When I heard this was Jonas Brothers inspired, I had to request the ARC! And although the three brothers in the book are actors, not musicians, I really enjoyed reading their story and getting a glimpse into their Hollywood life.
The romance was fun and sweet (friends-to-lovers, fake-dating, fade to black), and it left me wanting more! (Can we have a season 2, please? 😁)

This was a fun read with definite Jonas brothers vibes so if you are a fan you'll enjoy this one. It fell a bit flat for me but is a good solid read that will entertain you!

I really enjoyed this book. All I knew about the book before reading it was that it involved a reality TV show and that drew me in. I liked how the book was dual POV because it gave more insight in the relationships between the brothers. I haven't read a ton of friends-to-lovers books but I didn't think this one was bad. I liked the internal thoughts of Kell and Ash but also it did seem to lead to miscommunication, which I wasn't the biggest fan of. I did also think they could have had a little more chemistry.

I also liked the representation of chronic illness in this book. I've seen reviews where people wished that they talked about the illness more, but I thought that the author did a good job of shedding light on the chronic illness and how it affected Kell's job, but also didn't make an entire separate plotline about her chronic illness either, as I think that would have taken more away from the romance aspect.

Overall, I did really enjoy this book. Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC. These thoughts are 100% my voluntary opinion.

The novel presents an intriguing premise with its inside look into the world of Hollywood stardom and reality TV. It explores popular romance tropes such as 'friends to lovers' and 'fake dating'. However, the novel may not fully satisfy readers who seek multifaceted characters and unexpected plot twists. A predictable narrative trajectory, coupled with a lack of distinct character voices and setting descriptions, somewhat diminishes the immersive quality of the story.

Despite this, the novel remains a light and entertaining read, showcasing the author's straightforward narrative style. Although not deeply explored, the inclusion of a character with Crohn's disease is a commendable attempt to bring visibility to chronic illnesses within popular literature. Overall, while "Managing the Matthews" may not present a revolutionary take on the romance genre, it provides a comfortable and entertaining experience for those seeking a relaxed, leisurely read.

Thanks to publisher and netgalley for the arc!

I thought this was interesting plot to have female friend manager of three actors/personalities. Loved Ash so much he was adorable and ahhh just love this tropeeeee he was seriously the best and swooniest. Adore a simp caring man who pays attention and is always there for you.

While I love hated the love triangle it worked out in everyone's favor. Kell was a mess and annoying towards end I understood her reasoning to a point but at same time it pissed me off and made no sense.

Big thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read Haleigh Wenger's Managing the Matthews. I was extremely excited going into this book because the premise seemed adorable. Kell is a twenty-something manager for three equally attractive and successful Hollywood stars and ends up in a friends to lovers situation. While I really enjoyed the idea of the book, I just couldn't fully get excited while I was reading it. I felt like the characters and the storyline all lacked a certain kind of depth. I wasn't able to relate or root for any single character except maybe Claudette because, let's face it, she was amazing.

Kell and Ash are meant to be the two main characters but I found myself wanting more from them. I wanted a depth to their relationship or some kind of chemistry that I felt wasn't there. I also felt the pacing was a bit off as the first 60% or so of the book didn't have much going on -- there was no conflict, no relationship building -- it was more of just trudging through their day to day lives.

I'd be excited to see some sort of sequel that explored more of their relationship as well as more of the other two brothers, especially since the ending (while a complete ending) did leave room for continuing the story.

I gave this book 4.5/5 out of 5 stars. I deducted for the spice that was relatively mild! This was a great story! I love reading about Kell and Ash! The build up to the end was worth it ! Remember ladies, assholes don’t deserve your blueberry muffins.

I was excited to read Managing the Matthews, but unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. While the book description features some of my favorite tropes, I wish the story had more depth and development. Overall, this book was an okay read.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. The idea of three famous brothers, who (mostly - being very specifically 2/3) manage to be endearing was shocking. The reader can't help but root for Ash and Kell, and the added support of Jonah and Jessie really made this book pop. Ms. Wenger found herself a new reader for whatever she puts out next!

I really wanted to love this one, but it just didn't work for me...the story was a teensy bit flat for my taste.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. All views expressed are my own.

This book reminds me of To Love Jason Thorn without the spice. I liked the a slow burn romance and love triangle.

The plot potential— 3 famous brothers, a reality TV show, and a little girl boss-ing—was great. There are a few places that the book felt a bit stale and one dimensional, however, everything Ash made up for it…he was wonderful!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% my own.

Kell is the manager of celebrity brothers the Matthews. She’s been friends with middle brother Ash since college and has a crush on oldest brother Ryan. When Ryan announces his engagement to a fan, a series of events leads to the Matthews getting a reality show. As part of this reality show, Kell and Ash agree to fake date for the drama.

I loved the slow burn romance between Kell and Ash and all of the tropes that were present in this book. Jonah and Jessie were really fun, and reasonable side characters who I wished had been explored further.

There was a missed opportunity in not exploring Kell’s chronic illness further.

I’m really hoping the author writes a sequel to the book following Ryan, and maybe Samantha as a second chance romance.

When I saw the author’s dedication to the Jonas Brothers, I had a good feeling about this book!

Kell is the manager for a trio of brothers that are all actors in Hollywood. She and Ash, the middle brother, have been best friends since college, but up until now, she’s only been romantically interested in Ryan, the oldest brother. The story jumps between Kell and Ash’s narration as they navigate Hollywood and the filming of the brothers new reality show.

The storyline was predictable but incredibly enjoyable. I loved Kell’s character, particular the portrayal of her strength while navigating an autoimmune disease, which is something you don’t see often in stories.

My only critiques are that the timeline jumps between chapters was hard to follow at times and that I wish Ash’s narration hadn’t dropped off towards the end (I was super curious what he was going through during that time too).

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

The Matthews brothers, Ryan, Ash and Jonah managing them is a full time job for Kell. Ash and Kell have been best friends since college and from the moment he said the he wanted to act. Kell knew she wanted to manage him. Enter the other two brothers - Ryan, who Kell has had a crush on since she can remember and Jonah the baby brother who’s a sportscaster that continues to get into trouble because of his foul language. Ryan continually causes issues from surprise proposing to a fan that he’s met once and to signing up for a reality show that he hasn’t spoken to the rest of them about. To spice things up on the reality show Ash and Kell pretend to be in a relationship, but do they truly have feelings or is it all a ruse.

I enjoyed this book and connected with Ash and Kell. I was rooting for Kell to find her way and what she wants to do with her life. Ash I wanted him to win the girl and have the movies that he really wanted to make.

Thank you #NetGalley for the advance copy

I didn’t like this book as much as I wanted to. The characters weren’t well rounded enough for me and the plot just fell flat. I don’t need my books overly complicated, but I needed more from this.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC.

BLURB: Nothing’s real on reality TV—or is it?

Everyone knows Kell Simmons manages the Matthews brothers, the three hottest stars in Hollywood: action hero Ryan, romantic lead Ash, and sports star Jonah. But no one knows that she’s hopelessly in love with one of them.

When Ryan’s surprise engagement to a fan just about breaks Kell’s heart, Ash, himself unhappily in love, lends his shoulder to cry on. All this is great fodder for the brothers' very own reality TV show, and soon the days of their lives are filled with scripted dates, fake drama, and real heartache—all in front of a camera.

As the brothers’ popularity skyrockets into the stratosphere, Kell finds herself wondering how much, if any, of the spotlight she wants, if it means foregoing real love for fun and games on TV.

REVIEW: This friends-to-lovers, fake relationship should have been perfect for me, two of my favourite tropes together, instead, I found it lacking.

There are huge chunks of the book that are ‘missing’ or which occur off the page, and is then only explained with one or two lines. The main male character is rather unlikeable, and the main female character has a medical condition that is named but never really explained, which seems like a missed opportunity.

Overall, an okay read, but not for me.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this in return for my honest review.

I was immediately intrigued by the premise of this story. It's not often you come across plots where there's a reality show being filmed in the background, and it was interesting to see how things go from that POV.

Ash Matthew's is an adorable marshmallow, and you can't help but root for him from the start. Meanwhile, Kell is determined and likeable, but tends to go straight for the negatives. The immediate assumptions and thoughts she jumps to can make you roll your eyes, but it's not entirely off-putting.

This was an easy read with a satisfactory ending for the characters.

This is my first book by Haleigh Wenger. I was intrigued by the concept but unfortunately there were parts that just fell a little flat for me. I wish there was more character development. I felt the story moved kind of slow and because of that I struggled through it.

I was really excited to dive into Managing the Matthews, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. While the concept of a reality TV show featuring three Hollywood heartthrobs and their manager's romantic entanglements was intriguing, the execution fell flat. The plot felt overly contrived and predictable, and the characters lacked the depth and nuance I was hoping for.

Kell, the protagonist, is hopelessly in love with one of the Matthews brothers, but her unrequited feelings are overshadowed by the scripted drama and fake dates cooked up for the show. While there were some touching moments between Kell and the brothers, especially Ash, the love triangle felt forced and unconvincing - and at times, a little bit like she was going after her backup plan.

Overall, Managing the Matthews was an okay read, but nothing to write home about. I appreciated the author's attempt to explore the blurred lines between reality and entertainment, but I found myself wishing for more substance and less spectacle. I would give this book 2.5 stars.
