Imagine a perfect world where the neighborhood is nice, the economy is thriving, the schools are great, and everyone is wonderful. But the residence is going missing. A typical day in the neighborhood, right? What the residence of this city doesn't know is that someone is carefully watching their every move from the shadows. This book has it all, Horror, Fantasy, Mystery with a touch of Sci-Fi. A mixed bag of genres all in one to make an exciting story. Excitingly written plot and well written characters, the premise brings the reader in, and the story grabs your attention and will not let you go until the very end.

I had a feeling I wouldn’t enjoy his book but that turned out to be wrong. I loved the combination of a rich family with too much power & access to state of the art technology while ordinary people were trying to live their lives or act out of character and children mysteriously disappeared (or returned).
A few times I felt like I was reading something aimed at the teenage market but I think this was due to the use of a few words I associate with that age group. I still enjoyed the book and really lost myself inside it a few times. Only downside was the cliff hanger ending!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a free digital copy of the book in return for an honest review.
At the beginning of this book, I told my husband, "If thus turns out to be about aliens, I will be so pissed." Well.
Just really not for me. I don’t know what else to say. The writing didn’t engage me and I wasn’t compelled to care.
4.5 stars
This was dark and exciting. Fast paced and unputdownable. It was written very well and completely took over my life for a full day. The only bummer now is the wait for season 2
A thrilling tale that takes place on an island controlled by the elite.
There are mysteries within mysteries and I kept trying to guess what was really going on. Some sections were shocking and disturbing and the overall story had an ominous air about it.
Some of the characters I wasn’t totally into, and at times I did get a little frustrated with what they were doing.
Thank you to the authors, NetGalley, and Sterling & Stone for a copy!
I'm kind of going back and forth on this one.
I really enjoyed it, but I'm not ready to take the plunge into book 2 yet.
The book is super fast paced, with short chapters that keep you reading. I also liked our characters - most of them - and found myself worrying for them.
However, some of the clues of what's really happening aren't really appealing to me.
I've downloaded the sample for book 2, but it's kind of an 'I'll get to it when I get to it' thing.
But I did enjoy the read and found it entertaining.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-copy. The opinion in my own.
The chapters are short and episodic, with an overarching plot that is just barely touched upon. The readers are left waiting for more much like a season's finale, with a big hook at the epilogue.
Many questions rise during the book: What's truly happening on the island? Why did the school teacher shoot his students? Whats does the Conway family really doing? etc, etc.
There are several POVs throughout with many personalitis and group ages, and it's a book that is easy to follow.
Wow, what a wild read! I loved every moment of it! I loved the characters and all of the weirdness. So many questions that I look forward to being answers in season two and season three!
Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
White Space (Season 1) is a compilation of episodes 1-6 of the sci-fi/thriller by Sean Platt and David W. Wright. I loved the serial style of this one which make it feel like watching episodes of a tv show. The mysterious plot hooks you right away. Trigger warning for school shootings. The story itself is told across multiple POV (quite a few) and gives glimpses also into some past events. I really enjoyed this chilling, fun to read story and am looking forward to reading Seasons 2 and 3.
