I could not put this book down. I have never read this author before but wow, was I impressed. The storyline was original and refreshing. I love almost anything paranormal, especially paranormal cozies. This one has just been amped up to my top five favorite of the genre. Tabby and Sage are incredible with their powers and their love for each other. I love the way that they just keep getting up and going on no matter how many times they have been kicked down.

Even though this is my first time reading the book series, I wasn't lost. Once I figured out everyone out, it was very easy to follow along. I cannot wait to go back and read the first book. Heck, I can hardly wait to read the next book and I know it hasn't even been written yet lol.

The world building was incredible, and I couldn't wait to keep finding out all of the family history of the girls and their friends. This book really gave my mind a whole lot to chew on and I enjoyed that immensely. The ending was a surprise because even though I am good at piecing together mysteries, I had absolutely no idea how this one was going to end.

I, myself, love to make soap and candles so it was really neat to find a book in which that was part of theme. I love that crafting is starting to come back in popularity as I am not sure where we would be as people without it. It's almost a lost art. Anyway, I had so much fun reading this book. I cannot wait for more.

I absolutely recommend this book. What a joy to read!!

Thanks to Netgalley, the publishers, and to Valona Jones for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are mine and completely honest.

I mostly enjoyed this book, but parts of it are a slog to get through. That’s a lot of negativity and trouble going on which really drag the enjoyment down. The killers are caught but the sense that they will face justice isn’t there. #IntheWickodTime #NetGalley

Tabby and Sage are working hard to keep the candle shop filled with goodies for the holiday season. While they may be twins, Tabby’s heart is inn her shop while Sage hopes to take run a nursery one day. After Sage has a confrontation with the current manager of the nursery and he is poisoned, Sage becomes the prime suspect.

Tabby is determined to clear her sister, but something is going on around her and she needs her aunt’s help to control her own powers. Unfortunately her aunt has run off to Florida with her boyfriend, whom has a criminal past. Is he running from a murder he committed? Tabby is going to do her best to figure it out…and control her powers at the same time.

Savannah is one of my favorite cities and this melange of candles, paranormal abilities and twin sisters make for an amazing series. The author really delivered in this second entry in the series and I’m totally hooked on this series. I can’t wait for more in the lives of Tabby and Sage.

Thank you @netgalley and @crookedlanebooks for the ARC of "In the Wick of Time." This is the second book in the "A Magic Candle Shop Mystery" series. It is very much establishing a pattern I'm coming to recognizing these books will follow. These are also what I would call a magical cozy mystery but not your typical witchy one. The primary characters are what they call energy users. I kinda like this and wish my natural empath like abilities were like this, if I have to be an energy absorber why can't it be fair that if it drains me, it could also help me. Not how it works for real but would be cool.

It's interesting that despite them saying their abilities have to stay secret, they sure share it about a lot in this book. They even tell the cops they don't trust about magic and the person who was attacking them even. So, are we just going to keep pretending they're hiding what they are or accept people know now? Is this a route that's going to make us realize they all should have been talking to each other to begin with?

Things ended with some questions left unanswered. I will most likely keep reading these as they do keep me guessing.

I absolutely love a good, magical and cozy mystery. This was my first time reading this author and I fell in love. I loved how the candle shop sounded, the bewitched boyfriend and murdered boss mystery was intriguing. I'm going to read this first book in this series, because this already sounds like it's going to be a fav series.

2nd book in a good series. Tabby and her sister Sage are caught up in several issues, including a bewitched boyfriend and a boss' murder. Enjoyed this one and highly recommend. Always wanted to see Savannah, GA, as it sounds like a delightful yet spooky city.

#IntheWickofTime #NetGalley is the first book I read by this author.
Tabby and Sage are twin sisters who have some unusual talents. Tabby works in the family candle shop, creating unique blends for the shop, including specialty soaps. Sage assists in the shop, and works at a local nursery, her true love being plants.
Sage's boss in the nursery appears ill, and refuses her help to get him to the doctor.
When his sudden death raises questions, Tabby and Sage need to work fast to prove her innocence.
I enjoyed this book, and the characters are colorful and smart.
I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for these sisters.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

This is the second release in the new paranormal cozy series "Magic Candle Shop". I read the first in series that led me to this new favorite series. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the oopportunity. My review opinions are my own.

We return to the Candle shop of witch twins Sage and Tabby for Christmas shopping season as Tabby is busy creating candles and finding her shop to be very successful. Sage works part time at a nursery she hopes to manage someday. After she has words with the nursery manager he is found poisened. Sage is a primary suspect due to their families knowledge of herbs and plants.

Determined to save her sister Tabby begins a investigation that leads her to new paranormal happenings she cannot control and finds someone is controlling the people in their lives and causing harm. A mental breakdown of her sisters long term boyfriend is suspiciously part of the harm, her cat is affected and others near her. Tabby finds her Aunts boyfriend with a criminal past may be involved when they escape to Florida from the police. Without her Aunt for protection her own powers are affected and she is finding clues and red herrings abound in her investigation. As she investigates further her sister and friends are in danger and Tabby find the final clues that lead her into danger and a exciting conclusion.

This was such a fun paranormal cozy read. I love the charming charcters, the coastal area and the well plotted fun sleuth. I did not figure out the suspect and was surprised to conclusion. A very enjoyable next in series.
