I recently delved into Tessa Bailey's "Wreck the Halls" and found it to be a delightful journey into the world of romance and holiday spirit. The author's ability to weave a captivating tale is undeniable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The characters were compelling, and their chemistry was palpable, adding an extra layer of excitement to the narrative. Bailey's writing style is engaging and kept me hooked from start to finish. The holiday setting added a festive charm, making it a perfect read for the season.
While the story delivered on many fronts, I found myself yearning for a bit more spice. The heat between the characters was certainly there, but I couldn't help but wish for an extra kick of intensity. It's like savoring a delicious dish and thinking, "This is fantastic, but a touch more spice would take it to the next level."
However, I understand that not every story can be a blazing inferno of passion, and sometimes a subtle flame is just as satisfying. A girl can't ALWAYS get a ton of spice, as they say, and in the context of the story, the level of heat felt appropriate.
In the end, "Wreck the Halls" is a well-crafted romance with an enticing storyline and lovable characters. If you're looking for a heartwarming read with a touch of spice, this book is sure to hit the spot.

My favorite thing about Wreck the Halls is that Tessa also built the characters of Octavia and Trina, and how their attributes shaped the lives of Beat and Melody, which made it not your typical romance. This is a perfect holiday romance.

I really really loved this - though it was veery reminiscent of Fix Her Up in some ways, but I loved that too so I’m fine with it. I liked that it was about celebrity without being about celebrities and while I would’ve appreciated a deeper dive into Melody and Beat, I truly enjoyed them as the MC’s. So, if you enjoyed Fix Her Up, Window Shopping, and Secretly Yours - I think you’ll enjoy Wreck the Halls too!
4 out of 5 wine glasses

If you are looking for a fun holiday romantic comedy, Wreck the Halls is a great pic. Tessa Bailey is the queen of dirty talk and this book definitely has steam and open door romance throughout the book. it features a second chance relationship feel between the daughter and son of two former band members who try to get their mothers back together for a reunion show, against many odds, including the main roadblock...the two women hate each other and haven't spoken for 14 years. Unique story line, but I enjoyed her other holiday romance, Window Shopping a bit more.

This book fell a little bit flat compared to the other books I've read of hers. Definitely still a quick cute Christmas read though.
*Thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager, Tessa Bailey, and NetGalley for the ARC, in exchange for my honest review.*

This was a sweet holiday romance of Melody and Beat; the children of a rockstar duo who are now arch nemesis. Their band break up was dramatic.
Beat is now dealing with a black mailer and trying to figure out how to get money to pay them off to protect his parents.
Now a reality TV show is offering them a lot of money to get their mothers back together to perform for the holidays. Impossible task, but when Melody and Beat met as teens sparks flew, and they haven’t found anyone meaningful in their lives since.
As they try everything in their power to get their moms to perform again; secrets come out, sparks fly, the attraction between these two is still undeniable and safe.
This was a cute story, and great for the holiday spirit. I loved that both characters worked on their own baggage, separately and together. And some of the side characters were also really funny.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Melody and Beat are the children of a famous rock duo, who's act broke up in a gloriously dramatic fashion. Their mothers hate each other and they have been tasked by a reality TV producer to get them back together for one more show on Christmas Eve. When Melody and Beat met for the first time as teenagers sparks flew, they could have been friends if their moms hadn't had a huge falling out, and when they are pushed together again as adults all of those sparks are still there. The attraction they feel toward each other is undeniable, but can they make it through the scandals of their mother's pasts?
I adored this book! This was a perfect little bit of Christmas romance and exactly what I needed in the moment! I really enjoyed both characters working through some of their own baggage and coming together. Tessa Bailey delivers again, with this one.

This was one of my favorite stories by Tessa Bailey!! I’m usually picky about Christmas stories but this one was so fun. I adored both characters and I loved the plot of this story. I was actually sad for this book to end.

I do love a good story involving rock stars. This is a typical Tessa Bailey book and I enjoyed it. The steamy scenes didn’t go overboard in Wreck the Halls and she captured the awkwardness of the characters growing up with rock star moms. I found a lot of the gestures to be quirky and endearing.

This was such a fun read! I am always impressed with Tessa Bailey's warmth and humor, and this book hit the marks. it was a festive, fun rom com that hit all the emotional hallmarks. There's also drama and intrigue and music that reminds me of the music drama from Daisy Jones and the Six. Such a fun, festive read!

I really enjoyed reading this book. Melody and Beat’s story is sexy, funny and an all around great read. Will be reading this again soon. ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book reads like a movie. It was engaging and kept me reading even though I found Beat's motivation for participating in the reunion attempt to be a bit unbelievable. I loved Melody's humor and Beat's devotion. The banter and connection between them was fun and so satisfying.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! As a Jewish woman who does not read much Christmas fiction, I do read anything and everything Tessa Bailey writes, so you can see my dilemma here. Naturally, Tessa won in this battle and I devoured Wreck the Halls. I am happy to report this is way more of a romance set during the holiday season than a true "Christmas Romance" - it is full of banter, steam and all the things I've come to love from Tessa Bailey.

Tessa Bailey can truly do no wrong and Wreck the Halls was such a treat to read! I was hooked from the very beginning.
Beat & Melody are the children of the incredibly famous but broken up band, The Steel Birds. The public has gone decades without knowing what caused the band to break up. The group has gone viral & has a whole new generation of fans who are desperate for them to get back together for a reunion. Only one problem: they hate each other.
Beat & Melody are approached to be in a reality show which would follow them in an attempt to get their famous mothers to agree to a reunion. Neither of them likes the spotlight but Beat needs the money. And Melody would do anything for him considering she hasn’t stopped thinking about him since the day they met when they were 16 years old.
I never wanted this book to end and it absolutely needs to be a movie. Perfect amount of smut. Perfect amount of holiday cheer. 🤌🏼
The only complaint I had was Beat’s name. I kept wanting to call hi m Callum or something along those lines. Otherwise, it was perfection.

Don't let the characters music names fool
you into thinking this is a cheesy rom-com. Tessa Bailey does it again with a steamy, yet sincere and deep romance with wonderfully developed characters! this book is so fun for the holidays!

Tessa Bailey always delivers with her novels. Wreck the Halls is a fun holiday romance with plenty of adventure and hijinks. Great chemistry between the main characters, plenty of steam. Overall a n entertaining page turner

This book is the holiday rom com of my dreams!
“Wreck the Halls” follows both Melody Gallard and Beat Dawkins—the adult children of two former rock stars—who team up to convince their estranged mothers to play a Christmas Eve concert. When they met as teenagers, the two felt an instant connection, but it is nowhere near comparable to the intense attraction that only heightens as they undergo rock star shenanigans to make the Steel Birds reunion a reality. But as Christmas Eve approaches, a decades-old scandal threatens to ruin everything.
I don’t normally love the “insta-love” trope, but I’ll always make an exception for Tessa Bailey and I’ll tell you why. While Beat and Melody do instantly fall in love with each other, they do not instantly make their feelings known. In fact, reading from both of their points-of-view reveals that they both try to deny their attraction and make their infatuation less obvious for most of the book, creating “will they or won’t they” sexual tension that builds up to a satisfying climax when the two finally profess their love.
Additionally, Beat and Melody’s connection is like no other. It is deeper than your run-of-the-mill “insta-love” romance because they both understand what it is like to be in the limelight and for the tabloids to pry into their personal lives due to the fame surrounding their mothers. They find that they can be unguarded with each other and it makes their romance that more appealing and real.
The holiday spirit is subtly woven into this book rather than all up in your face, which I appreciated because it doesn’t hijack the storyline. Come Christmas time, I will definitely be reading this again. In fact, I think I’ll make it a yearly tradition to cozy up with this book by the tree and you should too!

Thank you to the author, publisher and @NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
My first 5-star holiday themed romance this year! This is definitely one for the tbr if you’re a fan of all the band reunion chatter and celeb gossip as of late.
Melody and Beat are *chef’s kiss* adorable and hot.
I totally wanted Steel Birds to be a real band (probably second only to the fictional Opal & Nev).
And set at CHRISTMAS?! My favorite time of year?! @tessabaileyisanauthor you have wrecked ME

tessa’s writing is so addictive, everything she writes i simply can’t put down until i finish it. this is her second holiday romance i’ve read and i hope it’s not the last!!
