past. But getting an ARC from one of my favourite amazing author, it was an exhilarating out of this world experience. This is my above 5 wonderful stars heartfelt review for Grayson's Vow.

This is a story that reached out and seeped through me from the very first page to the very last one. It grabbed my heart and soul and held on tight. This is a captivating story about despair, loneliness that turns into hope, love and happiness. She creates unique stories, characters, settings and contexts that are unforgettable. Emotions run high and you can feel the characters different feelings. Mia as a distinctive, remarkable and extraordinary way to tell a story. Mia is a truly gifted writer. Her love for writing is reflected in her stories.

This is a story about Grayson a.k.a. Dragon a felon whose had a difficult start in life. He's hopeless, despaired and has suffered every form of rejection imaginable. He's guarded with a thick layer. He does not trust very easily. He's arrogant and moody most of the time. He needs to turn his life in a more positive way by bringing the winery back to life. In order to do that he needs resources that are unattainable. He is faced yet again with a rejection in form of a loan. That is where Kira a.k.a. Witch makes him an " Very Bad Ideas" offer that is very difficult to refuse.

Kira literally storms into Grayson's life and sinks her hooks into his heart and doesn't let go. She is a free spirited, funny and light hearted young women. She loves life with passion even though she's had some hardship of her own. She forgives easily and finds the goodness in people. She will make Grayson realize that not all hope is lost. Kira is estranged from her father and ex fiancé who still tries to control her life.

" She needs love more than anything. The only thing that will hurt her is holding it back."

Together they are much stronger, they complete each other. They can conquer and defeat all that are against them. These two broken souls must make peace with the past in order to have a fulfilling future. They start out being sworn enemies that fight and bicker most of the time. It's quite funny and entertaining to read. But they are also attracted to each other. They have raw chemistry and are passionate.

The secondary characters played a major role in the progression of the story. They made an impact on me. They were all from different social backgrounds.

This story was beautifully written, it was an intense emotional journey . It was captivating and there was never a dull moment. Well worded and nicely paced. This story stayed with me days after reading it. Each page read was better than the last. I strongly recommend this book. I also would recommend all of her previous titles. This is a standalone with an HEA.

Grayson's Vow is a marriage of convenience between an heiress and an ex-con. Kira has a bad relationship with her father and she desperately needs the money her grandmother left her. But she needs to get married in order to access the money. Grayson's family vineyard is in shambles and his criminal record makes it impossible to get a loan. Both Kira and Grayson are in need of money. So they agree to a marriage of convenience that will benefit them financially.

This book started off as an easy breezy read, but it ended up being heavier than I had expected. There are definitely some cute and playful moments, but both Kira and Grayson have a lot of family issues. This is gonna sound weird, but I really enjoyed the toxic family drama 😂 It was very entertaining, at least the family drama on Kira's side. The family drama on Grayson's side made me sad though. He definitely got the short end of the stick.

Overall, this was a decent contemporary romance. I feel pretty neutral about the hero and heroine. Kira and Grayson each go through their respective character arc, which I appreciated. There's some groveling involved too because Grayson is an idiot who messes up a few times. Despite the character growth, I have to say that Kira and Grayson felt very stereotypical. There was something restrictive about their personalities, as if they were stuck playing the roles of manic pixie dream girl and asshole with daddy issues. It's like they had default personalities that prevented them from fully going outside of the box. My favourite characters were definitely Charlotte and Walter. Their relationship with Grayson was the best thing about this book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Grayson’s Vow is a novel by Mia Sheridan. Any book that Mia Sheridan writes is an instant read for me. Grayson and Kira are two broken souls entering a marriage of convenience. Kira does this to escape the clutches of her abusive father. Grayson, a convicted felon, does it to revive his family’s struggling vineyard.

Grayson and Kira are two of the most poetic, organic, haunting souls I have ever read. Grayson’s life has been filled with dejection, abuse, and strife. Grayson has ignored any hint of affection instead focusing on the hate and neglect he has suffered from those who should have loved him most. Grayson lashes out before he thinks things through, as a protective mechanism. I, at times, wanted to hate Grayson for how he reacted, yet I couldn’t hate such a broken, lonely, confused man. My heart bled for Grayson.

If Grayson is all shadows, Kira is all light. Kira also comes from a disaster of a family, yet she has learned to embrace positivity and fill the dark cracks with warmth and love. Kira is pure sunshine. However, she hatches these outrageous plans that usually get her into trouble. Kira also has been stripped bare emotionally like Grayson, yet she reacts the total opposite of him. Kira’s strength blew me away. I must devote one sentence to Sugar Pie – I fell in love with her at her first bark!

I will warn you that Grayson and Kira’s journey is not an easy one. Fraught with mistrust, cruelty, and doubt, this vulnerable, hauntingly beautiful love story stole my breath. Mia Sheridan tears down the emotional walls of her characters, leaving nothing but bare souls in the wake. She then builds them back up with the goodness and love within us, no matter how deeply buried. One person’s loving actions can create a cacophony of goodwill that touches dozens of lives. Not everyone is good, but it is the love that the good people create that alters us for the better. Boiled down, this book shows us the unstoppable force love can be; it can break down any ugly barrier if only we let it in. Grayson’s Vow and its uplifting message and unforgettable love story will stick with me for a very long time. This is romance perfection!

In just the short time of reading anything written by Mia Sheridan, there hasn’t been a single book of her’s that I haven’t wholeheartedly loved.

Grayson’s Vow wasn’t any different and it was the epitome of the grumpy/sunshine trope and I loved the heck out of it! The main characters had been through some hard things in their lives but the hardest obstacle that they had to overcomes was for sure themselves.

If you’re looking for short and cute read with a tiny dash of angst make sure you check this one out!

I have read and loved other books by Mia Sheridan so maybe my expectations were a bit high for this book. Sadly I didn't love this book. While I liked the storyline and the female main character. I just didn't care for the male main character. I found myself rolling my eyes at things he would say and do. Overall this was an okay read. Nothing memorable in my opinion.

Kira Dallaire needs to marry quickly so that she can access the inheritance that her late grandmother left her and escape her wealthy but abusive father. So, she decides to propose a business arrangement with Grayson Hawthorne, which involves them marrying. A convicted felon with limited funds and a struggling family vineyard, he agrees to the arrangement. Neither of them realised that their arrangement might turn into some more - a happily ever after.
Whilst two polar opposite characters, together they do work. Kira is an optimist and kind-hearted despite her family background. Grayson has a tough exterior and I found myself warming to him, more slowly. Yet, the character of Kira works her charm on him, and smooths over the stern manner of Grayson. An enjoyable romance.

I can't believe I hadn't read this book til now. I have seen it floating around, but hadn't ever picked it up. So I am grateful to have been able to review it now!

“Today may be a very bad day, but tomorrow may be the best day of your life. You just have to hang on until you get there.”

It truly is amazing watching two people coming together after both have went through bad relationships. The character growth between the two of them was great. I am such a sucker for a marriage of convenience trope so this was right up my alley.

Mia really knows how to bring out all the emotions out of you when you are reading her books. There isn't a stone left unturned. You truly get to feel all the feels that these characters feels!

Over all I really enjoyed this book.

I took a long time to get into this book. I have been reading lots of similar books lately and this one just didn't hold my interest long enough sadly. The first few chapters felt like a chore but the writing was great.

"Her eyes met mine, large and full of wonder, as green as grassy, rolling hills in soem misty, mythical land that I'd stumbled upon in a dream. My beautiful little witch- there was magic inside her. Sweet secrets and hidden wells of strength. She could transform what had once been dark into light. I'd never again look at the maze and not think about her walking toward me in the moonlight with a look of love on her face as she reached out her hand."

Kira Dallaire is impulsive and desperate... both of which led her to making a deal with Grayson Hawthorne, whos even more desperate than she is. When the only way to get her inheritance is to get married, she finds the one person she knows cant turn down the amount she's offering.

Archer's Voice is one of my favorite books so I am on a mission to read through Mia Sheridan's books. I will be honest and say this book too a while for me to get into. I am generally a fan of marriage of convenience and grumpy x sunshine but I didn't care much for the characters.

Mia Sheridan does a GREAT job with plot and building characters story lines to be super intense and emotional. I wish I liked these characters more because they had such interesting stories. Grayson's behavior and attitude toward Kira was so off putting for so much of the book, and it didn't feel justified. Once we got the ball rolling on their chemistry and that forced proximity, I loved the bits where we see his start to fall for her.

I think Kira was a hot mess. Understandably, but her decisions had me questioning my sanity. She didn't read like an adult woman, which is weird to say. I do like that her bubbliness and general chaos balanced out Graysons crabby persona.

Overall, it was a fine read. If you're a fan of marriage of convenience definitely give it a shot, but I wanted more warm and fuzzies.

Kira has an inheritance waiting for her, but with one of those stipulations that we all love to hate: she has to be married to get it. Grayson has been left his family's vineyard upon his father's death and the only thing he wants is to be able to turn it around and prove something to the father that never approved of him. But to do that he needs money, and as an ex-con he isn't having luck getting a loan from anyone.

Enter the ever popular marriage of convenience, and splitting the inheritance, giving each person what they need. Of course it's never that simple, but Mia Sheridan spins a gorgeous enemies to lovers story that had me binge reading it all in one sitting.

Grayson and Kira are so much more than they each appear to each other. Misunderstandings and snap judgements abound in their story, and watching them peel back the layers of each other was the best part of this book. Watching them learn that beyond the sexual chemistry that they feel for each other, they also have wounds that lie far below the surface that make them perfect for each other.

If you love the angst and heat of Mia Sheridan's other books, then you won't be disappointed by this one. Another gorgeous story by one of my favorite story tellers!

Thank you to Bloom Books for providing me with an ARC of this book.

There is nothing Mia Sheridan does better than angsty swoon-worthy romance. I absolutely adored this book. I kept putting off reading it but once I picked it up, I could not put it down. The banter and chemistry between sweet and sassy Kira and broody Grayson are everything.

Kira is desperate after having left the life she was used to and Grayson was trying to save the one he is trying to rebuild. Together the two plot out a crazy scheme (thank you Kira!) and it soon turns into something neither of them expected. Each of these characters has so much past to unpack it’s truly amazing that they found each other when they each needed something they weren’t sure of.

Every Mia Sheridan book I pick up grasps me from the start and keeps me sucked in until well after I have closed the book.

I know that not all romance is meant to be realistic, but this one was just a little too far past believable for me. Grayson was kind of just a jerk, and Kira wasn’t super likable either. The tension and the build was good, but overall just not for me.
