I absolutely adored the characters in this book. The story line was absolutely amazing as well. I just loved this book all the way around!

So I’m a huuuge animal lover. I also worked as a volunteer for a cat rescue organization, fostering at home. When I first read the description of this book I couldn’t resist making it a must read in my pile!
The Cosy Cat Society takes you in the journey of the life of the volunteers at an animal shelter and how they go through different struggles while supporting each other and being connected on the communality of being cat lovers.
Overall the story seemed mellow, I’d probably recommend this as a beach read. The plot isn’t over complicated and somewhat predictable but nevertheless heartwarming. I very much enjoyed my reading, only wishing I was taken a bit deeper on the life, stories and experiences of some of the cats. I was very much expecting that to happen but sadly that wasn’t the case.
It’s a 3,5 out of 5 stars for me. If you are looking for a heartwarming, cat loving people, and breezy storyline to pass the time, this is for you!
Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of the book in exchange of my honest review.
Thank you to Netgalley, Hera and Charlie Lyndhurst for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
As a cat lover, when I saw this book I knew I had to read it so I was super excited when I got approved.
I enjoyed the story, and following the lives of the workers at this cat sanctuary. I noticed a few spelling/grammar errors but not sure if that was just related to how Charlie was writing his style.
Overall an enjoyable novel
The motley crew of volunteers at the Fluffy Paws Cat Sanctuary join together, not only to help each other through hard times but to save the cat sanctuary from closing. This is a charming book about friendship that everyone will enjoy, not just cat lovers. I would have given this book a higher rating if there had been more interaction between the characters and cats and less about the relationship between Paul and Luke. Thanks to author Charlie Lyndhurst, Hera Books, and NetGalley. I received a complimentary copy of this ebook. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
As a cat owner & a cat lover this book was right up my street & I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks for the opportunity to read & review it.
4.5 stars!!
This was such a fun read. I love cats, and am not ashamed to admit it. I also love to read, so reading about a group of strangers who met at a cat sanctuary and come together to overcome their difficulties was exactly what I needed. This was the coziest read I've read in a while and I absolutely think it's perfect as a fall or winter read in front of the fire place. I loved every single character, which is rare for me.
Thank You NetGalley for this ARC.
I was very excited about this book as I really love cats, who doesn't?
Five people come together each in their own walk of life and with their own problems, seeking refuge amongst cats at Fluffy Paws Cat Sanctuary. Follow their struggles, loss, budding love, and more in this story of friendship.
The premise and overall story was quite nice, however it felt a bit flat for me. I didn't see a whole lot of dimension in the characters and dialogue. Bit of a rocky start but definitely picked up as it went on.
Overall would recommend.
I don't usually read romance or fluffy novels. But I had to read this one because...cats. they made the story. I ended up enjoying it and would recommend for when you want a light, uplifting novel.
A story of friendship, cats and budding love affairs. Based around a cat sanctuary, Fluffy Paws, the story weaves together several friends stories as they struggle with money, finding a birth parent, rescuing and re homing cats, as well as looking for a new home for the cat sanctuary when the landlord sells their current base out from under them. Mostly enjoyable although felt a little disjointed in places, struggled to get into the book until over half way through. Lovely to read a book about cats though.
Review in progress and to come.
I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review
Although I am a dog person I’m still an animal lover at heart. The Cosy Cat Society is the purrfect read… I had 2! It brings a bunch of different people together going through difficult times in their lives and the cat society helps bring them together. I loved the premise and the writing style. I feel like everyone has a distinct voice and it was a very enjoy read! Highly recommend
