This fall/Winter version of Buzz books provides samples of numerous compelling new books. As always I appreciated getting a chance to see excerpts of upcoming books to add to my want to read list. Fall looks like a great reading season coming up!
Thanks to NetGalley for this peak inside.
I was thrilled to be able to read this sneak peak of some fantastic books coming up soon on Netgalley.
I was especially excited to read the excerpt from Kemper Donovan’s upcoming mystery debut - The Busy Body. As a huge fan of Kemper ‘s podcast ‘All About Agatha’, I’ve been desperately waiting for the chance to read this.
Hopefully I’ll get to read the whole book and share my excitement.
I love the ability to quickly capture more information about upcoming releases than just the book description and this is a perfect way do that. Buzz Books is set up to see excepts from four categories: Fiction, Debut Author, Nonfiction, and Young Adult.
I'm so excited to so many debut authors in the LGBTQIA+ and Romance genres! Can't wait for the Fall and Winter to curl up with many good books.
So many great books on the horizon! Can't wait to dig deeper into them, especially the YA titles. I took a class on Native Americans with Ned Blackhawk, so I am especially intrigued by his title.
I would have liked more LGBTQ+ books in there but otherwise a good mix of different geners. I look forward to these upcoming releases.
A great collection of excerpts from a variety of authors, some I'm familiar with (Yangsze Choo's The Fox Wife particularly caught my eye going in!) and some who are new to me. An exciting look at up coming titles!
A pleasure to get the chance to sample some of these upcoming novels! The novels, debuts, non-fiction and YA offerings are to die for.
Woohoo! I love this guide. I printed off the pages and highlighted my TBR for the rest of the year. I love the sections dividing up genres and I love the excerpts! Several times while going over the list, pen in hand, I gasped upon discovering a favorite author with an upcoming release that I didn't know was coming! HOW EXCITING! This is my guide for the rest of 2023 ! Thanks so much for the copy and for putting together such a comprehensive, thorough, well-organized guide. LOVE IT!
This was incredibly generous -- thank you Net Galley. My Fall/Winter TBR is officially full! I have already preordered at least three of these titles and received an ARC of Kiley Reid's newest book.
A wonderful collection of excerpts, of upcoming releases, some by authors with whom I am familiar but many more with whom I was not. I appreciate that I can not only read a summary of what the book is about, I can read a small bit of the book and experience the writer’s style. How a book reads can often be as important as, and sometimes more important than, the basic plot of the story. The assortment of titles is impressive, with selections of fiction, non-fiction, first time authors and young adult. I found quite a few titles that intrigued me enough that I have requested an ARC and added them to my Goodreads “Want to read” shelf. None of them are by authors whom I have read before. I read primarily fiction, with an emphasis on mysteries and thrillers, and while some of the titles I requested are indeed in the mystery/thriller genre, others are general fiction. There is a memoir and a YA book that are also standing out as possibilities.
If you haven’t taken advantage of these resource, I highly recommend that you give it a try. I have in the past discovered some real gems that I would likely never have stumbled across perusing my local indie bookstore’s shelves and tables. Thanks to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch for allowing me access to the advanced reader’s copy of Buzz Books 2023 Fall/Winter.
This book was a good reference to help me decide what ARC book to request. There are can be so many options it can feel overwhelming. Getting a sample of the work also helps me get a feel for the writing as well as story, and if I would like them.
This is great and really helpful guide to browse through for what’s coming up in autumn/winter 2023!!
I absolutely love these samplers every time they’re released, such a fun opportunity to sample what’s forthcoming from authors both well known and debut’s! will definitely be preordering a few of these
Thank you for the preview of what books are ahead. I will likely read everything. and thank the publisher and netgalley for the arc
This is a great guide to upcoming books I may not have otherwise known much about. It’s helped me add books to my wish list! Thank you to NetGalley for providing this great resource!!
As always, this is an interesting guide to find out about upcoming books, or remind myself of ones I knew were coming!
A lot of the books I was interested seem to be available only to wish for, which is a bit frustrating as wishes rarely come true!
Thank you, NetGalley and Publishers Lunch, see you next season.
I always love receiving this book information. It opens me up to so many books that I may not have ordinarily picked up.
I loved this opportunity to to get a sneak peek of some of the most anticipated releases for 2023, and I’m excited to read the full versions when they release. This was a pretty wide reaching sampler, but I have to say my favourites were in the young adult section with Roshani Chokshi’s THE SPIRIT GLASS, Sajni Pastel’s A DROP OF VENOM, and Jason June’s THE SPELLS WE CAST. Hoping to continue to see great choices in future iterations of this!
As always, another season of great books to sample and discover. Thank you, Buzz Books! I always look forward to reading your publishing list and finding new authors as well as familiar ones.
A fun way to see what's coming out soon. Specifically, I am very, very excited for "The Happy Couple" by Naoise Dolan and "The Vulnerables" by Sigrid Nunez.
