I loved the dynamic between Sonya and the other characters. The ghosts in the home have personalities and make the story interesting.

I enjoyed this book so very much! I did the audio (it was amazing) and from the very first chapter was completely sucked in to Sonya’s life.
The mystery of this house, the brides, and the curse was executed very well. I am DYING to know where the story leads, seeing as this is a trilogy.
I LOVE all the side characters but my absolute FAVORITE is the bestie, Cleo. She is such a queen boss, and I adore her.
There is a romance in here but it just slides so smoothly into the empty spots and doesn’t make the book FEEL like a romance book. It’s so perfect.

I have read MANY Nora Roberts novels and I am a fan of her trilogies because they veer a little more towards fantasy than her usual books - which I also love! You get a little bit of everything with Ms. Roberts. Inheritance is full of secrets from the past to unravel, and a variety of entertaining ghosts.

This was a fast paced read, holding my interest. I liked the characters, especially Cleo, and I'm looking forward to her story and the rest of the trilogy!

This is the first of the Lost Bride Trilogy. What an exciting story! Sonya finds out that there was more of her father's story than she never knew. After a horrible break up Sonya finds out that she has inherited a beautiful manor that belonged to the brother that she never knew her father had The manor is huge and comes with many secrets. Sonya
makes friends and becomes part of the community which she is falling in love with. The book has just enough "scary parts" to keep you on the edge of your seat. Can't wait to see what part 2 brings!! Thank to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange an honest review.

I was completely captivated by Lost Bride Manor! Roberts nails it with a gripping multi-generational tragedy set in a haunted mansion, a supernatural mystery, and masterful, well-paced writing. The atmospheric setting drew me in from the very start, making me feel as though I was right there with the characters. The portrayal of Sonya and Cleo, with their strong sisterly bond, was particularly striking; they’re two independent, creative women I’d love to be friends with.

The cliffhanger was brilliantly done, leaving me eagerly awaiting the next chapter of Sonya and Owen’s story. I enjoyed the e-book alongside the audiobook, narrated by Brittney Pressley, who brought the characters to life and heightened the suspense to spine-tingling levels.

If you’re a fan of multi-generational family mysteries led by strong female characters, well-crafted secondary characters, and a touch of humor, this book is for you. Just a heads-up: the cliffhanger might make you want to wait until the next two books in the series are out so you can read them all together.

The first book in The Lost Bride Trilogy, Inheritance is the story of a young woman named Sonya MacTavish, who discovers that her late father had a twin brother that he never knew anything about. Her uncle has passed away leaving everything he owned to her including a Victorian mansion off the coast of Maine. Having recently broken off from an engagement she’s more than ready for a change of scenery. But she shows up to the stately mansion expecting a welcoming home finds that things are nothing like she thought they would be.
The author writes suspense like nobody’s business and this book doesn’t disappoint. The plot has plenty of twists and turns, the characters have the ring of authenticity, and you can practically hear the creaking of old boards as she moves through the mansion searching out clues to the centuries old mystery. Don’t miss out on this jewel!

I was intrigued, kind of. I was bored, kind of. I think Nora Roberts' books may not be for me. There's a chance I may pick up the next one because it has the potential to be more insteresting, but we'll see. It's not a bad book, it just didn't hook me. And I hate perfect characters. That's my other gripe, and maybe my biggest.

This one was okay. I struggled to stay interested. It felt very long. The characters were interesting and the plot blurbed was fascinating. But the actual book seemed overwrought.

Nora does it again pulling you into this story of Lost Brides. Sonia and Cleo has best friends are a dream duo, and the goth manor sounds like a dream except with the creepy witch! Cant wait for the 2nd book to learn more about these storylines. Beautifully written, wouldn't expect any less from Nora!

I'm hooked on this new trilogy: The Lost Brides.
The main character's world is turned upside down when she inherits a haunted manor in Maine. There is an evil woman, some good ghosts, new friends, a dog, and lots of murder.

I love a little magical realism with some romance thrown in too. Nota Robert's "Inheritance" does not disappoint. Sonya inherits a mansion on the coast of Maine and it is no ordinary house. She realizes she is not living alone and not all her new roommates are of the friendly variety. Along the way she meets the fun cast of characters from the town including her new love interest, Trey.

My only criticism is that this probably a touch too long and a little repetitive with Sonya's day to day activities. This book ends on a cliffhanger with the sequel coming out in November.

Overall, a lighter spooky romantic read.

This book was the most wild I've ever read. I loved the story and was so hooked from the first two chapters. Who doesn't love dead brides and haunted houses that are filled with ghosts who do your laundry and make your bed? Seems like the coziest haunted house I've ever heard of, aside from the evil angry witch ghost who lives on the third floor.

But oh my goodness, I was so frustrated with the formatting of this book. Pure technical complaints, but I can not stand when a writer ends a thought from one character, starts a new paragraph, and continues the thought from that character. So you actually have to check the punctuation to see who is talking all the time. For example:

Sara said, "I love bread and jam.

Especially when they're warm."

WHY NOT JUST KEEP THE THOUGHTS TOGETHER IN ONE LINE???

This drove me utterly insane. And it happened on every single page.

Also the amount of typos in the finished copy was slightly staggering. It was like no one had actually read the book before sending it to the printers.

But, I was hooked and I've been approved for the second book in the series, so I have to go read that right now.

The start of another lovely trilogy from Nora Roberts. Inheritance is rich with world building and strong characters, with some mysticism in the mix. I enjoyed this book. A solid Nora Roberts read.

Nora Roberts once again delves back into the world of witchcraft and I’m all there for it.

Sonya goes through major life changes and ends up in a haunted manor (yup, totally typical of a Roberts novel (chuckle)). I love the curse, but seriously what women do for a man. (smh) I love the friendship between Sonya and Cleo and that is something that the author always includes in her romances (after Silhouette). Steam is another factor that I enjoy and Trey and Sonya have it.

Inheritance is your typical Roberts book and that’s a good thing. It’s a guaranteed treasure hunt to look for answers with some deep love thrown in. Roberts is that stamp on the box for a good book.

Her newly discovered uncle has left her most of his estate, including a Victorian mansion on the coast of Maine. Only his will stipulates that she must live in it for at least three years.

When she arrives she is greeted by Trey, a young attorney who spent a good amount of time at the manor with his family and her uncle. While giving her a tour he acknowledges that the house is haunted. Pretty soon, Sonya notices things are moved around and music randomly plays. A portrait of Astrid Poole is prominently hung in the house and Trey refers to her as "the lost bride". It's clear she's inherited more than just the house, there is a centuries-old curse to break and it's up to her to figure out how to break it.

Nora Roberts is so talented at capturing the mystery and paranormal, holding this reader in a firm grip from start to finish. There's a reason I 1-click on every story with her name on it. This is a book for lovers of paranormal, mystery, and suspenseful romance.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Nora Roberts! I have to admit I was a tad skeptical of this book since I’m generally not a fan of paranormal stories. However, Roberts truly reeled me in from page one. From a broken engagement, inheriting a mansion worthy of a castle, an attorney who has interests in the house, to a host of spirits inhabiting the property, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s an addictive page turner that keeps you hooked until the last page, which is a cliffhanger, as this is a trilogy. This was such a fun read!

Wow, I absolutely loved this book!! The characters drive this story and are amazingly fleshed out! Oh, and toss in ghosts, curses, a haunted manor, and a good dash of romance and this story is perfection!

This book sucked me in quickly right from the start! The main character Sonya is a fantastic lead, with just the right amount of head strong independence mixed with practical emotion. I absolutely loved her!

The main story line is Sonya's inheritance of a haunted manor, and it swept the action along, letting us get to know the wonderful cast of characters even better, including some friendly ghosts.

The author is a master at setting the scenes! I could totally imagine the happenings and the action flowed so easily, even when there were flash backs.

This book ends on a cliffhanger, so I absolutely cannot wait till the next one to find out what happens next!
