Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins for the eARC of Wreck The Halls by Tessa Bailey. To say this book was unhinged is an understatement. So this review will be unfiltered. While the story and characters were lacking this was highly entertaining - I laughed out loud multiple times, and rolled my eyes aplenty. First of all - the characters are children of former rockstars and are named “Beat” and “Melody”. If this wasn’t sign enough that it was going to be cringe idk what is. The spicy scenes were ridiculous, I could not take them seriously and every time the story progressed I could barely believe I wasn’t having a fever dream. This book has crunchy cults, blackmail, childhood trauma over being privileged, overcoming said trauma by entering a vagina, a reality show, someone having a career as a book restoration expert, Hoda Kotb and a bocce ball tournament. The only thing missing was a cute pet for the cover. I simply cannot stress enough how insane this book was and I genuinely couldn’t believe this was a traditionally published book. No hate to Tessa Bailey, but this was the most chaotic mess I’ve read - AND it’s holiday themed. Enjoy the wild ride.

You can always count on Tessa Bailey to bring in the spice when it comes to a love story! There were many times I laughed out loud while reading this. I loved the friends to lovers trope (one of my favs!) with the twist of the parent trap. It was a feel good, lighthearted romcom that is perfect for the holiday season!

I could not get into this one. Melody and Beat??? really???????????? I wanted to love but this one just wasn't for me.

Tessa Bailey will never fail
To make you laugh I love her honor and smut in every single book she releases. Perfect book to read with a cozy blanket cup of hot chocolate during the holiday season

This was a fun and different take on a Christmas trope. I really enjoyed the premise of this, and while logistically it sound like a nightmare, it made for a fun read. These characters, especially Beat, are everything. Mel is quirky and hilarious. I want to see this show in real life!

Grab your blanket and nestle in for an afternoon of reading because you won’t be able to put this one down! Melody Gallard is the daughter of music royalty but her rockstar mom hasn’t been around except for once a year on her birthday.
Beat Dawkins is the lead singer’s son. He has lived a charmed life as a perk of being a rockstar’s son. Melody and Beat are the only people who can understand what it is like to be the offspring of this famous duo. The media and the difficulty of getting close to people because of their ulterior motives. They both have trust issues. They might have been best friends if not for the legendary feud that broke up the band. Now they have been offered a huge amount of money to reunite their moms for one last concert on Christmas Eve. But this opportunity also gives them the chance to get to know each other. Great read! Thank you NetGalley! I just reviewed Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey. #WrecktheHalls #NetGalley

Everything Tessa Bailey writes is just *chefs kiss* This had everything and more: rockstars, smut that would make you blush, tv shows and more. I lovedddd this book so much!

I really wanted to like this one, but it just wasn't for me. It also wasn't much of a Christmas read like I was expecting.

I loved this holiday romantic comedy! Beat and Melody have a wonderful, special chemistry. Their story is full of love, laughs, tears and spice. Reading this one just might make you believe in soulmates, fate and the magic of Christmas.

A fast-paced, sweet, steamy holiday romance. Tessa Bailey's books just keep getting better for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free e-copy.

This is a fun Christmas rom-com. We follow the story of two celebrity children of rock stars as a producer of a network tries to get them to bring their parent's band back together again by starring in a reality show. The ups and downs of celebrity life and becoming reality stars on their own, set us up for some awkward, funny, and sometimes sad situations. The connection they share is instant. Both of them unaware of how obvious they are on camera. It is a great Holiday story about being there for the family you choose and finding love and of course finding out if the band can set aside their differences to reunite for a Christmas show.

Adorable and funny holiday romance--complete escapism, and charming enough that you will overlook some areas of character and plot underdevelopment.
Pick this one up if you love Hallmark holiday movies but wish they were sexier, look for off-the-charts chemistry and banter between your romance leads, and enjoy a bit of control play in your romance novel sex scenes (and don't mind a bit of cringe-y dirty talk).

This was a cute holiday romance. I was excited to read something new. Melody and Beat are the children of rockstar rivals. These two rockstar women were famous and then they had a falling out. Melody and beat first meet at 16. And then fast forward 14 years. The two end up trying to get their famous rockstar moms back together for a reunion. I did like each character but I just felt kinda bored throughout this. It feels like not a lot happens but it still has a cute ending. Some spicy parts as well. Basically a hallmark spicy holiday romance.
*thank you to NetGalley for an arc.

I loved this book, and I can't wait to read it again. I have read a handful of Tessa Bailey books and none of them compare to this one. This is by far my favorite which tells the story of Beat and Melody who are each a child of the two women who were an insanely popular rock duo that broke up before their children were born. The premise of the book is for Beat and Melody to pair up on a live stream to reunite their feuding mothers for a concert.
The title and cover convey a holiday theme which is why I think I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. The holiday theme is essentially that it takes place during December and the goal is reunite their mothers at a Christmas Eve concert. None of this is particularly Christmas-y except for some Santas at a bonfire.
The electric connection between Beat and Melody created a book that I couldn't put down. Highly recommend!

Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey was a holiday delight. Melody and Beat are the children of their famous rock duo mothers. The music industry wants their mothers to participate in a holiday reunion special. However, their mothers no longer speak. Melody and Beat need to work together to make it happen. When Melody was sixteen, she met Beat for the first time and was left with a lasting impression. Now, some burning chemistry is happening between them as they age. This gave me a holiday Daisy Jones and the Six vibes with the music industry and the live-stream elements. I was entertained throughout. I recommend this book for your holiday reading, especially if you enjoy open-door romances, NYC backdrop, the music industry, reality live stream, and some instant love.

I’ve loved every Tessa Bailey book I’ve read, and this one was no exception. I loved the family dynamics and the relationship between Beat and Melody. I love how they grew separately and together and the ending was very, very cute. It was a wonderful holiday read.

You can’t have Christmas without at least one perfect romantic read, and this novel fits the bill to a t! The storyline is enchanting, with two adult children of previous costars having to forge a bond to convince their estranged mothers to play at a celebratory concert. Super cute and enticing!

This book was too good! I love Beat and Melody! The whole rockstar as moms rivalry vibes was so perfect. It made me laugh and swoon so hard.

3.5 stars. Melody and Beat are the (unrelated) children of two women who used to have a very successful band, but broke up for mysterious reasons. There are a lot of complicated reasons that the kids agree to try to reunite their mothers on Christmas Eve, and let a reality show livestream their attempt. If the plot sounds complicated and convoluted, that's because it was. There's a lot of unnecessary chatter, and the livestream didn't ring true at all. Even the title doesn't really fit the story. This was okay but not Tessa Bailey's best.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this Advanced Reader Copy!
Tessa Bailey is one of my FAVORITE authors and this book did not let me down. The main characters, Beat and Melody, are the children of estranged LEGENDS of rock who broke up suddenly mid tour with no explanation. The breakup has left the fans of the rock stars confused and wanting/needing a reunion for decades. When one of their old hits goes viral there is a newfound interest in the group which prompts a TV Network to challenge (for a HUGE payout) Beat and Melody to unite and get their moms back on stage together by Christmas.
Beat has always been at ease in the spotlight with his good looks and Uber charming personality, while Melody prefers to stay as far out of the limelight as possible. But when Beat asks for Melody’s help, she cannot turn down her longtime crush. This book takes us on so many different adventures that it is hard to put down at all. Following Beat and Melody as they try to join their stubborn mothers back together is hilarious, emotional and so so entertaining!
