Courtney Peppernell writes so eloquently and flawlessly that this a collection I could read over and over again and find something new every time. I love her message, I love how she presents it. I highly recommend anything written by this author!

Peppernell's books always feel a bit like a diary to me - but one without contextual details and specific people. Maybe an internal monologue journal perhaps? It's a journey inward and softly arrayed words to a gentle rhythm.

While not a work to read if you like deep metaphors or strict stanzas, there is nonetheless something I find soothing in her reading her poetry. It's rather like revisiting a favorite children's book where the simple words and kind messages give you a boost.

Many thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this work.

Time Will Tell by Courtney Peppernell is a collection of poetry and prose that focuses on healing, overcoming our fears, traumas, and insecurities, finding light in the darkness, and more. It's divided into six parts - The Reflecting, The Repairing, The Change, The Awakening, The Emerging, and The Rebirth. Each of them represents a different part of one's spiritual journey and of the metamorphosis we go through as we grow from what hurt us.

I loved the themes in this book - they're basically all my most favorite topics to read poetry about, and so much of them resonated with me and my personal journey. I found solace and comfort in the words, and it felt reassuring and inspiring. I also love Courtney Peppernell's writing style in this collection. There are lots of connections to nature, earth, and life in all its forms, which is my favorite thing in poetry. It felt magical and poignant at the same time.

What I didn't really like is that it does feel quite repetitive. While the different parts are supposed to focus on various phases in life, they all read quite the same, and it made the reading experience a little boring. That took away from the power of the words a little bit. Another thing that I don't often like is when there is prose mixed in with the poetry. That is definitely not something I can blame the book for since it's right in the description and what it intends to do, but I personally like when those two are separate. When I read poetry collections, I just get into a specific reading flow and the prose always disrupts it and distracts from the message of the words. Again, definitely a personal preference, and I'm sure there are people who love the combination.

Overall, this was a wonderful poetry collection, and I would highly recommend it if you'd like something to help you get through difficult times and give you comfort as you try to heal.

Time Will Tell carries the same visceral relatability, Courtney is so well versed in with a whimsical hopefulness that asks you to hold on, without sending like a fortune cookie. I love the art, the progression of the poems and the overall story it builds. She is such a talented writer and I know when I find a new book of hers it will take me on a journey that I didn't know I needed. Grief is hard. Reading this book helps.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for this gifted copy

Time will tell is a collection of introspective poems.
Those reported in this fabulous little book are very profound poems that completely change the way you see yourself. Poems that kidnap your soul, that help you discover your inner self, evolve yourself and improve your person.
I madly loved every poem. Courtney Pepperell entered my heart with her fluid, deep, meaningful pen that pushes you to find yourself and give yourself time.
A very personal and intense booklet. Highly recommended.

I thank Netgalley, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and Courtney Pepperell for sending me the ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Having read previous works by this author, this collection of poems is a new favourite. I particularly resonated with the 'Change' part of the collection.
These poems feel more fleshed out and in tune with the authors experiences, than previous works.
Highly recommended.

Courtney’s poetry always speaks to me.. This collection was beautiful and introspective. Though some times the poems leaned in a self help direction, I mostly found I could relate to her words as Peppernell said many of the things I’ve felt. The illustrations were stunning.

Courtney Peppernell put her ENTIRE SOUL into this book. My heart echoed the feelings that poured out of this book. I felt the ache in my being for the first 45 pages. September Palm stirred such healing, it burned into my brain for the rest of my life. Peppernell has done amazing work in the past so it should not be a surprise that this book is another 5 star for her. The art, the poetry, the feelings it made me feel. I am already going back and re reading my favorite sections.

“ Healing is much like a pile of leaves. The pile does not appear in an instant. It takes many falling leaves, slowly, one by one, adding to the pile”

love love love!!

shocked & disappointed in myself for not picking up any Courtney Peppernell poetry before now, as this book was absolutely beautiful. I loved the storytelling and illustrations throughout.

Honestly I think it was weirdly fated that I decided to pick this up now as I have been fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society this month and their symbol is the forget me not. As soon as I got to Courtney’s poem “Forget Me Not” I was an emotional WRECK.
This poetry book deals with themes of heartbreak and grief, and I resonated with it so much. So thank you Courtney for releasing these beautiful poems as I can imagine it could not be easy exposing such a vulnerable side.

I am looking forward to buying my own paperback copy when this comes out and I am excited to read more of this poet’s work.

Time Will Tell by Courtney Peppernell is a collection of introspective poetry that explores themes of love, loss, growth, and resilience. In this beautifully written and composed collection, Peppernell captures the essence of self-discovery and the strength we possess in the face of challenges. The poems touch on a range of emotions and experiences, offering hope and encouragement to readers. The illustrations throughout the book add an angelic touch and complement the themes explored.

Although the illustrations and the author's compassionate voice shine through, I felt like the collection fell a little bit flat compared to the author's previous works.

Disclaimer: I received an e-ARC of Time Will Tell from Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Yet again, the illustrations are beautiful, and you can feel how compassionate and empathetic Peppernell is. There are some good tidbits in here. But overall, to me, this collection of poetry fell flat. There were poems and there were fable/parable-style stories, but they all felt very surface-level and bland. I didn't feel like there was a lot of deep thinking to do with this collection, which I usually feel with Peppernell's work. Most poems are vaguely encouraging and sad at the same time. It just felt too long, and too the same,

Thanks to Netgalley and Andrew's McMeel Publishing for the e-ARC!

This collection of poetry was exactly what I needed! The cover art is gorgeous. The illustrations inside the collection are of the same theme and all amazing. The table of context was probably my favorite of any poetry I've read of late.
The collection itself was beautifully written and composed. Hits on love, loss, growth, finding oneself, strength and resilience. The beginning immediately spoke to me. The ending had a great conclusion. The middle was well written and the illustrations were angelic.
My only suggestion would have been to make it easier for those on e readers to differentiate between the poems if there wasn't a clear cut off. Some were clearly different from one page to the other, but some left me guessing.
Thank you to Netgalley and Andrews MnMeel Publishing for the ARC of this little gem. Will definitely be adding to my poetry collection when it comes out!

I was given a free electronic copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Definitely buy this book - it's cheaper than therapy!

Just kidding.

"Time Will Tell" is a soft book. It reassures you. It tells you everything will be all right and that it's okay to hurt for the moment. I appreciate that Peppernell made its message generic and acknowledges platonic loss, writing in easy language that you do not have to concentrate hard to understand. If you've read the works of Lang Leave, you will enjoy "Time Will Tell" as it is highly reminiscent of Leav's style.

Courtney Peppernell is one of my favorite poets. Each book I do feel gets better and better. This one took us throw a journey of going through darkness and working on emerging through that stage in life. So many of these spoke out to me, and I wish this was a book I had two years ago while I was going through a hard time. These made me feel heard and understood. Reading these even in a healed state really spoke out to me, especially the last two sections

Time Will Tell is one of my favorites, if not my favorite, poetry collection from Courtney Peppernell. Her ability to convey feelings of emptiness, sadness, and hope is so profound and meaningful that I was drawn into the story immediately. I loved the contrast between poems and narratives and the descriptions of each were both beautiful and unique.

Courtney Peppernell is one of my favorite poets. I could drown in every piece of poetry. The way she writes makes me feel seen and not alone in this world! This book is a beautiful exploration of grief and healing and the long and arduous journey it can be.
