Lightbringer is a worthy follow up to Dark Age and penultimate addition to the Red Rising saga. Lightbringer is clearly the beginning of a series conclusion, and the style is reminiscent of Morning Star. Although some major plot points are wrapped up seemingly too quickly, and others are not mentioned at all, Lightbringer has a clear focus on character journey and growth, with the theme of brotherhood shining through. Lightbringer ends with a light at the end of the tunnel, vastly different from Dark Age and a clear set up for the series conclusion.
