Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reading copy! This book took me a little bit to get into, but once I submitted to the plot, I found this to be a fun read. Beat and Melody are the kids of rock legends, and they work together on a streaming reality show to get their mom’s band back together; all while chaos and romance commences! So there were things I really liked about this book and things I hated about this book lol, but I am ultimately giving it 4 stars because I liked the pacing and the “getting the band back together” plot, with the reuniting friendship between the two moms being sweet and interesting to me. I also really liked parts of Melody and Beat’s romance. I didn’t mind the edging though it was overdone, and I didn’t mind the intense attraction that also got a little overdone. Overall, this is not my favorite work from Bailey, BUT I had fun reading it for the most part, so I do recommend it. I would say it’s light holiday romance, high steam (like all of Bailey’s books). Overall, I recommend for fans of Bailey, holiday romances, and high steam.

This was a cute holiday romance!
I really enjoyed the plot and thought it was an original idea. The romance was very cute and felt genuine. There were some parts of the book that felt a little slow.

My book club chose this book for our December holiday read and I was so excited for a holiday theme from one of my favorite authors.
While this book was not realistic at all, it was still an enjoyable and different take on a holiday trope with the spice I expect from Tessa Bailey.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book from both of the main character’s perspectives and appreciated the male lead had self awareness in his insecurity/issues and was actively trying to avoid putting those on the female lead (successfully or not).
If you’re looking for a lighthearted, slightly spice holiday book that doesn’t have the small town love story of a Hallmark movie, I highly recommend Wreck the Halls!

I love Tessa Baileys writing. This book was no different. It was an easy romance to follow and kept me intrigued the whole time. Overall, a great romance book to read this holiday season.
Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read an arc of this book.

This book lacked so much depth. I never believed that these two characters should be together. There should've been flashback scenes that showed these two had a past. Our hero did one thing and they had one interaction that stuck with them for years to come? Not believable. Unfortunately Tessa Bailey has recently been more of a miss for me. I loved her last Christmas book, so I was hopeful for this one, but this didn't even feel like a Christmas book?

Wreck the Halls is so cute but also chaos 😂. Children or 90s indie rock royalty, Beat and Melody, are tasked with the seemingly impossible task: reunite their Moms together for a reunion concert on Christmas Eve. These two have only met once prior back when they were 16, but their connection has never faded.
There’s instalove, Blackmail, live social media feeds, spice, a visit to jail due to kicking Santa in the balls, beignets - Tessa really gave us everything in this one! I had a blast reading it and recommend it if you like a holiday-adjacent romcom with spice.
I received an advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.

Tessa Bailey has some really fun romances and her previous Christmas romance was great, so I was expecting to enjoy this one more than I did. The miscommunication was a bit frustrating and the romance seemed to blossom out of nowhere. I did enjoy the premise and humor, though.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

I was in a reading rut and this book brought me right out! It put me in the holiday mood and was the perfect reading escape that I needed. I loved it, Tessa again knocked it out of the park and would absolutely recommend.
I want to thank NetGalley, Tessa Bailey and Avon and Harper Voyager, Avon for the e-ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.

I REALLY wanted to like this book. The concept is utterly delightful and there’s a lot of positives here with the characters, but something just didn’t click for me. Maybe it was the chemistry between Melody and Beat that felt off, but I wasn’t a huge fan of this one.

Tessa Bailey never disappoints for her romance readers. The story of two adults who meet again after their rock-star mom's nasty break-up. They find each other during the holidays and realize that they might be the only two people who can truly understand each other.

I don't usually go for the holiday trope, but for Tessa Bailey, I'll venture out of my comfort zone, and reading Wreck the Halls was not at all what I expected, especially from Tessa. Although it was definite insta-love, and I had to bend myself into believing their connection was real, once I got over that hurdle, I was along for the ride! And what a ride it was. To experience Beat and Melody's connection grow while they each grew in their own ways was fun, sweet, a little bit angsty, but enjoyable. I really hope this one gets made into a movie; it would be a perfect Hallmark story!

If Tessa writes it, I’m going to read it! I always have the best time with her books and one with some holiday flare is no exception! I binged this in a day and had the best time!
I loved our MMC Beat and thought the plot line of being famous children of rock stars was such a fun storyline! I love a book with a reality TV moment too 🎬.
I loved the relationship between Melody and Beat and couldn’t help but want to root for them! This is a book set around the holiday’s but isn’t overtly holiday themed so just keep that in mind when reading!
Overall I enjoyed this silly and sweet romance and of course the way that Tessa crafts her romances are unmatched!

I’m a Tessa Bailey fan and I enjoyed this book. I think I was maybe expecting a little something different from what I got, but I wasn’t mad about the book! I thought all the characters were fun and it had Tessa Baileys signature heat.

"They'd always been soulmates, they'd just been living separate lives.”

I have enjoyed many of Tessa’s books but this one, but I didn’t love it. I was captivated by the Christmas vibes and the plot but it did not deliver for me.
Things I enjoyed:
- The approach to the Reality TV show.
- The premise of getting their rockstar moms together.
Things I disliked:
- Miscommunication trope
- Didn’t feel like Christmas except the date as a deadline to reunite the mothers. It was not a holiday book.
- Did not fall for the main characters. Just did not feel the connection.
- The plot was there but didn’t have enough substance in my opinion.
- Third-person narration (personal choice)
- The sexual content (I guess I just didn’t get the reasons behind his approach - no spoilers l). It just put me off I guess (personal opinion)
I still encourage you to give it a try!

I really loved this. This was cheesy af but who doesn’t love a cheesy Christmas book? It was hallmark but spicy! I loved the concept of getting a band back together.

I received this book for free for an honest unbiased review from Netgalley.
I really love this author but I struggled to get into it. It picked up towards the end.

This was such a cute story. The pretense was one that you just kinda have to shut your brain off and go with, but it led to a really fun story. I loved Beat and Melody and them together. I wish it had a little more holiday-ness, there wasn't much except the big event happening on Christmas Eve. But this is definitely a cute read!

Well, this was adorable. Feel-good fluffy romance you don’t have to put much mental work into keeping up with stuff. Solid spice that wasn’t too over the top

There is a lot to like about Wreck the Halls. It's cute, funny and I loved the premise of them trying to reunite their moms for one last musical act.
I really struggled though with Beat's kink. The buildup was intense and then we find out that he likes delayed gratification. And when we find out why... so much more could have been done with that. Instead Melody is like a cure all and I didn't care for that aspect.
