I didn't realise this was part of a series but I didn't feel that was a problem (having not read anything else in the series). It's a cosy mystery with some good twists and I would happily go back and read others in the series based on this.

Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Michele Pariza Wacek

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

Amazing how Charlie once again gets mixed up in a murder, especially in the middle of the night. Her teas were almost in trouble, but she worked it out that it wasn't her since we know she only does good with her teas for her clientele that she has alot of followers for her tea, why would dhe do something to harm her business.

I thought the cover design was cute, colourful and charming, and I hoped this would be a book that I enjoyed.

This was an enjoyable cosy mystery, and a lot of fun. I warmed to the characters quickly, and tea was an important theme in the story, which was something that I appreciated. I'm not sure if this is part of a series, but if it is, I may be interested in reading more books featuring these characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a free copy to review.

I enjoyed this book, a nice cosy murder mystery which was great to read. It is the first book I have read from the series and I don't feel that it mattered that I had not read any of the others. Well written and fast paced.

First, I want to say thank you for letting me read the ARC of Red Hot Murder. I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and it kept me on my toes until the very end! Charlie is "The Tea Lady,, and she makes special blends of tea. Cherry asks for an emergency special order of her tea. And BAM! her fiance is killed and Cherry can't remember anything!! So who killed Marcus? Cherry? Charlie, "the tea lady?" Lola? Or someone else?? Red Hot Murder drops bread crumbs throughout the book until you find the killer. This book is part of a series. It's #6. I'd like to see how the other books fit together with this one. This is my first book by Michele Pariza Wacek. And even though this is the 6th book in the series, I didn't have any trouble or missing pieces with the characters or etc.

Red Hot Murder is an excellent light read. Charlie's tea customer, Cherry, calls in the middle of the night and is confused about what happened to her fiancé, Marcus. It seems as if Charlie is the culprit because Cherry had her custom blend tea and now she can't remember anything! I truly enjoyed Charlie, Pat & Tilde. I could clearly picture them and their personalities. I also like the developing relationship between Wyle and Charlie. I can't wait to see where their relationship goes. Plus, having all the other characters who could potentially be the culprits keeps you guessing until the very end. I had never read any Charlie Kingsley books and was able to jump right in without the feeling of being lost. I appreciate that. I will go back and read every book from the series because I enjoyed this book so much.

Thank you to BookSirens and Michele Pariza Wacek for the opportunity to honestly review this eARC.

This was my first book by this author. Although this book is the 6th book in a series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone and I didn’t feel like I had missed anything I needed to know for this storyline.

The main character, Charlie, gets involved in solving a local murder after one of her customers calls her in the middle of the night after finding her fiancé dead.

I enjoyed this ‘who done it’ style mystery and I wasn’t entirely sure who I suspected. I enjoyed the outcome and the reveal was done well. I wouldn’t say there was a huge amount of suspense or excitement to it though… I wasn’t really eager to solve it. But I enjoyed following along as Charlie investigated the victims friendship group and fiancé.

Overall, a nice cosy mystery which was a light hearted easy read. I’d probably read more from this author in the future too.

3/3.5 stars. Review to follow on Instagram.com/louisekathryn.reads this week.

Charlie’s number one job is making tea and solves mysteries on the side as the police department of Redemption seem to need her help. When Charlie’s last-minute order for her tea by Cherry is found to be a murder weapon Charlie becomes number one suspect. She needs to delve into the lives of a very dysfunctional group to find a murderer. An easy cozy mystery to read with interesting characters will lead you easily into the next story in the series.
Thank you NetGalley and (publisher) for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

A HUGE thank you to NetGalley and Michele Pariza Wacek for an advanced copy of Red Hot Murder!

This was such a fun and cozy little mystery and I couldn't put it down. Charlie finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation when her friend/customer Cherry's fiance is found murdered. Charlie then finds herself involved as a suspect which means she needs to solve the case in order to clear her own name.

Red Hot Murder is part of a series but can easily be read as a standalone. All of the characters were well written and gave a small town, everyone knows everyone and everyone's business kind of vibe which I love.

The story was extremely well written, and easy to follow while also leaving the reader guessing until the end.

Easily a 4 star read and I plan on reading the rest of the series!

The first thing I like about this book is that it is quite short and sometimes I just need a good short book to read. Having said that I enjoyed the story, the mystery and the characters immensely.

I love that it revolves around tea (one of my great joys in life) and Charlie is the perfect character for this book and story. It is such and easy book to read but has the depth, twists and turns, humour and fun that I would expect from a book such as this one.

Very entertaining and a book that will now lead me to find and read other books by this author. I really enjoyed it and would like to thank NetGalley and Love-Based Publishing for giving me the chance to read and review this book.

Red Hot Murder is my first Charlie Kingsley story, the cover caught my eye ❤️ this is a murder mystery set in the town of Redemption (love the name + there are hints of witchcraft), Charlie as the owner of a tea shop, also solves crimes for her customers which I find really sweet.

I found the plot a little complicated but the wrap up was really satisfying and I love how none of the characters held hard feelings for one another even though there were much bickering and confrontations leading up to the reveal.

Even though this is book 6, I have no problem reading it as a standalone although I’m sure you’ll be able to relate to some of the supporting characters more if you read the previous books.

This was definitely one of my favs from the series! I fell for Charlie in the secrets of redemption series and started reading this series while I waited for the next release. I have been pleasantly surprised with this series as a whole. In this book in particular I was shocked at the twist ending (high praise since I’m quick to guess the endings in most books I read). I’m even more excited now for the next book! Definitely recommend!

Set in the small town of Redemption, a young woman, Cherry, finds her fiancé dead in her kitchen late at night. She only remembers parts of the early evening and calls on her friend, Charlie to help solve the mystery of her missing memory and the murder. Charlie is initially reluctant to get drawn into solving the case until her reputation and livelihood come under threat and she is implicated in the murder.

The characters and their relationships are gradually introduced as the
Intrigue unfolds. The town itself also has a character with a dark history and undercurrents of witchcraft.

The story kept me engaged throughout. As the mystery concludes there are hints of secrets untold and I’m now awaiting with eager anticipation the next instalment of the Charlie Kingsley Mysteries.

I enjoyed this book although I found the murder to be overly complicated. It is a little hard to keep track of everything going on. I wasn’t that surprised by who the killer is as it had to be someone in that group, they’re all dysfunctional. #RedHotMurder #NetGalley.
