Managing the Matthews is more work than one person can handle. Kell needs a break, professionally and personally, from all the brothers.
The Matthews - Ryan, Ash, and Jonah - are Kell's clients. She handles their schedules while Judith, their agent, books them auditions/jobs. Ash and Kell have known each other since college, and they always said that their friendship would last beyond the professional relationship they have. Once Ryan starts playing a secretive game with Judith and Jonah can't seem to stop swearing on family TV stations, it's up to Kell to come to a decision if what she really wants is to manage the brothers anymore.
Through many miscommunications, this fake dating, friends-to-lovers, close proximity story is as much heartwarming as it is heartbreaking. Mental and physical health challenges are also at the forefront, taking this story up another notch. While complete character backgrounds aren't fully flushed out, there are enough personality traits described to make each character likeable and unlikeable in their own way.

This was an engaging story that I had a hard time putting down. It was an interesting twist on a story with a reality tv plot.
Such a fun and happy read. Stuck in between three brothers, Kell seems to be pulled every which way while dealing with work and her feelings. This book is a light, fun and an enjoyable read.
Enjoyable and easy read that gripped me form beginning to end. Does exactly what it says in the tin and is written in an easy to follow manner, a great beach read.
I should know by now that love triangles just aren’t for me. This book isn’t bad, but it just didn’t work for me.
This was a cute celebrity inspired romance with lots of tropes (fake dating, friends brother). I liked the celerity world and the nod to the Jonas Brothers (without it being too closely related). Cute, easy read.
I liked it at first but then it slipped into too many cliches for me. I already hate love triangles in general but this whole falling for the 'wrong' brother first just to realize you loved the other brother who conveniently was also your best friend the whole time, it‘s a no from me.
Ash did seem great but this whole vibe made me dislike the book too much that even he couldn’t safe it for me.
Also too much drama!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an earc
This book made my fangirl-loving (and fan fiction-reading) heart happy. After reading the book blurb about MANAGING THE MATTHEWS, I knew it was everything I could have hoped for. Famous brothers with a reality TV show are managed by their best friend, but no one knows she is in love with one of them.
It was a quick, easy read that made me happy. I can’t ask for much more than that!
Thanks, CamCatBooks and Netgalley, for the gifted book!
Really enjoyed this book. The back and forth banter made it hard to put down. I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next. I liked that Kell had to find herself in order to truly find happiness with Ash.
📖My Thoughts📖
Cute. Fun. Entertaining. Romance. Falling out. Happily ever after ending. All the ingredients for a romantic comedy. What’s different about this one? We’ve seen the whole Hollywood star trope before, but this one was a bit different. Ash is a celebrity and Kell, she isn’t just some common civilian or fan crazed follower that just upon luck found their way into a celebs heart. For one, she’s the manager of the three Matthews brothers, and she actually starts out totally crushing on one of the brothers. This is a friends to lovers, to enemy’s, and right back to friends and then lovers again(of course, because we can’t have a sad ending).
What I liked about this book: It was a cute and fun read, that gave me some chuckles. It was an easy book to follow along with that manifested some light hearted romance.
What I wish had been included: I would have liked the author to have gone a little more in depth with the characters backgrounds as well as adding a little more detail to the relationships as they stood at present day. I think it would have added a little more to the overall storyline.
Despite feeling like there was a little something missing from this book, I really enjoyed reading it. I think it’s a great beach/lake/poolside read, or a rainy day bundled up in a blanket book.
Thank you Netgalley, Haleigh Wenger and CamCat Books for the opportunity to read and review this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Unfortunately, I have not had the time and opportunity to read the book.
I hope to do so soon as the premise appeals to me.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC. My apologies for not getting the book read and reviewed yet. Life has a way of going differently than expected. :)
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
Managing the Matthews by Haleigh Wenger is a slow burn best friends to lovers romance. Who doesn't love a Hollywood, famous person romance!?! It's always a fun look into the otherside. I loved Kell and Ash. They weren't suppose to be together but they were perfect for eachother.
This was a fun Jonas brothers-esque celebrity, friends to lovers, slow burn, fake dating, dual POV romance between Kell, the manager of a group of three famous actor brothers who gets wrapped up in fake dating one of them in an attempt to help them land a new reality tv show deal.
Unbeknownst to everyone though she's secretly had a long-time crush on action hero brother Ryan, while its the quieter brother Ash who's been in love with her all along. Full of pining, drama and real heart with great disability rep (she has Crohn's). I really enjoyed this latest from a new to me author that was also good on audio narrated by Lisa Larsen and Alex Knox.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review. I'm excited to read more by Haleigh Wenger and recommend this for fans of books like Dating you/hating you by Christina Lauren.
This book is a great beach-type read, one to really relax your brain. It is Jonas brothers inspired slow-burn romance. Also I am a sucker for a friends to lovers, and a fake dating trope so I was all in!
Kell is a manager for the Matthews brothers Ash, Jonah and Ryan. Ash is a rom-com star, Ryan is the great action hero, and Jonah is a sport star, but what no one knows is that she is beyond the moon in love with one of them.
Plot of the book is in times predictable, but I really didn't mind that, it had some of my favorite tropes in it, it was relaxing, it was warm, and it was a perfectly comfy read for a summer beach day.
this was a really cute book!
thank you to the author, netgalley, and the publisher for this advanced copy to review!
Drama Bros
Kell & Ash have been friends since college. She helped him and his brothers break into the acting world. But things are about to break when Kell is about to break. She's exhausted with their dramatics & schedules and now a reality show which she knows can be a career-breaking step.
Now more than just friends feelings could definitely be the final nail in her professional coffin.
It was all just okay for me.
(I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley)
This was a good romance, but it was just a little bit too slow burn for my taste. I think those that like that trope will enjoy it.
Kell Simmons became a talent manager when her best friend in college, Ash, became a rom-com actor and then his brothers also got in the business. She does absolutely everything for them and it leaves her personal life in shambles, particularly because she's been in love with the older brother, Ryan, for years. She's accepted that her life comes second and lets Ryan string her along until he announces that he's engaged to a fan and he signed them all up for a reality TV show. It's then that things come to a head and she's forced to really look at where her life is and where it's headed. There's also her relationships with the Matthews brothers, mainly her best friend, Ash. They'd agreed in college that they were just friends, but could it be that the feelings she's always had for him run deeper than she let herself believe?
It's a solid romance that plays with the Hollywood and fame trope pretty well, but it also didn't feel particularly original or engaging. I enjoyed reading it but had no issue with leaving to do something else and don't feel compelled to recommend it.
Thank you to NetGalley and CamCat Books for the read!
This book was such a fun read. I loved that it's a different setting than what im used to reading about. The world of the famous is always so exclusive and this gives a closer look.
I really enjoy a good friends to lovers as well, especially with these lovable characters, who have kind of been idiots not to notice they love each other.
Overall totally recommend!
