What a fun holiday romance! I was so happy with this book after being a little disappointed in the Vince Mess and Romancing the Clarksons series. This was much more on par with Bailey's Hot and Hammered and Bellinger Sister series. I enjoyed Melody a lot more than Beat (not sold on that name). She grew and developed throughout the story and I related to her struggles and self-esteem issues. Beat was a little too over the top and intense, especially when he was feeling romantic, but I do always appreciate an ML who is emotionally aware and willing to express themselves, so I guess I can't complain too much. Overall, their connection was beautiful and enviable.
I love the setting, the plot line (very original and unlike any other story line I've read!) and everything leading up to Christmas Eve. Even though it is titled and marketed as a holiday romance, this would be good any time of year!
This book delivers intensity and romance behind the character's connection along with the drama of reuniting a rock duo on top of dealing with family dynamics and relationships all around the holidays. Highly recommend!
Looking forward to Bailey's next book!

The cover of this book is a bit deceiving, it's not a holiday book at all. Although the time period covered is December, the plot doesn't revolve around Christmas except for the MC's trying to get their moms back together for a band reunion on Christmas Eve. Melody and Beat met when they were 16 years old... it's now 14 years later and Beat is being blackmailed and needs money, so he enlists Melody for a 'live' reality show that follows them around as they try to get their moms to perform one last time. Unfortunately, the bad blood between Octavia and Trina isn't going to repair itself overnight.

The best parts/characters in this book were Octavia and Trina. They were hilarious. I wish the story was more about them than the romance between Beat and Melody (it was hard for me to get past the silly names). It's not my favorite Tessa Bailey book, but my expectations probably differed too much from the reality of this story.

Tessa Bailey is an auto-read/buy for me. I love her books. This one conjures up a reunion of 2 music goddesses who had a falling out and would never reunite again. That is until producers convince their children to agree to a reality gig, where they follow Melody Gallard and Beat Dawkins (said rock goddesses only children) around 24/7 with a camera, in the hopes they can eventually convince their mothers to a reunion.

We learn why the women broke up, why their adult children are who they are, and witness a classic opposites attract story, complete with all the drama reality TV can conjure.

It's a fun sweet holiday read.

This book definitely exceeded my expectations! I am truly not a big fan of holiday romances, but this one was very light on the holiday aspect. I was super fascinated by the outcome of the mom's band, and the band gave a "Daisy Jones/Fleetwood Mac" vibe. I honestly wish there was more of their history!

Overall, a super cute holiday read.

Tessa Bailey delivers her signature heat and heartwarming, whimsical plot with funny, witty banter. Would not say this was my favorite book of hers, but this is an enjoyable read - year round.

Restoring old books? Musical reunions? Sibling drams? This was such a fun book to read. I haven't read many Tessa Bailey novels, but I enjoyed this one very much. Perfect for the holiday season for sure. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital ARC of this book.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC copy of this book to read and review. All of these thoughts are my own.

I thought this was a cute little book. I absolutely love anything Christmas and romanced themed. Also, the spice was SPICY !! While I did like the book; I do feel like this book was a tad flat for me. I usually swoon over the male characters in Tessa’s books but I just didn’t really like Beat. I couldn’t connect with him or really give a crap about him. I did however love Melody. I was hardcore swooning over her. She really made the book along with Octavia and Trina. She was witty and cute and just fun. I really connected with her.

I’m a huge TB fan but this one just isn’t my favorite I’ve read by her. I still would recommend it to others because I do feel like a lot of people would still enjoy it. I still plan to buy an actual copy to go with my collection.
4 stars!

Thank you NetGalley and Avon for this amazing title!

Anything, and I mean ANYTHING, by Tessa Bailey is an instant buy for me.
Holiday standalone? Yes, please!!

We have Beat and Melody. (Can the names be any more perfect?!) They are the children of a famous rock duo from the nineties. Their mothers have not seen each other in decades, but each of their children have had to live in the spotlight and the aftermath of their popularity.

Beat and Melody have always known of each other, but only met once as teenagers. Melody was in awe of Beat's charisma and ease. Beat saw Melody and wanted to protect her heart and innocence from the rude paparazzi and public comments. Their connection ran deep, even if it was only in a passing moment.

Due to some circumstances I will not spoil, Beat is now in his thirties and is signed up to record a reality show about getting his mom and Melody's back together. Which in turns, brings them back together.

Tessa Bailey creates her characters to be so likeable and so....human.

Also, we got a new...kink?....that I don't believe Tessa has used before. (I ain't mad at it!)

Loved this book!! Five stars all the way!

Another winner from Tessa Bailey! I’m obsessed with Beat and Melody and love their story. I would have liked the ending to not be so abrupt- I just wanted more! I loved the frantic reality tv story line. This would make an awesome movie. And Octavia and Trina were such great characters. At first you love to hate them and then you just love them.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books for this ARC!

I really enjoyed this! I haven't read any Tessa Bailey before and it was delightful. It was fun, I was excited to see what would happen, I thought the protagonists were real and grounded while being likeable. Each individual character is very unique and I had a great time.

My only complaint is that the relationship is entirely too rushed. The instalove is way too much. Then he's thinking about proposing after two weeks, which. Yeah.

Overall, would recommend!

I love Tessa Bailey so it was a no brainer for me to pick up her latest Christmas romance. I thoroughly enjoy this story! It was all the warm fuzzies of a holiday rom com with SPICE. What more could you ask for? Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this story! All opinions are my own of course and I promise you won’t be disappointed in this one!

Anything Tessa Bailey writes is an auto-read for me. Each time, I think this one can't possibly be better than the last, and yet--it is. Wreck the Halls has all of Bailey's trademark witty banter, swoon worthy scenes, lovable characters, and a guaranteed happily ever, all wrapped up like a perfect early holiday present to her readers.

This book is such a fun concept. Melody and beat are the offspring of rock stars who are tasked with getting their mothers band back together. Mel remembered meeting beat as a teen but that’s when there was an explosion between their mothers and the band broke up. There is so much banter on this book and the shenanigans as you look at the behind the scenes of trying to put the band together plus a secret that can tear everyone apart at the same time. The chemistry is excellent and as always, Tessa Bailey can write a fun book with some steamy scenes. This is not your typical holiday romance book but I highly recommend it.

Pros: I didn’t find much to love in this book, but the mom characters (Octavia and Trina) were the most interesting part and I only wish we had gotten to know them more, especially at the end. The sex scenes in this book are characteristically hot (Bailey knows how to write these well) and the banter between Melody and Beat was great.

Cons: Tessa Bailey is usually a great go to author for a light, spicy romance but this is a jumbled mess. There are too many tropes, too many storylines, and not enough time to get to know the characters. Childhood sweethearts, blackmail, sexual kinks, and not too much holiday in this holiday romance.

Looking for something to keep you warm as the weather begins to change? Tessa Bailey will never disappoint you! Her knack for writing steamy romance is a talent and perfect for a holiday romance. While her plot lines are a bit cheesy, her characters are sexy and she delivers on all the steam.

Melody and Beat (which is a bit of humor itself) are no expection. They are ready to create music... see what I did there? My own little musical bit. Think a little of MTV reality TV in a book. The reality is that I love it just the same! It's not to be missed.

ITS HOLIDAY READING TIME FRIENDS <3
TY netgalley and Avon publishing for the advanced readers copy of Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey!

I absolutely loved this one! Sometimes, I am not in the mood for a holiday read because they all feel kind of the same. Second chances/romance/found love. This really kept things fresh, unique and if you know Tessa Bailey... steamy!

Octavia leads a luxurious and glamorous life in New York, Trina Gallard is the polar opposite- a total rock and roll fan girl. Now enter, Beat Dawkins and Melody Gallard. (((yes tons of characters, but it was not that challenging to keep track of))) A TV show centers around two children's attempt to reunite their mothers to sing at Christmas Eve on Rockefeller Center, 30 years after their last performance together. Can they pull it off?

This is so heartwarming, I adored the main characters. The banter was elite, the character development was present, Themes of love, forgiveness and personal-growth. Tessa writes hillarious, laugh out loud moments like no one else.

A must add to your holiday TBR- 5 golden stars!

I know that I can always count on Tessa Bailey for an entertaining rom-com so I, of course, couldn’t resist her latest book, Wreck the Halls, a holiday-themed rom-com that features the adult children of two estranged former rock band mates who team up to try to convince their moms to reunite for a Christmas Eve concert.

Melody Gallard may be the daughter of a rock legend, but one awkward tabloid photo when she was a teen was enough to make Melody shun the spotlight and the attention that goes hand and hand with fame. Instead, she has chosen a quieter path for herself and spends her days restoring old books. When a producer comes forward and offers her a huge sum of money if she can convince her mom to reunite with her band on live TV, Melody wonders if this is a sign it’s time to step out of her comfort zone. She loves the idea of having enough money to be financially independent and is also very intrigued by the fact that she’ll have to team up with the only other person who can possibly convince the estranged band members to get back together, Beat Dawkins.

Beat is the son of the band’s lead singer. Charming, handsome, and not at all awkward in front of the cameras, Beat’s experience with fame was quite different from Melody’s. When he and Melody met as teenagers while the band was still together, Beat immediately felt very protective of Melody, especially when he saw how the media treated her so differently from the way they treated him. Beat thought they might become friends but instead, they lost touch after the band broke up. These days Beat finds himself dealing with one of the serious downsides of fame, someone with a secret about his mom’s past, is blackmailing him. Every time Beat thinks he’s done with the guy, he shows up again demanding more money. When Beat is approached about trying to reunite the band, he truly hopes the payout is enough to get the blackmailer off his back once and for all. Plus, there’s the added bonus of finally getting to see Melody again.

This book was such a fun ride! I loved that the premise of this reunion was done in the vein of a reality TV show, with both Beat and Melody mic’d up and followed by camera crews at all times. Trying to get these two rock divas to reunite was basically Mission Impossible for the two of them, but I loved every minute of the rom-com style shenanigans that took place. I also loved that it gave Melody and Beat a chance to get reacquainted as adults and finally explore the sparks that flew between them when they first met as teens. Tessa Bailey is the queen of the spicy rom-com so of course things heat up between these two and I was here for it and cheering them on.

If you’re looking to add a little spice to your holiday romance TBR, you’ll definitely want to pick up a copy of Wreck the Halls.

In Wreck the Halls, Melody and Beat reunite after 15 years, after having only met once, briefly at the age of 16. Their mothers were once an iconic rock duo, torn apart and never to speak again just before their birth. Now, they agree to participate in a live-streaming reality show attempt to get their mothers back together for one final concert. Beat has his own, secret reasons to do the show, and Melody will do anything to help Beat. Even 15 years later, their connection is undeniable, but will these two soulmates find the way?

Melody and Beat can't be described as anything but endgame. The whole book essentially centers on the almost indescribable tether they have to one another, separated for too long. The reality show aspect is a bit bonkers, but ultimately pretty fun. This books takes a bit of suspending reality, but it had me so ready to suspend it to see what happened to our iconic duo(s). It's a bit less steamy (imo) than some of Bailey's other books, with Beat's "kink" teased in the first half as an impediment to them coupling up, and then it was revealed to be mostly innocuous. But perhaps that's the point? I loved the overarching plot of this book and couldn't put it down, almost staying up hours past I should to see the conclusion.

Thanks to Avon for my eARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

5 stars - 9/10

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for an ARC copy of Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey in an exchange for an honest review.

Before Melody and Beat were born, their mothers were the rock star legends of Steel Birds until their dramatic breakup. Years later Melody and Beat decide to team up to help reunite them for a cause. Both have their reasons to need it to succeed while knowing it is likely to fail. Along the way Melody realizes that she has always been a pushover and that she has to make her own decisions about her life. Beat, however, is tired of being the perfect golden boy and begins to let Melody in on all of his secrets. In the end they both realize that no matter how hard they try to stay apart, they were always written to be together.

Look... I really like Tessa Bailey, but I don't know what the heck is going on right now. I don't know if she is just cranking books out too fast or if editing is falling by the wayside, but this was hard for me to read. I mean, at some points my shoulders were to my ears I was cringing so hard and it had nothing to do with Beat's kink. And I hate saying that about one of her books. I really hope her future titles get better because I do enjoy her characters and story telling, but this one just wasn't it for me.
