I love books that have at least one famous person in it, so I really enjoyed this. The reality tv aspect of it was so fun. Beat and Melody's relationship was cute and their relationships with their respective parents were interesting, though I wish there was a little more about Melody's relationship with her mom. It seemed like there was a lot there but the book didn't touch on too much. All in all, a solid romance. Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for this ARC!

First of all, I loved Melody and Beat. Their chemistry and character development was 😘. The live stream show in an attempt to get their famous mom's band back together was engaging and fun, also loved it.

I would have loved it so much more if we could focus on all of that awesomeness and not on the miscommunication and Beat's blackmailer.

Overall, if you don't mind the miscommunication trope, and you like Tessa Bailey, you will probably love it. There was just a lot going on with the blackmail and the miscommunication and it distracted from the main plot.

This holiday romance is the perfect prescription for lonely souls, depressed individuals who carry clouds beneath their heads, and anyone in need of a great laugh and heartwarming moments. It revolves around a captivating friends-to-lovers trope with a Parent Trap twist, featuring two rock legend parents who happen to be arch-nemeses.

There were two aspects of this book that completely won me over:

Firstly, the main characters are incredibly adorable. If you were to search "sweethearts" on Google, their names might just appear on your screen because they are the epitome of huggable cuteness. They are the kind of fictional characters that you can't help but fall in love with a million times over.

Secondly, the smart banter between their mothers, Octavia and Trina, had me laughing out loud. In fact, I couldn't help but envision the talented Cate Blanchett as Octavia and the incomparable Winona Ryder as Trina. If this book were to be adapted into a holiday movie, that dreamy duo would be the perfect casting choice.

Octavia leads a luxurious and glamorous life in New York, gracing philanthropic events organized by Beat to provide scholarships for aspiring young adults and give them a better future. On the other hand, Trina Gallard is the polar opposite—a nudist, cultist, anarchist, brilliant songwriter, and legendary rock babe. She prefers banging drums and starting fights with men dressed as Santa Claus, truly living life on her own terms.

Melody Gallard, the daughter of Trina, is a quirky, introverted, and shy "Brooklynaire." She is a rare book restoration expert, quick-witted, and kind, trying to find her own place in the world after living under the shadow of her mother. During her teenage years, she endured public humiliation due to mean paparazzo comments about her acne problem and braces.

I never thought I’d be reading a christmassy book in June, but here we are! I will read anything Tessa Bailey writes. While this is set around the holidays, it doesn’t really give big holiday vibes. It was a quick, easy read & I enjoyed parts of it but definitely not my favorite TB book. I finished it in a few hours. I really liked Melody, but the H, Beat, was not my favorite. The plot felt a little all over the place but it was a fun concept. Overall an easy read but I couldn’t get into it as much as I wanted to.

Melody and Beat have a destiny together that they just can't fight. Their mothers are a rock duo who broke up over a guy, and the modern day fans want them back together. While they are only two months apart in age, they have never had a friendship and have only met once when they were young teenagers. The media is in love with Beat. He is charismatic, good looking, and all the things being a child of a huge start encompasses. Melody is not so much. She is an introverted book restorer, who is awkward at best. The two of them are asked to team up to reunite their obstinate mothers for a one time only show and be recorded 24/7 over the weeks leading up to the reunion. Can they make the impossible happen? How does destiny shape their futures or will they be like their mothers and turn their back on it? Tessa Bailey does an excellent job with her character development and putting them in fun, sexy, and funny situations.

I love a good holiday romance sprinkled with some humor, and Tessa Bailey always delivers. She also delivers on the steam and sexy bits too, and this story definitely didn’t disappoint in that area. (Wowza!) This book reminded me a lot of Daisy Jones and The Six with the rock band vibes. (Am I the only one?) If you’re looking for a light-hearted and quick read, then I highly recommend Wreck the Halls. I was able to finish it in a couple of days. The past few books I’ve read have been very serious and intense, so it was a welcome change diving into Tessa’s world with all the fun and humor. I look forward to her next book.

Not my favorite of Tessa Bailey's books, but I was engaged all the same. There wasn't a whole lot of holiday aspects to the story besides the snowball fight scene, so the title is a little deceptive. Tessa Bailey's writing style is widely accessible and her female characters are likeable. Is it just me or are her books getting spicier?

I love Tessa Bailey's books and this one was no different. I loved the characters, including the two mothers they are trying to bring back for a reunion. They are wacky and flawed, but it makes them believable. A good romance with just enough humor.

This was fantastic. This is so well written and fun and super steamy. Melody is a wonder and Beat is lovable despite his constant fuck-ups. Bailey knows how to write a great story, a great romance, and amazing characters. And she certainly knows how to get my husband into my pants. This book is not overly Christmas-sy but it does take place during December. Thank you so much to NetGalley for an ARC!!

Melody and Beat have a lot in common, they are the children of the famous Steel Birds rock band duo. They haven't seen each other since they were 16, but now the world wants Steel Birds to get back together.
The shenanigans soon follow when they set out to make a reality show about getting their famous mothers back together.

There is lots of baggage carried around by all the characters and making it a story that revolves around a rock band solidified my love for Tessa Bailey.

Tessa Bailey can do no wrong. I liked the addition of Melody's relationship with her mother and watching Melody's character growth, even outside the central romance. Of course Tessa is going to have the spice in there and "loving from afar" is a trope you don't see much, it made for a fun holiday read!

I could not love this book any more than I do. 5 million stars. I couldn't put it down-had to read it at my desk at work. I love the main characters and while it was instalove, their story made that seem real. So good. Very spicy and very fun.

Wreck the Halls is a hilarious rom-com that is the embodiment of that one "we're getting the band back together!!" meme.
I know I have said this a thousand times, pledging my fealty as I loyally hand sell Tessa Bailey day in and day out, but! She can't keep doing this to me (writing the best books ever). If two things bring me joy, it is holidays and romance, so when I was sent a Christmas rom-com by Tessa Bailey? I read it in two days. I devoured it, sneaking away to read this bad boy at family dinners. It's that good.
Sparks fly when Melody and Beat are tasked with getting their mother's band together after decades apart. This book builds into a satisfying love story that I cannot wait to display come December! The brooding, the emotional growth, and the very real intense feelings on the page are so well done. Not to mention Tessa Baliey remains the crowned queen of 'dirty-talking heroes' FYI. ;)

This was enjoyable! I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick, light-hearted romance. I love Tessa Bailey and look forward to her next Duology!

Read an early copy of a Tessa Bailey book? Yes, please! I've come to expect the unexpected from Bailey, at least in terms of her stories. I know I can always count on her characters to be passionate, full, and in possession of robust sense of humor. That, and a lot of spice. (Like, a lot. But you already knew that if you have read any Tessa Bailey books before.)

Wreck the Halls begins with us meeting the offspring of the astoundingly famous members of the now-defunct rock band, Steel Birds. Beat and Melody have an instant connection, mainly because there is no one else in the world who can understand what they have gone through as the children of their famous mothers. They each make an indelible impression on each other.

We meet up with them again years later when Beat is approached by a cable network producer who wants to film a reality show trying to get Steel Birds back together. The only reasons Beat even considers the offer is to potentially see Melody again, and the fact that he needs money to pay off his blackmailer.

Both Melody and Beat explore the people they are and who they are meant to be throughout the reality show. As one person writes on a sign: Beat + Melody = Couple Goals, and I'd have to agree.

Wreck the Halls at first felt like a deviation from Bailey's previous books, and I wasn't sure how I felt about that. However, while it had a slow start, once I was hooked I couldn't put it down. I will continue to be an avid Tessa Bailey fan.

First things first, I love that the main characters' names are Beat and Melody. I found that hilarious. Beat and Melody were likable leads and, as always, this book features Bailey's signature wit and easy banter. However, the Christmassy cover and description of the book being "a holiday rom-com" made me think this book would be much more festive than it was. The most festive it got was a snowball fight in the park. Overall, I do think many readers will enjoy this one. It's light, cute and fun.
